This property was perfect for visiting all parts of Acadia. Close to Bar Harbor and even closer to Southwest restaurants. Easy to get to on apple maps but google maps takea you to wr g end of the street. House is fullystocked with sheets, towels, kitchen and washer and dryer. Great memories. Thanks Jen!

Our family of eight thoroughly enjoyed our time on MDI. The house was not at all modernized but was adequate for our needs.

The house were perfect for housing our family for a wedding near by. Clean. Well organized. Excellent information about the Island. Personal home.

My family of 6 enjoyed our stay at this property so much. The location was close to everything so it made a perfect home base. There is so much to do in the Bar Harbor area that we really didn't spend a ton of time at the house during the day. When we were there however we enjoyed having lunch on the deck, working on a puzzle on their huge dining room table or cooking in the well equipped kitchen. If you are looking for an ultra modern and up to date home, this is not for you. It is cozy and charming and more than adequate for a large family. I have travelled extensively and rented many homes. I was shocked at how well stocked the house was. I didn't need to buy anything extra. Soaps, towels, paper products, spices, air freshener. Basically, anything you needed they had. It was so nice. I have also never had an easier check in. The house was safe and clean and the entire rental was super easy! The internet was also excellent. This was surprising after reading reviews on Mr. Desert internet. Because the wifi was so good, we were also able to hook up our Roku stick and stream our favorite channels with ease. I would highly recommend this property.

Beechwood is perfectly located—15 min to Bar Harbor and 15 min to Bass Harbor. We liked being on the “quiet side” of the island easy access to Acadia house is a home, with all the amenities we needed, including extra towels for our Echo ledges adventure.

Love this house. It is a excellent one to stay at Acadia National Park.

This property was fantastic! From communication before and during to location! The house was very homey and in a quiet location (my dad even brought a hammock and slept outside). The house was completely stocked with everything needed. Everything worked great and felt like being at home. We enjoyed the family time and made great memories here! Would recommend it to anyone!

Our home/property was absolutely WONDERFUL! It is exceptionally clean, well-stocked with personal care supplies, convenient showers and bathrooms, and laundry room! Everything about our home made our stay tremendously pleasant and enhanced our first time exploring Maine! I would HIGHLY recommend this home for anyone coming to Maine and the Bar Harbor area! We hope to return some day!!!!!

There were a lot of things we loved about the property - the space, the yard, the cleanliness, the welcome letter, the abundance of board games, etc. We also greatly appreciate how nice the house heats as we came at a time when it was turning cold on the island. Overall we had a great time staying at Beechwood and it was obvious the owners took great care of the property. I just want to also bring attention to a couple small things that I wish I was better prepared for. The technology was sometimes frustrating. The wifi was advertised as “high speed,” but our experience was not the case. Perhaps we are just very spoiled by our own FiOS connection, but we could hardly do many basic tasks (sending emails, etc.) while in the house because the wifi was bad and there’s no reception for cell phones either. When we could get online, the connection is not fast. The landline wasn't working great for me either. The lack of cell reception meant that I had to rely on the landline to make a few calls, but the connection dropped every time after a certain time. I don't know what causes landlines to fail (we don't use landlines at all) but I did have to finish my calls on the drive out to our activities instead of having things sorted out before we left. I totally understand most people come to MDI to relax and turn the world off, but I would’ve preferred to keep my communications open and have Netflix, especially since there's nothing to do after sundown and we don't go to sleep until midnight. The TV would've been a good alternative at times but we were also used to a much bigger screen to look at with the distance from the TV to the couch. Another thing is that the furnishings are all charming but old school. The bedding were flannel and quilted blanket (so were the placemats), which some might very much enjoy, but not exactly what we are used to. The pillows were also at a weird height for us (the classic one too low two too high situation). Again we might have been too pampered with down duvet and Brooklinen sheets so we could be a little too critical when it comes to sleep comfort. Other than those minor issues, we loved our stay. We've been to Acadia many times now and Beechwood was the most beautiful place we've stayed at.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Labor Day Weekend. The house was clean, well-stocked and comfortable for my family. We had every appliance imaginable for cooking meals. The view on the deck overlooking the marsh was spectacular! Highly recommend this rental!

The house is plenty big enough with a great side porch. The location is great, not far from anything we did. We had 7 adults & an Australian Shepherd for the week & we all enjoyed the accommodations. Fully stocked baths & kitchens. Comfy beds. I would recommend Beechwood for anyone who is visiting the Island.

