The Lake Escape Cottage: Encantadora casa de campo en el corazón de la comunidad turística de Geneva on the Lake. We loved staying here. Being right on the strip AND having private beach access was amazing. Plus the home was very reasonably priced compared to other places in the area. If I book a trip to Geneva on the Lake again, this house will be the first one I look at.

The cottage has room for several people to stay comfortably. The location is great to be able to walk to arcades, shops and restaurants.
Grandparents, parents and grandchildren had a great time.

Property was perfectly located near the middle of the strip. Had very nice outdoor padio space out back that wasnt shown in images. Property also appears to be recently updated which was a very pleasant suprise. Overall a very nice property and perfect for a family trip

The property had room for all of us. I liked the openness of the main level. Having 2 full bathrooms was definately a plus for our large group. The back patio was a favorite spot for us to sit outside. The shower upstairs had great water pressure and we had plenty of hot water for showers. On the negative side, it was a bit strange not having blinds or curtains on the front window. Made me a little uncomfortable at night. People walking by could see in.

There wasn’t two sofas or an air hockey table as shown in the photos.
There isn’t a dishwasher, which is fine, but a drying rack would have been helpful.
Be sure to bring bath and kitchen towels. The owners messaged me about that but we were already on our way, but were able to just use our beach towels…

Our group of 10 had a lovely stay with most of our activities within walking distance and easy access to the lake. The house had plenty of seating, and we really enjoyed an evening in the backyard. I didn't communicate with Michelle much, but she was very friendly!
A few things that would have been helpful to know ahead of time:
- We loved walking to the lake out back, but the "beach" is very small and rocky. Not the kind of area you'd want to lay out on a towel. Thankfully we found Breakwater Beach about 10 minutes away.
- The house was a little low on supplies, especially for a group of 10
- We brought shower towels, but we didn't realize we needed kitchen towels until we were in the car on the way there (thankfully Michelle sent an email so we could pick some up, but we would have packed them if that was listed on the website!)
Overall, I would recommend this house, but I'm definitely a planner and didn't feel quite prepared for the trip.

The location to the beach and the strip was amazing! Overall very well appointed with nice touches like tons of hooks for towels in the bathroom and everything we needed in the kitchen. Bedrooms were good sized and it was nice to have fans in every room. Living space was large and it was great to have table seating for everyone.

Great location! We had 10 guests & this house was perfect for us. Simple but had everything you need.
If you are going to do a lot of cooking for a large group you may want to take an extra pot, skillet & spices.

The property was clean and well maintained. The check in process was difficult due to some technical issue with the vrbo app. It would have been helpful if the property owner had reached out to let us know. The location is great if you want to be in the middle of the action. A very short walk to enjoy the lake view. Overall a very good stay and would stay again and recommend to others.

Property is quaint and campy. Upstairs shower is only for shorter people but glad to have bathroom upstairs. Mattresses are a little lumpy but place was still perfect for 8 of us to spend family time together

A True Quaint and Cozy Cottage
My husband and 5 adult children had a wonderful long weekend at Lake Escape. The cottage is a beautifully decorated, very clean and fully equip. with items for every age. You can relax on the screened in porch with coffee and a book or play games with the kids. The large dining area accommodated all of us for dinner and game night.
Located right at the center of the strip with a short walk to the lake, restaurants, shops, arcades, firehouse winery & bars and putt-putt, this cottage will not disappoint. We will definitely be back!

Really enjoyed this quaint cottage in perfect location. Felt like we were back in the 50’s. Spacious and clean with everything we needed to spend a few days visiting local winerys. Such fun! Thank you!

Clean and convenient
The cottage is furnished so conveniently. Everything you might need is there. We were told in advance to take our own towels and everything else was there. The location is a short walk to the lake. Like almost every other location in GOTL, getting down to the water is a challenge; but can be accomplished if you are surefooted. We loved the proximity to the strip for snacks and meals. We love going to Sandy's for seafood. It is an unexpected pleasure.

High speed internet so you can work. You have to bring your own towels, dish towels and hot pads. Great place to stay! Got tons of work done. May stay there again in the summer!
