La casa muy bonita ,los propietarios muy amables , estuvimos muy agusto.

En general nos gustó mucho

Located in a beautiful historic little village, the property is a model of authenticity and creativity. Tasteful use was made of natural products - floor tiles, wood and stone - and it was full of interesting artefacts as well as a small sample of some of the fossils for which the area is so significant. Notwithstanding all of that, it had all of the modern conveniences required to make for a very comfortable stay. The hosts (Pascoal and Isabel) were great and the breakfast with largely homemade ingredients and eggs from their own chickens were exceptional. There is no elevator but no problem, Pascoal has constructed an ingenious device to transport any heavy baggage to the upper floor. Penha Garcia, itself, has many points of great interest plus it is a very convenient spot from which to explore other major Portuguese attractions such as Monsanto and Sortelha. For me, an absolute stand out highlight of a 2 month itinerary.

The owners, Pascual and Isabel, are wonderful, and the building is incredible with all the wood and stone! They were friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. They had fresh fruit and local bread for breakfast and made us scrambled eggs from their own chickens. The property has a fabulous view and allows for easy exploration of the interesting town of Penha Garcia and the fossil trail. It's also a short drive to Monsanto. We will definitely stay with them again because there is more of the area we would like to explore.

The parking was a little tight if all the rooms are filled, but it was certainly manageable. The bed was a little firm for my preferences, but I still had a pleasant sleep.

The property was super. The bed was great ( big and comfortable), super linens and towels. Exceptional breakfast and service in the morning. Sorry to say that we had to leave since we enjoyed the stay 1000%
