We would highly recommend staying at Acadia Yurts when visiting Bar Harbor/Acadia. The property was exactly as described and pictured. The Yurt had everything we needed to make our stay cozy. We visited in October and although the nights were chilly the heaters were phenomenal and we were completely comfortable throughout our stay. Aaron and Karen are excellent hosts - checking in on us, making sure we had everything we needed and sending prompt updates regarding the property. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed.

Perfect glamping experience on the edge of Acadia National Park. Responsive and knowledgeable hosts. Amazing yurt! I'd give it 6 stars, but 5 is the limit.

The yurt felt warm and inviting for our fall getaway. The kitchen was adequately stocked with cookware and the couple of things we thought were missed were found available in the laundry barn.

We just loved this adorable little yurt village. A magical little paradise separate from the hustle and bustle of the more heavily populated parts of the area. Perfect location with close access to some of the best parts of Acadia. Already recommending it to our friends. We loved every minute!

Property was exactly as described. We had an incredible stay. I am not a "camper" so slightly nervous before arrival but this was honestly much larger and much more comfortable than the beach condo we usually rent. Highly recommend!

Great vacation, easy logistics, easy communication, peaceful, sauna is relaxing. Exactly what the listing states. Bring camping chairs for outdoor time at the yurt. Deer every day, eagles, & turkey. Plan on returning. No tv was wonderful. Very clean, bathroom is spacious with solid water pressure. Kitchen perfect. Grocery store around the corner. Coffee shop at the corner is a must. A++

Never again will I sleep on the ground. From now on - only yurts. What an amazing facility!! All of the comforts of home coupled with the joys of the outdoors. We were amazed at how identical the yurt is to the pictures. Amazing facility and we are planning our return already!!

After looking at other glamping experiences and VRBO properties, we chose Acadia Yurts as it was the perfect combination of both options. We loved being on the quite side of the island, and the smaller, more intimate feel of the property. Karen and Aaron were very responsive to questions, and our stay at the yurt went perfectly. We stayed in the larger yurt (for a family of four) - our kids loved having their own space upstairs although it was not really necessary - there is a lot of room in those yurts! Access to laundry and community items was a huge plus. Thank you to Acadia Yurts for an amazing stay on MDI!

Amazing stay at Acadia Yurts. If you are looking for the quiet relaxation of camping, but want a bit of “glamping” instead- consider staying here. Very clean, quiet, quaint and comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will return. Enjoy the experience of touring the bustling area and return to the serenity of yurt living. We will return!

After long days hiking around Acadia, my sister and I loved coming back every night to the quiet and cozy yurt. It's super close to everything including Bar Harbor. Definitely stay here if you want something a little different but still comfortable.

From check-in to departure the yurt was a great experience. It was rustic but met all of our needs. To us, it also seemed way bigger than we were expecting.

We traveled to peep some leaves and stayed here for two nights. We flew into Bangor airport which was the easiest baggage/rental car process of any trip we’ve taken! We drove in late to the yurts so no one was on staff but we had no trouble finding our place and getting in using the convenience keyless code lock. The kids loved the loft under the skylight with views of the stars and trees. The beds were comfortable and the whole yurt was very spacious! This location was convenient to places to eat, Acadia, the Bass Harbor Lighthouse, and Bar Harbor. We didn’t stay long enough to try any of the Wellness Center amenities but everything was very clean and quiet so I’m sure those would’ve been great. There was also a storage house with games, cooking staples, bathroom staples, and a washer and dryer (quarter-fed). This place really did think of everything and knows how to make their guests feel comfortable and get the most of our their stay! We will be telling our friends who are traveling to Maine soon about this spot!

My husband and I have always wanted to stay in a yurt. He is a little more into “roughing it” than I am, so Acadia Yurts was a perfect compromise. We did plenty of hiking, biking and spending time outside, but we had a hot shower, comfortable bed and a warm space to enjoy star-gazing at night.

What can I say other than this property was exceptional! My family and I had the pleasure to stay here during our week long trip to see Acadia National Park and it’s surrounding areas. Aaron and Karen were always accessible and made the entire stay as worry free as possible. It was a comfort knowing how clean and well maintained the property was. You could really tell a lot of love and thought was out into everything here. There are so few places that truly exceed expectations, this is one of those places.I look forward to visiting them again in the future!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Acadia Yurts!! It was clean, cozy and the perfect amount of space. It was close to Acadia for hiking, Bar Harbor and the rest of MDI! Karen and Aaron were gracious hosts and you can tell they have been so thoughtful about the set up they have. If I ever make it to Acadia again I will stay here again!

We had a great time staying at Acadia yurts. The yurt was very spacious and had all necessary amenities. The yurts were thoughtfully laid out on the property giving a nice level of privacy. I also enjoyed Sunday morning yoga class. Great fun! Aaron and Karen were very pleasant and friendly.

Staying at Acadia Yurts was a wonderful experience! It was clean and cozy, had everything we needed. We did a lot of sightseeing in the surrounding area but when we were back "home", we thoroughly enjoyed it. We highly recommend "glamping" at Acadia Yurts!

Great location, comfy lodging
We traveled to Acadia with our elementary-aged kiddos. We loved the Norumbega yurt. It was clean and extremely comfortable. We cooked at the yurt often, and it had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was smooth. We love this quiet side of the island for exploring. We'll definitely book again whenever we return to Acadia.

This is a very quiet location! It wasn’t too far of a drive to go into Bar Harbor each day. The hikes were quick and easy to drive to as well. The yurt was perfect for us! It was extremely clean. We plan to return!

Family Road trip to Maine
My husband and I had wanted to take a road trip to Maine a few years ago, but due to Covid we waited just a bit. So we finally booked our trip and made it a family road trip with our 2 year old. We booked the larger yurt so my husband and I could hang out after putting our toddler to bed. The yurt worked out perfectly! We would wake up and have breakfast then head out for an adventure. The location was amazing. We would come back for lunch and our sons nap then head back out for dinner. The last night we enjoyed making s’mores at the fire. Check in, coming and going, and check out we’re very easy. The owners made the check out process very easy. The also checked in on our second day and always responsive. I would recommend staying in the yurt to anyone traveling to Acadia and hope to make it back some day when our son is older. Such a great experience and family trip!
