There were bugs on the sheets, mostly dead, but dead bug carcasses. Pet hair and human hair in the bedding of multiple beds as well. It was fully refunded but needs to be more prudent in cleanliness in the future. This required us to locate lodging at 10 pm on a Friday evening.

Cozy cottage and host very attentive to your needs. Well stocked. We were able to walk to downtown. Great for a family retreat for holidays! We loved Eureka Springs and the location and parking. Great fireplace and jetted tubs for a good soak. The one bed in the master was a little uncomfortable on one side but the other beds were great!

A perfect place for a couple or family to explore eureka springs. Loved the character this place had. The porch and stream in the front yard make it tough to want to check out when your trip ends.

I love old houses and this one had everything we needed for a wedding weekend quick trip. Wi-Fi had trouble connecting to downstairs tv but no other hiccups!

This is a turn of the century home, but that's why you come to Eureka Springs. The owners were very easy to work with and the house is well located.

The house was perfect Eureka Springs architecture and location along a bluff rock wall and creek through the front. We enjoyed the quietness of the house, outdoor fire pit and seating. The front porch was perfect for morning coffee, especially when the deer came up to graze. Thank you Gary for our perfect stay!

The house was great for a quick trip to Eureka Springs. There is a great outdoor space and it is a short walk to restaurants and shops. Gary, the host, was very friendly and communicative and check-in/check-out was a breeze.

My sisters and I really enjoyed our stay at this house. The old house brought back good memories of spending time at our Grandparent's home when we were young. The location is great close to everything. Lots of fun things to do in Eureka Springs. be sure you have a GPS, you will need it to get around.

Excellent location close to everything. All amenities were as listed, and the beds were comfortable. Temperature controls were great. The dogs were happy, and we were grateful we could bring them with us. Downstairs bathroom made it easy for my 82 year old mother. Great kitchen. We would definitely book again.

Short vacation. Everything was as stated. We would stay again.

We enjoyed that it was an older home. We loved the location. We came for a wedding, the location for the wedding was about 8 minutes away! We really enjoyed the whole experience! Thank you again!

The only drawback was finding a few cockroaches on the floor.

Came down for a Harley Davidson rally from Ohio. The house was likely built in the 1920s or so. It’s really cute and really enlightening as to how people lived back then. Bed was comfy, location is great, well stocked and just overall a neat little place. If you’re a Hilton Inn, Doubletree, or Marriott type this isn’t for you. If you don’t mind a little quirky house with older appointments and style this is perfect! Spa tubs are both awesome after a hard day riding! Great area for food and shopping (walking distance). Hosts are great and were very understanding when I had to leave early due to a family emergency and I didn’t have time to clean up as well as I normally would. I’ll rent it again for next year’s rally if it’s available!

Very well equipped!! So many towels and shampoos and other amenities! The kitchen was also stocked beyond what we could have expected. The host was there when we arrived, having just mowed the lawn - the house which is cuter than you can picture - the lawn smelled great and the house smells of maple syrup, somehow. We loved our stay so much that we’re planning our upcoming wedding here, now!
Enjoy your stay in the comfy beds! Want for nothing - as all of Eureka is at your fingertips away.

This house was perfect for our needs. We stayed 7 nights and loved everything about it. This was our first visit to Eureka Springs and we trailered a motorcycle. Private parking is secure and large. Great roads and attractions. A short walk to downtown with many restaurants, bars and stores. If you go check out Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville.

I didn't see the 2/2023 review until right before trip. I would agree with that review stating the property needs a deep cleaning. Even a surface cleaning would be indicated. I also think there may be mold above shower. The washing machine and washer/dryer closet smells so strongly of mold or mildew that I chose not to use it. The internet is spotty. There is a directtv box, but very few channels are authorized on it. I have made the owner aware of all of these concerns. He did not indicate if he plans to repair/clean/address. We would not rent this property again. I wanted to leave after the first night when we discovered the mold, but it was a motorcycle rally weekend and there wasn't anything nearby available.

The house itself is older, as expected. It is in need of some deep cleaning. I would expect more attention to detail when previous guests leave. We had to wash dishes before we used them. There were plenty of towels/washcloths and extra blankets. Host was helpful and quick to get back to us regarding questions. We watched several deer outside the house and that was nice. Close to town. We would consider staying here again if it was cleaner.

This was our first time on this property, and we were met with a quick text with instructions, warm home, and nostalgia! The home reminded me of many summers at my Nana’s home. ❤️ Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Cute two story with 2 bathrooms, a master bedroom, along with a loft with a full sized bed plus a twin bed with a twin trundle.

We had fun. It was convenient to everything and we enjoyed the quietness of the location.

I realize it is an older property but I feel it could be cleaner. The sofa cushions were stained; the tablecloth had spots on it; the baseboards were dirty; and the walls could be cleaner.

Loved this home and it had all we could need! Close to shops and also felt private even though it is on the Main Street through town. Would definitely stay again! <3 LOVED IT!

We absolutely loved this place. The location was close to everything yet you have privacy. We loved the house, it was cozy and comfortable. This has been my favorite V.R.B.O. so far. We will be back, usually stay at the Crescent hotel but this affords more privacy having the whole place to yourself.

Our family had a great experience here. It was very easy to catch the trolley and go anywhere around town without driving. It was close to town but not near any neighbors so it was very nice and quiet.
4.0
Strong points included primarily the location, the excellent parking availability, the nice porch for spending evening hours, and the landlord’s prompt responses. On the less appealing side, while the home is an older construction, it’s only superficially clean. Furnishings and decor are so minimal that they don’t add to the enjoyment of the surroundings. The main TV might be better placed in a common area than in the master bedroom. Overall we enjoyed the town very much. A bit more attention to what travelers’ look for in accommodations would be appreciated.

A very cute house with only a mile walk to Main Street with all the shops and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again!

Quaint
Upon arrival it was very welcoming. There was a welcome so glad your here , banner on the porch. When we got inside we realized some things weren't quite as we thought they were when we booked the property. It was a lot smaller then it appeared in the photos. The listing (again with photos) had us thinking 2 bedrooms. There is 1 and an open sleeping space .we made full use of the kitchen which lacked some basic small appliances .
On another note the place was quaint and querky. Where it lacked in some areas others exceeded. Walking distance to the historic area was a plus. The porch was very inviting as was the little fireplace area. We had a deer visit several times during our stay! A few suggestions would be make sure kitchen is stocked with the basics. A toaster and hand towels along with dish soap are needed there. The living room area could use another chair and coffee table. We 4 adults couldn't sit in it as is. (We moved furniture around and made due ) the railing for the stairs needs cut back. Someone could get hurt.

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Loved the cottage and utilized the porches in the mornings and evenings (we were visited by deer each time). Location made it easy to get around town. Check in and out was a breeze. Thank you, Gary, for a great experience.
