Perfect little place to stay that had so much charm and character! Front office staff was extremely nice and accommodating! Clean rooms, warm comfy beds, hot showers. Definitely stay again if in the area!

It was the best value we could find for Yellowstone area. The rooms were clean and located just minutes from one of the Yellowstone entrances (the closet entrance to Lamar valley). There is a little town right down the road where you can find breakfast, groceries and gift shops. The staff was very helpful and super nice. We were running late the day were checking in and we received a call from their staff to make sure we were still heading that way and to leave us checking in instructions since they would be closing the office before we arrived. There is also a small beautiful creek that runs right on the side. Overall it was very nice and I would def recommend to anyone visiting Yellowstone.
Make sure you read description because I thought I had rented a cabin but it was actually a room (which ended up working out anyways because it was super clean and nice).

Location near Lamar valley
No food available in town either the evening we arrived or on the morning we left. We saw no staff what so ever during our one night stay.

The view was great. The room was clean.
The shower was so tiny and was easy to accidentally hit the knob and burn yourself. The Microwave was almost on the floor so we didn’t use it being so low. It was hard to bend over to use it. The little fridge didn’t really cool. No hairdryer.

Great location to Northeast entrance of Yellowstone. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Loved the fireman's pole in the main office!
Couldn't turn on the TV (it was too late to get help). Also couldn't find a hairdryer.

The check clerk was cool, and made my last minute stay relaxing. The room had a view of the setting sun in the mountains and then I fell asleep watching the stars. This is my new favorite weekend mountain destination!

clean room very basic furnishings quiet
I was riding a big heavy motorcycle. it really does not do well on a gravel parking or driveway. getting in or out was a struggle.

The friendliness of the lady checking us in and the place that we went to eat pizza after we arrived were both great.
There was no place to eat breakfast in town. However, there were pastries to go and the people there were pleasant.
I did not feel that our room was very secure and did not feel safe there.

Location was great. Room was clean and had every thing we needed. Beds were comfortable.
Could have used a few more outlets. Microwave would have been nice as well.

Prepare to be surprised (pleasantly) when you walk in the door...(at least during slow season). None of the restaurants in town were open when we stayed a night the end of April , but fortunately, the High Country Motel and Cabins has a store and it was well stocked with all sorts of food. The manager was kind enough to upgrade us to a cabin too! Cabin was very clean. Highly recommend!

i really liked that this property felt like being in a real Cabin in the mountains. the location and scenery were great as well as having a small store nearby for things.

Spacious room.
The stairway located at the back of the parking lot to the 2 story motel building did not have any lights. Coming back to room at night required leaving car headlights on to see the stairs.
