Matt goes beyond expectations to provide what guests might need during their stay, unlike most VRBO properties. His generosity to his guests does not go unnoticed , and should be emphasized if you are considering this property. The location is about 35 minutes from the Gardiner entrance to Yellowstone. It will be hard for us to put into words how happy we were staying at the Lion's Ledge. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is 100 times better than we thought it would be. The moment we walked in through the door we were in awe. Everything was bigger, everything was nicer, everything was better than we could have ever imagined. The house was immaculately clean and organized. The kitchen had all the luxuries and amenities you could dream of. It was extremely well stocked with beautiful dishware and cookware. It had everything we would ever need. You name it, it was in this kitchen. Diane even bought us an electric tea kettle because we had asked if there was a tea kettle. The great room is huge with extremely comfortable furniture, a big tv, and dining room tables. We all could have just stayed in this room alone and been very comfortable. The master bedrooms were gorgeous. We had the room with the Posturepedic king sized bed, walk in closet and a huge bathroom with our own washer and dryer. It had direct access through patio doors to a beautiful deck with a great view. We couldn't have been happier. The rest of our family took the other beautiful main floor master and the two upstairs bedrooms. Everyone was more than happy with the room they had. Every bedroom was perfect. There was even another nice bedroom downstairs that we didn't end up using. This place is huge. The game room is great with the pool table and ping pong table, games for the kids and a great dvd selection for the tv. There was plenty of comfortable outdoor seating on multiple sides of the house. The walk down to the deck over the creek was a great bonus that we enjoyed multiple times. We were visited by deer on a few days and drove down the road on multiple mornings to see at least 25 grizzly and black bears in the fields. That was one of the best things about our trip. Perfectly located for Yellowstone National Park. We made multiple trips and saw Elk, Bison, Coyotes, Badgers, Pronghorn, Magpies and Moose. This was nothing short of our dream vacation in our dream home. Diane was a fantastic host. She met us shortly after we arrived and gave us a quick review of the house. From the second I booked the place to the day we left she was available within minutes if we had any questions. Her knowledge of the area was extremely helpful, and she made several suggestions that made our trip better than it would have been. BEST VACATION EVER! Thank you, Diane!!!

Great location and house was spectacular

This was the absolute perfect place. Inside and out! The comfortable sitting areas, the huge picture windows and the giant bedrooms made for time together and plenty of room for time apart. The kitchen was perfectly supplied, including every spice, plus all the basics and more, and even sharp knives. The grocery store in Emigrant has everything, so no need to stock up before that. The back porch accommodated our large group for evening chats. A second fridge in the wet bar area held our drinks. The proximity to Yellowstone made for easy travel, and getting up early paid off in seeing wolves and grizzlies in the park. This is THE place. Quiet. Huge. Comfortable. Gorgeous.

From the moment we arrived we were in heaven! Matt was the most amazing, attentive and accommodating host - even met us when we checked in to give a tour, complete with suggestions and hints for the property! This cabin will absolutely blow your mind, the listing photos DO NOT do it justice. We loved every inch of the place, especially the kitchen/grill/etc as we are all foodies and this was an important amenity. There were only 7 of us this time but the place could have easily fit twice as many…WiFi was adequate, we barely used the giant TV or the downstairs game room - being able to just be together and enjoy the massive space and fellowship was priceless! Easy access from Bozeman and great proximity to Yellowstone NP. We could have stayed exclusively at cabin with enough provisions and been content to simply hike the property, enjoy sunsets from the back deck or lounge on the many comfy seats inside! Read the guest book while there for more great ideas, listen to the locals esp Matt for best spots to see wildlife and always take along some bear spray!! And so many hummingbirds, close enough to touch, another nice touch!!!!! We are already planning our next visit to this home away from home…best moment was on our last night watching that black bear meander through the back yard, wow! Can’t thank you enough for the most incredible stay of all time!!!

Only 20 minutes from Yellowstone it was very convenient. The guys were able to fish just a short way down from the house. We enjoyed watching the dozens of hummingbirds outside the windows on the feeders. We didn’t see any wildlife but perhaps we werent there at the correct time of day but we saw plenty in the park! The only things I would suggest adding would be a clothes basket or two and more towels and washcloths. 10 out of 10 for sure!

