We really enjoyed staying here and hope to come back someday! We are from CO and used this as our overnight stay when going to the Balloon Fiesta and it was great. Easy to find, bed is SOOO comfortable, safe and away from the city. Loved it.

The Yoga Yurta is a great place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle and reconnect to calm. It's exactly as advertised...a super comfortable bedroom that happens to be in a canvas walled yurt. Fall asleep looking up at the stars through the large clear plastic dome in the center of the roof while in the silent foothills of the Sandia Mountains. Enjoy watching the sun set and rise from your private, carefully created, maintained, and comfortable outdoor spaces, then enjoy the rest of the shared grounds. Only 25 minutes from the Albuquerque Airport, but a world away. Gregory is a kind, generous and welcoming host, and we look forward to staying again.

Our stay at the Yoga Yurta was one that we will remember for a lifetime. Gregory was an excellent host, so friendly and helpful. The yurt was decorated beautifully, so cozy and eclectic, we absolutely loved the uniqueness of the entire property. Sunny Mellow is a wonderful oasis, which offers privacy and a peaceful stay. We were able to look at the stars from the property. The bed was super comfy in the yurt, and the temperature was perfect. The bathroom facility and shower was outside, just a very short walk from the yurt. It felt refreshing and rejuvenating to shower outdoors. We had such a wonderful time. When we come back to New Mexico, we will definitely book again at Sunny Mellow!!

We midwesterners visited New Mexico for the first time and chose this little spot to be the base for our adventures. It was perfect! It is right down the street from the Catholic Church so we were able to go to daily Mass and then headed out to explore something different each day. Gregory & Robbie will not steer you wrong! Every restaurant they recommended or sight to see lived up to the expectations. Everything here was clean, organized, comfortable, and yes it IS an adventure to have an outdoor kitchen and bathroom, but isn't that what vacation is for? Don't be worried, you CAN do it. (indoor girl talking here...). The property really is the nicest little sanctuary and we loved greeting each morning to birdsong instead of hotel noises. We can't wait to return someday!

Me and my husband drove in after dark and weren't sure how to get there, but we called Greg and he stayed on the phone with us until we were on the property. He met us in the driveway and walked us to the property. He showed us where everything was and was so helpful. This property is so beautiful and relaxing. We sat in comfy chairs looking up at the stars and just relaxed. The bed is so comfy and we felt like we were outdoors with all the comforts of indoors. We did not turn on the tv or get on our phones once. The ultimate relaxation. We hope to come back! Thank you Greg!

The host gave us excellent directions and was very kind. We enjoyed our stay and it was so nice to be able to see the stars through the skylight in the yurt! An outdoor shower in the morning is an excellent start to the day. I wish I had a chance to try the sauna! My only caveat would be that covid/sickness doesn’t hold a lot of importance to the hosts (to each their own) so just something to be mindful of if you’re looking to stay as an immunocompromised person. Would absolutely stay here again, though, and would recommend it to friends!

My partner and I had a wonderful staycation in the yoga yurt! It was the perfect blend of outdoors and comfort. Perfect traveling distance for visiting Albuquerque, Santa Fe, or just staying in Tajeras. Greg was fantastic about supplying ideas of what to do as well! We couldn’t have asked for a better escape.

This is the second time my wife and I stayed at the Yoga Yurta at Sunny Mellow and it was even better than the first. The owner, Greg, expertly balances engagement and responsiveness with guest privacy. The yurt itself is a perfect balance as well: we could enjoy the outdoors in the shade or the sun and still had a real bed to sleep in. And what a bed it is... We managed to sleep soundly for ten hours each night - that never happens when camping. We'll definitely be back!

We were only here for one night, and were sad that we couldn't stay longer. The yurt was cute and quaint. The bed was super comfy. The view from the sitting area above the yurt was amazing. Greg was super friendly and gracious. I would definitely recommend this place for a great glamping experience.

I always wanted to shower outdoors, got this amazing experience here, now we are seriously talking about setting up a shower for us in our backyard. It was a joy to converse with Greg.

