Location of property was good. Breakfast had a good variety of foods and was replenished frequently. Rooms were clean and lots of space. Liked the mini fridge and microwave.

It was noisy in the halls at night.

Rooms were not cleaned. Pool temperature was extremely low that it was not enjoyable. Pool area had garbage laying around. Chewed gum was stuck to the pool lounges. Staff were unfortunately extremely rude when issues were brought to their attention. The rooms were very dated for being newer hotel. Common areas around the hotel were littered with garbage. We stayed at the hotel for two hours before deciding to book with another hotel that was more accommodating. Wifi was exclusive to members only and this was a work/Leisure stay. We had to make a rewards account yet after staying for two hours left the hotel to stay at the Holman which was extremely friendly and accommodating for such short notice. Was tempted to tell arriving families to not bother wasting the money and time as they were waiting to be checked in.

Facilities

I put notes about a medium sized dog and small cat. Room was not pet room at check in. Hotels always charge way to much in extra fees for a dog and cat that cost them nothing to accommodate. Wish I knew what I was paying when booked on app, always 60-100$ more after stay... Not worth using Booking.com App ... Next time I will use AirBnB and pay the price quoted.

We liked the location, you're close to downtown & situated nicely if travelling further out. You could walk up to a nearby bar, Yogi's for a beer & snack, the gas station, and you're handy to the grocery & liquor stores. The fridge, coffee maker & microwave in our room was a great convenience. The hotel is pet friendly, and it had a small (shallow) pool. My son and I went down one evening and had the pool all to ourselves, it's also open until 10pm (if I remember correctly). The hotel was quiet, I'm not sure about the number of guests, but we didn't hear anything from adjacent rooms. Nice staff.

There isn't an outside garbage for picking up after your pet. Why? We took our pets out at the front of the hotel, so perhaps there was in the back. The room wasn't spot on clean, mirrors streaky, bathroom floor corners missed, nothing major enough to complain to the staff about. The complimentary breakfast wasn't very good. I didn't try every item but the coffee was very cooked/old, which was strange because it stored in an urn and not on a burner (this is a DP Murphy Hotel the same Company as Tim Hortons after all), the scrambled eggs were horrible (strange texture & they tasted like water), the ham? was that ham? yuck. There were some items, fruit, toast, bagels, and muffins that were good. Why no bar? This I knew going in but, why? BUT number 1 on the list was being charged for our PETS!! There was nothing noted in our reservation (done through Booking.com) about this extra charge. The hotel didn't even have the required (as per their own policy which we signed off on) door hanger indicating that there were pets in the room...?
