Lovely welcome from Jill. Cosy room with balcony so that you could have the sliding door open for ventilation especially overnight as it was a warm summer night.

The list of amenities mentioned there was an EV charger available but there was no mention of a charge of $10 for 24 hour which although not a significant cost should be stated. There are other places that are destination chargers that allow EV charging without requesting a separate payment. Also by stating there is an EV charger, a few travellers might assume it is a fast charger and if turning up with very little mileage left in their EV might find that they are not able to charge quickly for onward travel as the charger is just from a power point in the garage so is slow. Trains from a nearby railway line are audible enough to wake travelers early at 5.30.

Very comfortable room with every need met. Lovely to have some outside space too. Hosts very nice and happy to recommend local restaurants

Jill and Tom were lovely, very generous in the use of their house and then helped us sort alternative trips when our overnight stay on Kapiti was cancelled. The rooms are luxurious, the bathroom fantastic and a great balcony for evening sun. The bedroom(s) isn't huge but there are 2 and a landing area for putting suitcases etc on that you get exclusive use of.

I would have liked an effective reading light above or beside the bed and the facility to make a hot drink on the same floor. Also an option of lighter bedding as it was quite hot.

Spotless clean, amazing bathroom, warm and spacious room, very kind hosts and perfect position

No shower walls, was a bit messy, but the bathroom was so comfortable, big and clean that it was no problem for us. The room is part of the owner's house, and you share the entrance and kitchen, which for us was absolutely no problem at all, but we figured that for somebody it could lack a bit of privacy.
