family room is spacious with its own street entrance & access to the garden which is lovely. Room & bathroom are a bit outdated and could be modernised.

Very very clean room with private bathroom. Clesn bed linend, clean towels. We all felt very comfortable Very kind of them to cook the brealfast eggs every morning :) 35 mins train, 65-70 mins bus ride to the centre

The host was very kind and helpfull. They have very nice garden and breakfast area to enjoy your tea or coffee. The host makes perfect English breakfast for every guest. Thank you for perfect stay in London.

We enjoyed a clean and comfortable room and awesome breakfast! The house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood and near a train station. There are supermarkets, restaurants, etc. in the walking distance.

Francis was the highlight. He took well care about his guests and breakfast was perfect!

Good value for money- lots of space and storage-quaint, love the garden and water fountain- peaceful. Comfortable bed and fab shower- breakfast was lovely and cook was very accommodating. Room management and complimentary nibbles was a lovely touch. Easy access to central London with tubes.

The room was very clean and comfortable. And so pretty! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The freshly cooked hot breakfast was very good. The train station is close by, but be aware that the closest station is on zone 4, so it's a bit more expensive. Overall we had a very nice time staying at Melrose House.

The house is old and therefore the floorboards creak and the soundproofing isn't very good. The other guests were pretty quiet so it wasn't a problem for us, but it made us very self-conscious. The toilet was a bit tricky to flush (but it did work, so just a minor annoyance).

It was perfect!

It's a quiet area, you can't hear cars and bars while in your room.

We didn't feel very welcome. Most of the lamps in the room were broken. There should be an explanation about the electric shower, especially for foreigners. We struggled to find the right switch, which was not in the same room. The person making breakfast is on his own so it can take a while and he has no time to change the mugs, cutlery etc between guests. On the second day, many items were missing from the breakfast buffet (fruits, cheese, waffles...).

Everything was perfect. The hosts were great and a good breakfast. Not far to go to railway stations.
