It was an amazing experience!!
We had Ryan as our guide, lucky us! He was always concerned that we could see as many animals as possible, and he could spot animals with great ease. We saw 4 out of 5 of the Big Five thanks to his determination! Terima Kasih Ryan 😊
In addition, the accommodation was very cozy, the staff was friendly, the food was good and there was great communication regarding the transfer!
Totally recommend!!👌

Well kept, very comfortable room
Clean, well organised place
Food is good and tasty
Not much that I didn’t like about the place….
May be a slightly bigger choice of drinks to buy would be great ( only very limited choice of soft drinks available)

Great place to stay. The guides were great and really knowledgable. Great package with good value for money. Comfortable beds. Staff were really friendly.
There was a slight hiccup with the pickup being delayed however the staff kept in contact with us via WhatsApp.

I liked the one guide we had. I forget his name a Filipino gentleman. Unfortunately, everything else was way below par for the cost. I must say they upgraded me to a room 2nd night which was 100 times better with clean sheets and a usable bathroom
Originally I was in the bunk house it is pitch black in there all day. You literally have to use a torch to see inside ur room. The toilets all had leaks and were shared by staff, there was urine on the floor and leaking pipes and clouds of mosquitos at all times.
Staff service was minimal and reluctant, and they seemed to be acting like they were doing us a favour. Our guide was terrible, even turning up late for our boat rides several times.

Lovely surroundings. tour guides were helpful in spotting animals! we saw elephants, monkeys, birds, baby crocodiles! Deffo a must do while here!!!
advertised as 2D1N but only was there about 16 hrs in total due to transfer times. Enough time to see everything though before going up to sepilok for the wildlife sanctuary’s! very early wake up and bus transfer driver drives a bit erratic!

We booked a Cottage room. It was fine, but basic. Probably worth paying for a better room if two people are using the room The included tours were all great- Afternoon and morning boat tours, night and day hikes. The food was buffet, but good. Beer was available for purchase. The wildlife in and around the area were great to see. We managed to see orangutans, proboscis monkeys, langurs, crocodiles, and elephants. The macaques were also everywhere.
There was nowhere to hang anything up or sit anything down. There was a towel bar located under the AC unit but the AC dripped on it. Only one bed lamp worked and the outlets for charging phones were not all easy to access. The bathroom was ventilated to the outside but also open to the room so the AC could not keep up with the demand. The mosquito nets were good, but still got bit during the night, and the nets blocked the ceiling fan as there was plastic on top of the netting above the bed.

The jungle bungalows were so cute! This was a wonderful stay, and I am thankful for the experience. Thank you!

The river cruise was very nice, we have seen a lot of animals. The cottages were nice and comfortable.
BE CAREFUL, if you book the 3D2N package, you have to book 1 night and not 2 as we did, otherwise you pay double. The price for 3D2N package is 570MYR per person. We figured this out after we spoke to other guests. We tried to sort it out via Asia Green Travel (the tour agency behind this booking) and Booking.com, but from Asia Green Travel we didn’t get any reply and Booking was not helping us either.
We had to visit the Asia Green Travel office twice before we got a partial refund. We still had to pay 212 MYR Booking commission costs, even though it was not our fault. At the office they told us to fix this on Booking, now 2 weeks later nothing changed. We felt scammed, it cost us a lot of time and money to figure this out.
We contacted Booking with this, but they took no action at all yet. And Asia Green Travel still not changed this on Booking.
This case smells very bad and they played innocent.

Great staff, comfy beds, strong AC, helpful staff
Wildlife was slightly lacking on river cruises but that’s just luck.

I didn't expect much from a lodge, but this one is a really great place! I loved the food, the staff, the surroundings (even the monkeys stealing your food) and the services provided

amazing location. good facilities considering we were in the jungle. Staff and guides were amazing. River cruises were really good. Kai our guide spotted animals we would never have seen on our own.
3 hours to get there from airport with no toilet stop. if you book with booking.com there is some confusion as to whether you have paid or not - take evidence with you as no wifi there to show you’ve paid. Staff were very good about checking though.

Room was lovely, very comfortable, spacious, AC & a fan, nice shower/toilet & mosquito nets on each bed. Very easy to get around the grounds too. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.
If they sold snacks it would be amazing. There's 3 set meals a day but some of the food is not to everyone's liking & if there were snacks to buy it would be great. The meat in the dishes was mostly bone with barely any meat on them. It's a buffet style service but the food is in large silver trays but no heat underneath them to keep them warm. 3 meals were included but they were all consumed cold. We arrived to a tea treat at 3.30pm our first day and it was freezing cold dessert. Food was a big let down.
3/4 cruises they took us on brought us the same direction. I know they can't control what we see but to be brought the same route 3/4 times was very boring.

no tip sheet on the bed and lack of TP in the bathrooms

This reserve is a fabulous location along the river. The staff are nearly all local and have great local knowledge.
We were given a room overlooking the lake that we had requested on arrival BUT it was very hot and the air conditioning didn't work but we were moved to a much cooler room eventually.
The food - the food includes local dishes and is cooked by locals. The temperature of the food is not important to locals, but when we explained that scrambled eggs were much nicer served warm they made an effort to do this. Overall the food was good -especially the local afternoon snacks
The trips out on the boat were excellent - some trips you saw more wildlife than others, but it was always amazing to be out on the river
The walking trips around the lodge weren't really up to much.
Do not do laundry for guests
The did sell red wine but was undrinkable - would have loved to be able to buy wine with dinner (But they did sell cold beers which we really enjoyed)

We did the 3d2n packages and it was wonderful.
The chalets were lovely and clean and cozy and the location is perfect.
We had a brilliant guide called Ben who did all our tours with us. He was very knowledgeable and he spotted so much wildlife for us and explained all about the animals in really excellent detail. He really looked us extremely well. The other staff were also very kind and really welcoming. It felt like a family.
The food was very very good! I would highly recommend this accommodation!
