Unit 203 was terrific. However, the pool was in desperate need of a good cleaning. The hot tub was not working. The pool and beach gates were a pain for a big family due to only having two keys. It seemed like we were always searching for who had the key.

This is our 2nd year staying at The Crimson. The condo was well appointed, even included some beach chairs. We had a great view and love this time of year when it's not so busy. Right across from John's Pass, which has plenty of restaurants and shops.

Crimson was a step up from other John's Pass accomodations we have previously stayed. Facility is well maintained and the SunHost staff have been very friendly and responsive. Happy to renew for next year and with increased rental rates expect unit and facilty to be in great shape! Long time Madeira family and it never disappoints.

Our Condo was a beautiful 3-bedroom 3 bath unit. Beautifully decorated with beautiful etched full length mirrors in each bathroom. The furniture was very comfortable, the TV a large screen for everyone to enjoy.
The only problem is the one guest room did not have sufficient A/C. It was very hot in there especially right before the sun going down. The A/C was not fixed, but the problem was resolved.
The Hot Tub was spectacular. Very Hot and Relaxing. The pool was a nice size. Pool maintenance could have been better. The pool person left and there were still leaves and debris in the bottom. He took some of it but not all.
I am only giving 4 stars because of the A/C. It was a perfect location and a beautiful condo. Hopefully the owners will have it fixed.

Great place to stay! Just remember you will need to buy ALL kitchen paper products and dish cleaning items like paper towel/napkins, scrubby for sink, and tinfoil. A little hard the first night to use towels to wife your hands and face then washcloth to wash sink dishes. Most items are provided but a small starter kit with those items would be nice.

Crimson 203 was overall a very nice condo. Updates, room sizes, and comfort were all commendable. However, the unit was not without major problems. The first day I walked around the condo without shoes, my feet were black as coal on the bottom. Thankfully, there were supplies for me to clean the floors, but I would have expected them to be clean before we got there. The master bathroom smelled like urine, and there was a spot of mold in the northeast corner of the master bedroom (with the ocean view). Finally—and perhaps worst of all—one of the shower doors fell onto my mother while she was showering on the first morning. Luckily, she wasn’t injured, and to their credit, the owners (or Sunhost?) ensured the door was repaired in short order. Nevertheless, I was disappointed in all of the issues we experienced during our stay.

We arrived about 6:30 PM and followed the instructions given to us in an email. The code we were given to the lockbox was incorrect. I then called the 1-800 number and was told that someone would get to me shortly. After an 11 hour drive, having to deal with a 60-90 minute delay to get into our condo was frustrating. Especially considering I had 4 teenage girls in tow, who's patience was pretty thin at this point. But other than that, it was a great place to stay for a week

The condo was very nice, and clean. Barb from Sun Host was wonderful. The only issue we had was the key. Having a key with you at all times, to get in and out of the pool, and through the gate to the beach was not good.

Great location
Overall we enjoyed this condo, primarily because of the great location across from John’s Pass & the beautiful beach views. It did feel a bit sterile to us; an area rug in the living room would go far in helping the space feel cozier. We also have never stayed in a condo that did not have any coffee filters, a roll of paper towels or anything other than some salt. The cupboards were stripped bare!
Our last day we spent some time in the hot tub, and I noticed later that most of my bathing suit skirt was completely bleached out. I had to throw it away. My husband’s arms have a strange rash on them that I believe is chlorine burn. The pool person needs to do a better job of adding the proper amount of chemicals as this was clearly too much. All in all we would return due to the great location, view & 2 king bedrooms.

September 2019 Stay
This is our second time at this specific unit. As always the space is perfect for our family, we have all we need. Very clean and well stocked. The location is perfect. Can walk to all of Johns pass and all other restaurants are within a 10 minute drive. Perfect spot of beach, never too crowded. We will be back again.
