Very clean, home from home B&B. Welcomed like old friends by Arthur, very accommodating and friendly. Nothing too much trouble at all. Car park. Lovely little touches in the rooms.

That we weren’t staying longer

Friendly host. Every detail thought about in terms of provision of comforts ...everything you needed was there. The breakfasts were wonderful, the location was perfect. I cannot recommend to highly. We had a lovely stay.

Clean and well maintained. The owners were very considerate and accommodating. Close to the town centre. Property has a private car park which makes things much easier.

The owners /staff were excellent, very friendly and went out of their way to help.

Breakfasts were very good, freshly prepared and delivered by Arthur promptly. Our favourite part of the stay was probably Arthur and Jane's lovely Old English sheepdog, Barney! The room was pretty much ideal (though see below) and, despite being at the front of the house and overlooking a main road, was pretty quiet. There is off street parking close to Aydon House, which was useful; we travelled there by car.

We felt that the en suite in our room was on the small side - it seemed to have been created from a corner of the room. We got the hang of it, especially the small shower cabinet, reasonably quickly.

Wonderful place to stay in Alnwick , Aydon House has everything and more for what is needed to stay in Alnwick, great location , fantastic breakfast . Arthur and jane couldn't do enough for you .

Ideal location, clean, big room, en suite facilities, private car park for residents

Excellent location to walk into Alnwick and to the castle and gardens. Private car park was very useful. Great base to explore the wider area. Host very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. A stay here is highly recommended!

Breakfast was delicious. Arthur and Jane, the hosts, were great, so friendly, kind and helpful. Would definitely stay there again but for longer next time.

The power shower in our bedroom was powerless; or perhaps I didn't have the knack. In any case I had a cold non - shower.

Location excellent, short walk in to Alnwick, lots to see and do. Very helpful but not intrusive, breakfast excellent.

Lovely old building and very clean, perfect hosts, very friendly, perfectly placed for a quick 5 minutes walk into town. Castle and gardens within walking distance as were pubs and restuarants. Would thoroughly recommend The Market Tavern, a bit noisy when busy but the food is worth it and the staff very friendly. Also Sherkhan, Indian restuarant, best onion bhaji's I have ever had.

The crowds, the staycationers have thronged to the area, it was always busy but now is unbearable I think we will stay at home until they all go back abroad again and the traditional staycationers can once again enyoy their holidays.
