The staff were great; friendly and helpful with that Egyptian charm. They were always around to answer questions and solve problems. Wifi worked well too.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They enjoy chatting with all guests and you can ask them whatever question you want and they will provide satisfying answers to all your questions. The prices they offer are amazing and definitely has a very good price/value ratio, unlike some vendors who try to scam the tourists, these people offer reasonable prices which fits the usual pricing of services in Egypt. Every single cent I spent here came back to me as value and very good service. They also organize individual tours all over Egypt, just tell them how you want your excursion to look like, they will definitely find something which fits your desires and criteria.

It was perfect

A very nice, cozy and comfortable hostel that is conveniently located in downtown Cairo. I appreciate the very friendly and helpful staff. I was able to check in early when I arrived and the breakfast is sufficient and delicious. Big shout out to Ans and all the people that help run this amazing hostel.

Not much to say here besides at night you can hear the traffics from the balcony but it’s understandable, as a very busy highway is just outside the building.

Breafast in normal and is acceptable. Location is most near to National Museum in Cario.

Staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful - gave us lots of good advice for where to go, what to do and where to eat. Room was comfy and big. Breakfast was good too. Amazing location right opposite Egyptian museum and with easy access to taxis / Uber. Would definitely recommend!

Very kind and nice staff, they are available 24/h and they help in anything you need. They are very open even about the check-out time and they keep your luggages after check-out. The room was clean, and the bed quite comfortable. Just remember there aren't any products for toiletries like shower gel, shampoo... The breakfast and coffe are good! It's just in front of the Egyptian Museum, so it's plenty to places for eating around, it's not far from the metro station in Tahrir Square.

The place is a rather simple one in an old building (typical Cairo, in fact). Bathroom is not a separate room in the apartment, but rather just a bathroom box. There is not breakfast room, food is served in an improvised manner in the reception room.

Entrance can be confusing otherwise excellent

I liked Heritage Hostel. But my favorite part was the staff. They use their own free time to make sure you are enjoying your stay in Egypt. They will give you their personal numbers in case there is something they can do for you while you are sightseeing in Cairo. It's also right across from the museum so you can begin practicing how to walk across Cairo traffic like an Egyptian. A skill that will come in handy the longer you stay. There are several good restaurants in the area and there's easy access to public transportation.

There is only one thing that I didn't like about the hostel. They try to arrange tours for you. If you speak Arabic, you'll be fine and will probably have fun. I don't and I thought that would be taken into account. My guide around Cairo was an old tired man that couldn't answer any of my questions. My very expensive river cruise was on an Arabic speaking ship. My tour to the High Dam and Philae temple was in Arabic, my Day trip to Abu Simbel (9hours) I got thrown in on a Portuguese group because my English guide I requested didn't show up. My balloon trip over Luxor was cancelled due to weather. I asked for a refund and they kept insisting that I reschedule. At this point I quit. I hired a driver to take me to a hotel and to take me on my own tour of the West bank. They wouldn't say no to refunding my money. They just wouldn't talk about it. I eventually got the balloon ride two days later but that's only because I stayed in Luxor 3 extra days..The food on the ship was.....bland. There was a lot but nothing exciting. When I bought the tickets I was told everything was 5 star rated. I'd give it a 3. So great hostel, bad tour company.

Breakfast was great, we were able to walk across the road for the museum, the staff recommended good places to eat and visit, we were able to leave our bags for a while after we checked out. They also organised me a driver which was a success. Good experience. Would recommend!

The staff were helpful with advice and prompt answering our emails. We felt safe and supported in achieving the aims we had for our short holiday. There was a good friendly and cheerful atmosphere in the hostel The location immediately opposite the Egyptian museum was fantastic !

We liked everything !

The hostel is in the heart of Cairo just opposite the Museum. Very convenient to reach the bus station (Go2Bus) or call Uber any time. Walking distance to shopping district. The receptionist was super helpfull helping us to arrange bringing our forgotten jackets from Hurghada! All staff is very friendly and helful. Highly recommended.

The hostel is located on the 2nd floor of very old and not very maintained building. No worries, just climb up the stairs through a bit dirty area and you reach your temporary home in Cairo. If you are a light sleeper, you will suffer, the noise from the road in 24/7 on... but almost all hostels in the area has the same, so rather bring your earplugs.

The staff, particularly Hela, were exceptional. Great location. Great wifi- better than in many expensive hotels in Egypt. Comfy beds.

The private bathroom was not as we expected. Really just an enclosed box in the corner of the room. The shower wet the entire bathroom, which made it very slippery.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, always there to greet you with a smile, helpful tips for the city, and suggestions for tours/day trips. Anas, Hela and Ahmet are awesome! Excellent location right next to the Egyptian museum and 5 minute walk away from Metro stop Sadat. Delicious home made Egyptian breakfast every morning is a cherry on top!