This is a wonderful little eco-village in an incredibly well-designed and maintained property. The host, Gregory, provided excellent online support and his wife, Robbie, spent a lot of personalized time showing us around and telling us about all the details. There is so much to do; a yoga platform, walking trails, campfire pit, an adult swing, as well an a beautiful and cozy yurt with an outside kitchen and bathroom. Lovely stay. Thank you!

We were in town to begin our son’s wedding weekend. This was just the ZEN place we needed before busyness took over.
It was absolutely refreshing in the outdoor shower, peaceful sleep and quiet privacy.

Cute yurt with lots of stuff on the property to enjoy. I loved the little kitchen area. I wish it had been warmer and we could've stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities.

For someone looking for a little adventure by staying at an unconventional location, this is perfect!! Lots of fun cooking outside. The toilet and shower were a short walk away. They were also "outside" but the shower's hot water came on quickly enough. I only stayed one night but had fun. Would be a great place to spend a few days exploring.

We had a cozy, rainy night in the yurt and it was perfect! We loved the beautiful grounds and the tucked away privacy of the yurt. The bed was comfy, the heaters kept us toasty warm, and the outdoor kitchen had everything we needed. It was a peaceful stay.

Just a very enjoyable place. Wasn’t sure about the outdoor shower at first, but it was great. Greg, you have a very cool piece of the world out there, and if we ever get back out your way we’ll hope to stay with you again.

Really unique! Surprisingly warm and comfortable yurt. It rained all night, but had a wonderfully relaxing sleep. Kitchen is outside the yurt, with well appointed supply of cooking equipment. Bathroom is bit farther away, so recommend bring a robe. Only spent one rainy night so unable to fully enjoy the property’s recreation and meditation facilities (fire pit, swing, yoga platform). Host is a welcoming and funny guy. Location is great – just east of Albuquerque, in base of Sandia mountains and at start of the Turquoise Trail. Luxury glamping experience!

Lovely stay! The nearby area was beautiful as well as private and quiet. The outdoor bathroom and shower were just down the hill from our yurt and the outside kitchen had everything that we needed. The coffee provided was excellent. Enjoyed our stay very much.

This is our secret me stay at the Yoga Yurta and we absolutely love it. It’s peaceful, relaxing and just incredible. The bed is comfortable and all of the extras around the property are just wonderful. Thank you Greg and Robbie for providing this amazing place!

It was exactly what we needed, secluded enough to not be bothered by anyone. The outdoor shower was spectacular and the bed was super comfy! It is such a cozy place and we felt so welcomed. The vineyard, orchard and the adult swing was all incredible.

Unique stay in natural setting
We are so happy we stayed at The Yoga Yurta, and the incredible break from highway driving and uninspired travel accommodations it offered. Beyond glamping. The kitchen, immediately outside our door, was way more equipped that we realized, and the shower/toilet facilities were more private and convenient than we imagined. Incredible mountain views from the outdoor chairs overlooking the yurt. Super convenient to Hwy 40, a bit of traffic noise barely intruded on the serenity. Would absolutely stay again.

An absolutely amazing stay. I will be returning anytime I stay in New Mexico. Very welcoming and overall great environment to relax from a long day on the road. Other folks staying on the property were nice and respectful. This has add a whole new memory to the list for our traveling thank you so much.

I wasn’t sure if my husband would like it as I’m more adventurous but he wants to come back and stay for a week! We only stayed one night this time but next time it will definitely be for a week! I can’t wait! Thank you for sharing this beautiful place.

Our host, Greg, was exceptional. He greeted us when we arrived and gave us an informative tour of the property. The Yoga Yurta was privately situated allowing us to enjoy the tranquility of our surroundings and dinner prepared in the outdoor kitchen. The unique outdoor shower and bathroom was just a short walk from the yurt and well lighted at night. There was attention to detail with a bit of occasional humor mixed in. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay and look forward to a return visit.

From the moment that the owner greeted us we feel completely at home. It is a gorgeous place with a great view. There are several different areas that you can go to for peace and meditation and a huge deck all completely shaded for yoga. I feel so blessed to have gone!