Beautiful place! Immaculately cleaned! We were a family and friend group ages 14-50 and all agreed, this house was perfect! Explored Yellowstone daily but couldn’t wait to return to our house each day. Matt was extremely helpful and friendly. Lots of animal sightings from the picturesque windows and deck on the house. We will return:)

Property was extremely clean and cozy with everything we needed. Deer came up to the window the first evening we arrived. We enjoyed driving to nearby Gardiner to access Yellowstone and walk the shops and to Emigrant to eat. Everything is about 20 minutes from the house. Don't second guess staying at this property, its perfect.

It was the perfect place to get take it all in and spend peaceful quality time with the family. Between the mountains views and the sounds of the creek, I really did not want or have to go inside. But, once you step inside, you have an incredible living-like-a-royalty Great Room with fantastic & comfortable furniture. The Bedrooms were also incredibly spacious and comfortable. It really had everything our family would ever want or need...(plus inside you still have great mountain view points, the majestic sounds of the Tom Miner creek, as well as hummingbirds at almost every window). The Lion's Ledge is exceptionally well maintained, clean, and perfect for the Montana experience, we absolutely enjoyed every thing about the place. We all decided that it was a dream home type of property...layout was perfect for the adults and kids to make many memories. I can't thank Matt enough for all of his suggestions and help throughout the week. It was over & beyond. Looking forward to potentially meeting Diane the next time!

Our expectations were high but this house in this location combined with Matt's hospitality and attention to detail made it the best trip and we all promise to return in the future. The animals we saw on our first night were amazing. The view of the mountains from bed will never be forgotten. The pictures in the listing don't do it justice. Matt was a great host.

Diane was a wonderful host sharing information about the area, property and even provided us with binoculars to watch the bears come down and play in the fields. Diane was the sweetest host! The cabin is gorgeous and the views leave you speechless! Can’t say enough great things about this property, it is it’s own piece of heaven and we were lucky to be able to experience it!

My husband and I were overjoyed with our three night stay at Lion's Ledge; we only wish we could've stayed longer! I'll admit, I'm hesitant to rave about the place because we want to keep it all to ourselves! However, since other people were so generous with their reviews to help us find this gem of a spot, we'll divulge that it was exactly the location we envisioned for our first trip to Montana and Yellowstone National Park. You're close enough to the North Entrance of Yellowstone while still being far enough away to enjoy your stay in rural Montana. Immediately upon arrival, super knowledgeable and friendly property owner Diane greeted us and gave us a thorough review of the property. She also showed us how to use bear spray (for two true city folks who had never once used bear spray, it made us feel much more confident about trekking around bear country!). Lion's Ledge was roomy, spotless and beautiful! You can hear the peaceful creek from the front porch and the stargazing at night is absolutely breathtaking (you'll have no problem spotting constellations, planets, shooting stars, and meteors!). And if you're interested in seeing wildlife, look no further than Lion's Ledge where you might spot a mountain lion, or more accurately, have a mountain lion spot you! The horses across the road were enthralling to watch, as were the family of deer who greeted us one evening. If you're interested in seeing grizzly bears, elk, deer, and even moose, ask Diane for directions on where to safely see them from a safe distance. All of the amenities were top-notch--everything from the pantry items, linens, toiletries and house finishes were carefully thought out. We were sad to leave the property and bid Diane farewell, but look forward to coming back for a longer stay!

Wow! What a wonderful property to stay at while visiting Yellowstone. It is as described in the listing but so much more. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay. From the spacious living/dining/ kitchen area to the roomy bedroom and huge bathroom with walk-in shower, we immediately felt at home. Everything we needed from shampoo to condiments was provided by the personable property owner, Diane, who was always available to answer any questions we had. You will not regret making reservations at this beautiful location in rural Montana.

The property was beautiful and very well cared for. It is a great location as it is just about a 30 min drive to the North Yellowstone entrance and depending on the time of the year that you go, even some things that you can do just right down the road from the cabin. We had a great time exploring and then coming home to this cabin that had the essentials that we needed to rest and relax with great views!

Lion's Ledge was one of the most amazing places I have ever stayed. The home and amenities were Fantastic and the Owner was so personable and fun to visit with the time she stopped by to see how we were doing. Diane is such a nice lady and knowledgeable of the area as well. We even managed to see a Grizzly in a meadow a bit down the road. All and all a Very nice experience !! Thanks Diane!
