The B&B is very close to the centre of town and easily walk-able. The car park is also a great bonus. Breakfast was also superb.
We would have liked to have tea / coffee making facilities in our room.

The breakfast was really great. The baked goods were baked by the owners and delicious and served in a bright dining area next to the garden. The location was outside of town yet still walkable from the center and castle. Of course an extremely pleasant couple who made us feel at home :) Much love! Great stay!

We had a fantastic stay at Carraig Rua. We were able to check in a little early, which meant we had more time to walk around Kilkenny, including to the Smithwick's Experience. It was an easy walk into town. Oonagh and her husband were lovely hosts, and the breakfast was amazing. We were able to sit outside on the patio and enjoy the backyard.

Lovely hostess, breakfast was great, choice of Irish Breakfast or scrambled eggs with salmon as well as cereal and pains au chocolat. Sufficiently large room, comfortable bed (about 1.40 meters wide). The center is about a ten-minute walk.

Feels like home ! Very clean and comfortable room, amazing dining room facing the garden , luxury service and very good breakfast

We were made to feel very welcome by the owner who was very knowledgeable about the area. A traditional B&B in an excellent location, just a short walk into Kilkenny where there are a good range of places to eat and drink. Particularly liked Sullivan's Taproom, where they brew their own selection of beers.
Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast at Carraig Rua was fabulous. Great choice is the full Irish, sets you up for the day!
Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be good.
