I believe this was our 3rd time renting this home. Nice home in a perfect location - within walking distance to the ocean and a resort. Just a few miles from many restaurants and shopping. The home is well furnished and the bedrooms stay cool in the evening, although it does get a bit hot in the day in the main living area. Who stays inside during the day though? The pool is the best part!! Lovely and private. The only issues we had was with the ice maker - never worked, but management brought us a few bags of ice asap. Oh and I wish the hot tub was working again! We missed using that at night. Definitely recommend.

Home is in a great Poipu location and nice neighborhood. Walk to beach in less than 10 min. Home itself needs some maintenance. Do not anticipate use of the pool or spa on the property itself, as the heater is out of commission and water (in Nov) is cold and not well cleaned. We were told after we arrived that the heater has not been working for over a year. There is use of the alternate pool offsite. There were a few other maintenance and cleaning issues we found upon our arrival, but the property manager was quick to respond to those issues. The house is roomy, quiet and comfortable. Worked well for family gatherings. Kitchen is large and well equipped. Be aware that there is a separate guest house on the property which also gets rented out and the driveway is shared. (Take note of that on the rental agreement)

Ideal location that's conveniently separated from the nearby condos but a brief walk to the beach for sunsets and happy hour or hikes along the water cliffs.

We had a great time! This home offered ample space for our family, both inside and out. We spent most of our time either in the pool or at the nearby beaches. I would absolutely recommend this home!

This house was great! We go to Kauai 1-2 times a year. This home was great for our family of 5. The pool in the back yard was definitely the highlight and spent enough of our kids energy that they slept through the night every night! Only complaint is that I wish the spa was working. Luckily it's Kauai, so a pool is much more valuable than a spa. Will definitely be back, and hopefully by then, the owners will have authorized their management company to fix it.

Perfect Family Home
This house was great! We go to Kauai 1-2 times a year. This home was great for our family of 5. The pool in the back yard was definitely the highlight and spent enough of our kids energy that they slept through the night every night! Only complaint is that I wish the spa was working. Overall, ok property, not great. Would not stay at this property again. Will be back to Kauai though!

Perfection!
This house was everything we could hope for and absolutely perfect for our 3-generation family. We had adults in each room and a toddler sleeping in the very large primary closet in the included full size crib. There was plenty of space for everyone and it was ideal to not have to use up a room for the crib.
The yard, pool, hot tub, bbq, and lounge areas were paradise. Seriously the best place to enjoy morning coffee, a cool down dip, and toddler naptime. The landscaping is expertly crafted and so enjoyable. All rooms and amenities indoors were wonderful as well. The primary room bed is so comfortable! There were a few mechanical issues with some larger appliances but we made due and the management company was responsive.
The location of the house could not be better. It was one of the highlights of our trip to be able to walk to the Poipu area beaches with all our gear in a wagon (a rental that worked perfectly) and just relax and enjoy the family-friendly area.
The management company was very helpful with several inquiries leading up to and during the trip.
This house was a splurge for us but totally worth it. It enhanced and simplified our trip in so many ways, I dream about being able to stay here again some day.

It definitely felt like we were staying in someone's "home". It smelled nice. Kitchen, absolutely gorgeous. Former guests had left unopened food & seasonings, which I think was great! (We left some, too.) The mattresses were comfortable. The master was huge & I loved how it opened up to the back patio. Otherwise the furniture was well used, but nothing unlike an average home.
We felt safe in this beautiful neighborhood. Wonderful location, truly excellent. We would love to come back some time.

It definitely felt like we were staying in someone's "home". It smelled nice. Kitchen, absolutely gorgeous. Former guests had left unopened food & seasonings, which I think was great! (We left some, too.) The mattresses were comfortable. The master was huge & I loved how it opened up to the back patio. Otherwise the furniture was well used, but nothing unlike an average home.

Quite large and spacious. Lots of room in house to spread out. No AC in main living area but a nice cross breeze with open windows and ceiling fans. The bedrooms all had AC. The carpet in the master bedroom did look a little tired and dingy, but was clean. Plenty of dishes pots and pans in the kitchen. A great getaway location for our family.

Great house for a family vacation
Had a lot of fun hanging out at the house and enjoying the pool and jacuzzi. The house is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and beach chairs for you to enjoy the beach close by! It was a great time!

