The Stowell House was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Paso Robles! We had 4 adult couples staying for an extended weekend and loved our VRBO choice. After visiting wineries during the day, we were able to come home and walk to/from dinner every evening. The yard was spacious and had ample seating to enjoy in the afternoon/early evening. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms available for all 8 adults. Would definitely choose this house to stay at again.

Group of friends stayed here Fri - Sun for a wedding. It was the best decision and added so much fun to our trip! The historic house was such an added bonus, the brave ones went for a dip in the pool (in October), & plenty of room for everyone. We all enjoyed breakfast & dinner together, and couldn’t say enough about the house! Loved the history & the fact that we made memories in it to add to the 100+ years of people enjoying it. Thank you so much for the stay, I highly recommend!

Enjoyed our stay at Stowell House. The house has old school charm but pleasant updates. It is very close to the center of town and it is very walkable from there. It is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with plenty of street parking. Please be aware all of the bedrooms in the main house are up a fairly steep set of stairs, so anyone with mobility issues should consider this. Would definitely stay again.

My two sisters, their spouses and our adult children all stayed here together. The house was perfect for our group and we had a wonderful time. We cooked breakfast and lunch there and had dinners out. The walk to downtown was faster than driving and finding parking.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were all comfortable. The house is historical and has its quirks, but nothing you wouldn't expect. Well, except one thing. A lot of the windows do not open. Enough open to get a good cross breeze and cool the house down (there's AC, I just prefer fresh air), but the windows in the bathrooms did not open. Perhaps packing a bottle of poo-pouri should be on the checklist. ;)
All in all - we had a wonderful family trip and would definitely choose this house again.

Such a quaint, functional space that worked great for our family vacation. Loved how the pool area was mostly shaded and the bathrooms are all beautifully renovated. The only downside was the early check out time (10am). We didn’t want to leave!

This historic home was absolutely perfect for our college sorority reunion! There are so many fun little places to sit and talk and the house had great amenities. We definitely plan to book this house again next year!

Us ladies really enjoyed the house, it was just too bad the weather didn't cooperate so we could use the pool. Very close to downtown which we walked to for shopping, go to happy hour & dinner, Farmers Mkt. and just general walking.
House was well appointed, comfortable & in a quiet neighborhood (with deer running around across the street). Easy to navigate getting to the 101 freeway and to most wineries.
We'll be back!!!

We were five couples that stayed for a Saturday beer festival in Paso and had the best time. The house is located right in the heart of downtown, so walking to food and drinks on Friday was a breeze, and after the beer festival we got to enjoy the amazing backyard and pool. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to reply with any questions we had. We will definitely be renting here again for future Paso Robles trips.

This house was perfect for our 8 family members. We loved the space and it had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time together. The close proximity to downtown was a must have for us and it was easily walked for our 60+ year old aunts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful historic home with us.

Very good experience renting this old, quant Victorian home. Plenty of room for 9 of us. Great location to downtown Paso Robles. Owner was very responsive when our coffee maker didn’t work and it was replaced immediately. I recommend this home and would stay hear again.

This is a great house in a fun location. We had 5 adults and 5 children who spent new year's eve in paso. Its easy to downtown, wine country and the sensorio lights. I worked perfectly for us.

Stowell House was everything we needed, wanted, and more. The house is beautiful and so carefully laid out. While we were ten people from two families, we never felt cramped. In addition to the property essentially having two houses with the pool house bedroom, the shared spaces in the main house are wonderfully separated so that you can have various groups of people outside, on the porch, inside in several places, allowing people to be together or alone when they needed to be. Four generous, working, well apportioned bathrooms (we were all in town for a wedding). In addition to the usual things you'd expect when renting through VRBO, the owners left us detailed instructions - all accurate, a bottle of Paso Robles wine, coffee and filters to get us started (thank you!!!), extra supplies of everything (towels, detergent, soaps, TP, etc.). And nice house karma...warm, gracious...perfect. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

A group of 10 of us were in town for a wedding. This house was perfect for us all. Plenty of room and bathrooms. Great outdoor seating area and close to town. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Amazing property that is perfect for a large family getaway. Beautiful king bed master bedroom with ensuite bath, and 3 other comfortable bedrooms and bath upstairs. Large and roomy guest house out back that opens onto a wonderfully crisp, cold pool (great to break the Paso heat of summer.) Lovely yard with umbrella covered patio tables. Large formal dining room that comfortably seats 8 adults right off a well stocked kitchen. We used all these areas and had a great time! I saw in an old post something about flat pillows, but this was not the case. The pillows and all the bedding was downy and soft. My whole family (party of 8: 3 couples, 2 singles) has come for the Tobin James festival in the past and stayed at a hotel, but this year we found this place and it made the weekend together much more together and that much lovelier. A truly great stay for a large family getaway!

Charming, spacious and unique house in a great location
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The pool house bathroom could have been cleaner but overall the house was clean and had all the amenities we needed.
We do wish there were better and more pillows provided. This house had cheap “pancake” pillows. They should invest in hotel quality pillows.

This is a wonderful property. Unfortunately, the pool isn’t heated & even though the daytime temps were warm, it was too cool to swim. This house is Perfect for adults, but the stairs are steep, so care was definitely needed for our littles. There’s plenty of space, bathrooms are updated, beds we’re comfortable & the outdoor space was really nice to have. It was extremely walkable to the park, shops & restaurants. We had a wonderful stay & would book again!

This house is Perfect for adults, but the stairs are steep, so care was definitely needed for our littles. We stayed here with our adult kids, their significant others and my parents. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and lots of space for everyone. The location is super close to town so you can walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. The guest house was perfect for my parents because then they didn't have to walk up the stairs in the house which were very steep. We along with our adult kids and their significant others handled the stairs with no problem:) When we had a couple questions, the property management answered the phone and were very helpful. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!!!

Charming & Wonderful home.
Our stay was absolutely perfect in this beautiful home! We had 10 guest and it fit perfectly for all of us. It's just a 5 minute walk to downtown, restaurants and to a beautiful park! We are looking forward to staying again next year. 🥰

The house worked very well for our group. However, there was a problem with the heat, with Thanksgiving we weren’t able to get it fixed until Friday, but Casey was on top of the situation and got it fixed as soon as possible. The house needs some TLC, kitchen cabinets need updating, carpets were very stained and the covered pool was not pleasant to look at. The new bathrooms were very nice. We had a wonderful time and would consider staying here again.

The house worked very well for our group. Great house in Paso Robles
Our group had a great time here for the weekend. Heating works well and the house is centrally located so we were able to walk downtown and drive to the wineries. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook which was a pleasant surprise.

The ghost Cecelia - we had the best time Stonwell house for my 40th - such a beautiful house! Walking distance to everything and 15 min to all the wineries. The neighbors were awesome and we sweet!!! Loved everything about this weekend!!! Only think negative is wish the pool/spa was clean.
