Location was good, 2 min walking to the ancient city. (by car 15 min to panda base and 30min to qingcheng mountain). Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was poor but at least had bread, eggs, coffee and fruits for westerners. 7/11 right next door was nice.

Staff barely speaks English (but the ones that do try really hard and are nice). It is policy of the hotel that they cannot call a taxi for their guests. First time hearing this at a hotel and it would actually come in handy since foreigners cannot use taxi apps without a chinese number/bank account. Also, we requested information on how to get to the panda base and it looked like it was the first time they heard about pandas... staff should be informed of the attractions nearby (panda base and qingcheng mountain and even offer some day trips).

Hotel clean, non smoking and no smell at all, staff absolutely friendly with basic English thus no problem at all. I can only recommend. :-)
