Gil & Sharon Simmons are awesome hosts. They are good communicators and have been highly accommodating. Gave us a bunch of privacy. Gil and the generations after him are lobster fisherpeople. I strongly recommend guests use Jameson Point Lobster, very good price and they will steam them for you to take home or whatever. Great place! Very peaceful location. Great to see the tide action. Pretty boats in a little harbor! Just right for 2 adults - great TV - the wifi internet was pretty weak and sporadic. Generally good cell coverage in the area. Hate to say it as I love this hidden gem - want it just for me. Absolutely fantastic.

It was a lovely space with a great view - the hosts were extremely gracious and helpful with recommendations on things to do - and the location was a convenient home base. The local lobsters were amazing! We had a great stay in Friendship 😊

This property was perfect- clean, recently built, and with a beautiful view from the deck and loft room. The hosts could not have been better. They shared so much information about local attractions and the best places to eat. I'd say more, but then everybody would want to stay there and we won't be able to visit again next time!

OMG! There aren't enough words to express our appreciation to the hosts - Sharon & Gil - for making our 20 year anniversary trip very memorable. The cabin was perfect and very comfy. We used the deck every day for our morning coffee and evening happy hour with a view of the bay. Exactly what we were expecting...I wanted to be on the water!! The cabin was perfectly equipped for all of our needs and close to conveniences - grocery, restaurants, etc. I hope after you read our review, you will book this cabin. You won't regret it! We're already planning our next trip back to Maine!!

The guest house was comfortable and clean, with a great view of the ocean from the loft and the deck. Friendship is an easy drive to the ferry to Monhegan Island, lighthouses, lobster restaurants. It was a treat to get to know the hosts, Gil and Sharon, who were very helpful, kind and responsive.

Sharon And Gil were phenomenal host. The communication Sharron provided was prompt at every point. Gil was patient with me, taking time out of his day to talk about the history of Friendship and his Lobstering career. The accuracy of the listing was spot on. The house was modern and clean. One can see the beauty of the property from pictures, however I was thrilled to see the beauty in real life. The smell of the sea goes well with fresh coffee. Checking in and out was streamlined and efficient. Everyone we met in Friendship was helpful and willing to chat with us. The whole region is gorgeous. We found many places to visit with a short drive. And Sharron has a nifty folders full of brochures and maps, highlighting areas of interest. We were honored to stay with Sharron and Gil. This location was absolutely perfect for us to be able to launch our kayak and explore the area. Sharon and Gil had provided everything we needed, gave us a great overview of the area describing places of interest, and Sharon even went with us on a sunset kayak to make sure we know how to get to a special place the next day. We loved our week there!

The property has a lovely little deck overlooking the cove where we spent a lot of time. The downstairs bedroom is small but we kept all our belongings in the upstairs room which is quite big. TV was great, WiFi signal was intermittent. Overall the hosts were willing to address any short comings. However, there are no laundry facilities. There is a great coin operated laundry in Damariscotta which also does service washes. The kitchen was fine but if you like to cook the utensils are basic. We loved our time there. Friendship is a beautiful spot with a lovely community of full time residents.

What a terrific place to spend two weeks with my 83 year old mother on the coast of Maine. Restful with a beautiful view! Close to many attractions and activities in the area. Gil and Sharon are super hosts and worked hard to make our time special. Sweet memories made here!

The property was neart and nicely decorated. Putting in the kayaks at the little town landing (which is very private) couldn't have been easier. We had so much fun exploring the coastal waterways ans found some good mtn. bike trails in nearby Camden as well. Would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful, peaceful location in mid-coast Maine, off the tourism path but close enough to visit all the key spots. Sharon and Gil are wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful with any location guidance or local knowledge. Any need - extra bedding, wine opener, etc. was immediately attended to with a smile. They were always responsive and made it a priority to have you feel welcome and comfortable. Even steamed lobsters were provided - what treat! The location is quiet and serene and lovely for kayaking along the coast. Sharon even took me for a lovely kayak tour where two bald eagles flew overhead! The cottage is as charming as can be - beautiful Maine pine, a small deck with a grill to sit out and view the sunset over the water. Everything is new and nicely appointed in crafty, elegant style. Relaxing, reading, and gazing out the window from the light pine upstairs loft was "just right". This is the perfect spot to rest, relax and explore and soak in the beauty of the area. Absolutely lovely stay on all levels. Thank you!

We couldn’t have been happier about selecting Gil and Sharon’s place. The location is unsurpassed, whether you want to paddle out on the water or just look at it from the deck(the lovely sunset picture in the listing does not begin to do justice to the actual view.) The cottage itself is spacious. We liked particularly the upstairs sitting room. Kitchen well equipped, mattress is good and firm, and plenty of hot water. The unexpected treat was Gil and Sharon themselves. They went out of their way to make us welcome, and as multi-generation locals, had a treasure trove of knowledge about the area. And, not the least, when we wanted lobsters, they came right out of Gil’s traps. We are putting iton our list of annual summer holidays.

A perfect jewel box of a place overlooking a little cove. Inside covered in light pine and sparking new and comfortable. The kitchen and gas grill made for some lovely dinners, and we provisioned daily at the little market 5 mins away. Did I mention the deck!! The cormorants, jumping fish, eagle -- a hotbed of activity overlooking the water. What you do is hav Mid-coast kayak deliver a few sea craft by your arrival, walk the few steps down to the dock and paddle around dozens of gorgeous islands. It's never the same twice (especially not with Maine's tides.) Thanks for the squashes from the garden also Sharon! Those made for nice sides on the grill. Oh, and if you must stay on land, Pemaquid point is not far, and there are a few nature trails to walk as well. So quiet and cool. Thanks.

Wonderful little cottage with all the amenities. The views are beautiful and the area is so peaceful. Sharon and Gil are helpful but respect your privacy. They offer freshly cooked lobster and deliver them to the door. Truly a Maine experience.aexperience.

The cottatge was in a great area. Very private. Dead end street. Access to boat ramp 1/4 mile away. Swimming at the boat ramp was great. Overall excellen vacation. Easy access to Rockland museims, Owls Head Transportation museum etc.

The property is clean, brand new and has a lovely water view off the deck. The hosts were so amazing, they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. They also catch fresh lobster right from the dock. The Best lobster dinner I ever had. Thanks so much for having us. I wish we could have stayed longer.