Excellent
The home was perfect for us -- beautiful inside and out!! As I had my daughter with her family (three young grandchildren)on this holiday, we took total advantage of having a pool and hot tub at our doorstep! The weather was great so we could barbeque and eat outside most nights. Also, location was great for a stroll to the beach to see the sunrise and sunset .. highly recommended

Amazing House!!!
Pros:
This house is a dream house. Clean, private, well located, amazing back yard and pool, well stocked kitchen. Lots of places to hang out as a group, but big enough to find privacy as well. Easy walk to beach and Hyatt. I would come back here over and over again.
Cons: Coffee maker wasn't the best and overflows and the grill needed a solid cleaning.

Plenty of room for me and the wife, our teenage boys, and tween daughter to spread out and relax. We had plans for each day in thr south of Kauai, but one day we just spent poolside recharging our batteries. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful Retreat - Enjoy the Tropical Breeze by the Pool
This is a no brainer, go for the pool, hot-tub, and large house, then, be amazed by the location.
What a wonderful house for large families, or those who like their space. Unplug from it all. Please don't ask me about how the T.V.s work, we never turned them on, rather, we enjoyed the time out by the pool and hot-tub, or one of the local beaches within walking distance.

It is in easy walking distance to poipu beach where we snorkeled, swam, and saw turtles and monk seals. Brennecke’s beach is also walking distance with excellent boogie boarding. Also walking distance to a hiking trail just past shipwreck beach. The house also has access to the tennis courts which we used a few times (it cost $10 per person each time).
There are lots of good food options nearby but I would recommend reservations made a month or two in advance because they fill up quickly.

Great property
We really enjoyed our stay! We travelled with 3 kids under 5 and it was perfect. There was a crib, books, toys, games and videos for the kids. Everyone enjoyed the pool. There were plenty of floats as well as chairs and toys for the beach. Shipwreck beach was an easy walk along the greenway with a stroller. The pool was a bit cold in November but refreshing in the afternoon after walking home from the beach. Poipu beach was a little further but also walkable. Great property! We will stay here again when we come back to Poipu.

Family Get Together on Kauai
Six of us - 3 grandparents, 2 parents and a 22 month old grandchild stayed at Loki Lani in Koloa near Poipu Beach for 9 days in early May 2018, and it was as advertised and everything we hoped for. House was clean, well-equipped for all of us including age-appropriate toys, and located near all the beaches, restaurants and points of interest we planned on visiting. Pool was great, but hot tub was inop due to a part on back-order. In compensation, rental manager Jeremy compd us with a generous gift certificate to a local restaurant. Jeremy was immediately available to answer questions, provide assistance or address minor issues. The damage deposit was refunded promptly after we departed. Not so happy, however, with the VRBO "service fee" (about 5% of the total rental cost and fees) which was tacked on with very little or obscured prior notice. I assume property owner or agent also pays a VRBO fee (obviously passed on to us renters), so this represented heavy double-dipping by VRBO. Next time we search for a vacation rental, we'll do our best to avoid VRBO and will recommend likewise to friends and associates.

A Mellow week in paradise
My girlfriend Barbara is a retired realtor and she says houses have an aura about them from the people who have lived there. Loki Lani had a most positive aura. We enjoyed our week there very much. The house and the yard were perfect for relaxing. Everything needed was there from seasonings to pool toys. he area around the house is nice for walking and there are many great restaurants 5-10 minutes away. We will be back.

Seriously perfect. The location could not have been better, the backyard was fantastic, and we had everything we needed. We were torn between enjoying the backyard or hitting the beach, so we did both every day. Thank you for a fantastic stay, we will most definitely be back!

It was exactly what I needed - to share time, stories, laughter and all around fun with my family.
Pool was wonderful to cool off in as well as the hot tub to relax at night after full great days in the sun. Star gazing at night on the patio was also something that made our stay here that much more enjoyable. Yup, we will be back. Thanks!!!!

Wonderful property. Just as advertised.
The property was excellent. A great layout, in a great location, with a wonderful garden. The pool and hot tub were great to start off the day or for evenings after a day at the beach. The kitchen and dining area were great and the two sitting areas provided space. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was great. We will absolutely look to stay here again on our next family trip to Kauai. Thank you.

Great accomodations for our Kauai vacation.
This beautiful home in Poipu Kai met our family needs perfectly. The home had what it takes to make a fun vacation for my wife and I, our three teenage boys and my wifes mother a perfect trip. A beautiful pool and spa, a seaparate bungalow for our older son, AC in the bedrooms, open space living area and well equipped kitchen, all within a short walk to the beach are hard to beat. Walking distance access to several restaurants, beaches, the Hyatt, the Kiahuna Shopping Center all make this a great location. The sleepy little town of Koloa with market and shops is a few minute drive. All in all a great property in an excellent location. We won't hesitate to book it again on our future trip to beautiful and fun Kauai. Aloha The Holdens