This house was stocked with everything you might need on vacation! And the location was great as well. We loved the back yard and watching for wildlife. We got to see a raccoon! We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin is in a beautiful location overlooking a mature swamp with lush vegetation. Bird life is abundant and can be viewed from the back deck. The exterior and interior of the cabin were in excellent shape and reflected the care of the owners. The interior was spacious and well maintained also. We particularly liked the great room which allowed a good view of the natural swamp area. The kitchen is a bit small but served its purpose. We were surprised that the interior decorations reflected the 1980's and not the current era. Obviously, that was the intention of the owners. The interior of the cabin was clean and prepared to welcome residents.

We were so lucky to come across Mountain Sea Properties and the property Beechwood. We were out of electricity (for days!) and Jen had Beechwood open for our use. We were able to move in, get warm, catch up on laundry, cook meals, and finally feel at home, even though it was a home away from home. What a respite! The house was super clean, beds made, and towels laid out! Everything was there you could ever need including local guide sheets/maps, dishes, games, and books. The location on the island is perfect- 15 min from the bustle of Bar Harbor and 10 min from the quaint South West Harbor. The House was super cozy, yet roomy enough for our family, and could have easily accommodated more. Jen was amazing to get us in on such a strange schedule and was so amenable, warm, and the perfect host- there when needed, but left us alone when we were doing our own thing. She even came by to check on the hot water heater right before bedtime when we had troubles getting hot showers (a minor problem because of the generator use). All was fixed in no time! I wish we could have been able to stay for longer, and extend the staycation to enjoy all of which Mountain Sea Properties has to offer, so many extras available like- guided hikes, grocery delivery, and full luxe packages! Jen is so organized and useful, a true gem of the island. We were thrilled to utilize Mountain Sea Properties and hope to take advantage of their incredible properties again in the future. We highly recommend them without hesitation!

Our group consisted of 4 couples. We came for Oktoberfest in Southwest Harbor and to enjoy the fall colors in Acadia. The accommodations were perfect for our group. The owners thought of every little detail - from the kitchen being well-equipped to having extra paper goods and towels easily accessible. The property is very clean and well-maintained. We had a fantastic trip and would highly recommend staying at Beechwood. We have stayed at several other home rentals before and this experience by far was the best.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our family of 8 couples and a baby . Lovely large living dining area for baby to crawl and everyone to enjoy. Back deck overlooked secluded meadow and forest with trees just showing fall colours . Great for bbq's on 3 of our nights . Well appointed kitchen . Nice touches in bathrooms with quality shampoo and conditioner and make up removal wipes .Very centrally located just a short ride to all sights and some good restaurants Highly recommended .

We stayed here for my mom's 70th birthday trip to Acadia. It was a good size house for 6 of us plus a toddler. Kitchen had all the supplies you needed to make breakfast/ dinner. Jen was great at communicating and answering our questions.

This is a lovely home with more than enough room for a family big or small! The setting was just far enough off the main road to be peaceful. The home is close enough to attractions such as the lovely farm stand, Beech hill hiking trails and Echo Lake.The house was "move in ready" and we didn't have to bring anything (not even shampoo!) Our windshield was dirty from the long ride up north and there was glass cleaner in the fully stocked cleaning closet. Having the option to do laundry was a convenient as well. The deck was a great place to have morning coffee, grill dinner and hang out. We even had loons in the brook a couple of mornings! To top it all off, the frosty mugs we found all ready in the freezer made our day! My husband, daughter and even our dog are looking forward to out next stay already!

Our family get together was awesome here at Beechwood. Everyone had their own room, plenty of space, bathrooms, great deck with a wonderful green view. The house was spacious, very clean, nice extra touches, everything we needed was there. The location was an easy drive to the park, Bar Harbor, SW harbor, grocery store, etc. What a special surprise find on the same road as the house to go to the casual Maine Granite Museum. Steven gives a great informal & fun talk about Mt Desert Island, the ice age, the formation of the island & different rocks of the island. Our family now has wonderful memories of our vacation together, starting at the Beechwood house. Would definitely go back The Browns

The home was great, with the exception of the beds being too hard for each adult in our family. However, bed firmness is subjective. Enjoyed the deck a great deal, as well as the grill. We utilized the grocery service Mountain Sea Properties offered and we're very happy we did. Worth every penny! A visit to Beal's Lobster Pier is a must! Thanks to Jen at Mountain Sea Properties for the recommendation.

Great space for a large group. We were two families of 4 visiting MDI for a wedding in Northeast Harbor. The house did not feel crowded at all. It's very spacious. Nice kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The house is clean, bright, has a nice view from the living room/dining room. The location was great. It's easy to get to Northeast Harbor, Southwest Harbor and Bar Harbor. Also near some nice hiking trails and Echo Lake. Great location, would definitely stay here again.
