everything was good, lake view hotel.

Nice location , room overall ok and clean, friendly personnel. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but good.

No hot water, problems communicating with personnel in english or french.

The staff, the location, and the food. And the views from the room and from the porch in front of the room. And the table in front of the room so you could sit and eat or work on the porch. Your own table. For just your room. With a comfortable chair. And the blackout curtains and the smaller pillow in addition to the two stiff big ones. And the hot shower. And having a refrigerator. And that there was some design and wood and matching furniture. At what seems by Western standards to be a very low price. And spotlessly clean.

If you don't order in advance I think they start cooking a meal when you order it. So it takes over an hour. But you can order advance. I just forgot to do it. And there is some deferred maintenance in the room. A leak from the sink to the floor. And the refrigerator door doesn't stay closed. But I'm so glad to have a refrigerator propping it closed with one of the nightstands was perfectly fine. Especially for the price.

A Beautiful stay with a stunning view.

I loved the sea view from my room (number 11) and the terrace in front of the room. The restaurant offers a good variety of food (african and international) with a great sea view as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

lovely hotel on the hill with a beautiful view of the lake. easy walk down to the lake for boat trips etc, which the hotel is able to organise for you. restaurant in the hotel serves good food, and the hotel staff are extremely helpful. I became unwell during my stay and the staff went above and beyond for me.

The location is amazing, quiet and in a green area overlooking the lake (good spot for sunsets too!). The staff is helpful and always available and the room is also good.

Eric the waiter in the on site restaurant was exceptional. He was attentive without being intrusive. he was very efficient whilst being humble and polite. A great asset to this establishment. Such a shame the facilities didn’t match his standards. The room balcony and restaurant over looked the lake. it was a short walk to the lake and a 20 min walk to the town. The food when it arrived was good.

We had 3 beds in our room. The sheets weren’t large enough for one of the beds and it had a thin blanket which was not warm enough at night. The shower curtain was covered in mildew and black mould in the shower cubicle. There was no hot water and the towels, that were supposed to be white were grey with brown ditched marks. We waited 90 mins the first night for our meal to arrive.

Wonderful location, great staff and waiter Elik was just amazing.

Rooms are not soundproof so you can hear your neighbours talk + the mosquitos buzz so I would suggest to plug in the repellent when you arrive.

The staff is very friendly. Location is superb. The property is located less than 100 metres away from the lake. The property is on a small height, so you will have a very nice view of the lake.

Their restaurant takea really long to prepare your orders. Expect 1 hour to 90 minutes time.

Service in the restaurant was very slow as other travellers also pointed out: once it was 90 minutes for a dish when we were the only costumers.

The staff really is great! The location is good as well. It's a good starting point for some tours.

In terms of hygiene and quality of facilities it was quite poor. To be honest, the price they demand is reasonable, so you can't expect top level for that. But I would still appreciate to raise the level of hygiene a bit.

Hot water worked well. Room was neat. I don't remember warding off mosquitoes. Room had a small writing desk and a cupboard. The attached restaurant has some tables that afford a nice view of Lake Kivu. The staff helped me book boda bodas. Place is not hard to find. I had to go to Cleo Hotel for a wedding and I didn't mind walking there in the afternoon because it's quite a scenic 20 min walk (when it's not super sunny). I didn't do any boat rides on this trip, so I can't comment on proximity to the boats. The staff at the restaurant are friendly. Breakfast was quite alright. I ordered a rice and curry for lunch. Quite tasty. It's decent value for money for two nights.

The bathroom needs work. The shower curtains and rod collapsed on me and I had to fix them back into the hole in the wall. The floor of the shower cube was chipped, cracked and stained. I had the bathroom slippers on while showering. The room/bathroom didn't have a bin when I arrived and I had to ask for it twice after the staff insisted it was in there. Bedside lamps didn't work. The walls between rooms are thin. The rooms are packed closely. Guests / staff tend to talk loudly outside the rooms and the sound of neighbouring doors opening / shutting woke me up several times.
