Sobre este estancia en una granjaalquiler
Bienvenido a Casa Paraiso.
Pensarás que has muerto y te has ido al cielo.

You can tell that the Vargases are a family and that La Finca Paraiso Cheese Farm is a working farm. They're happy to give you any advice you need, and they spend the day working on the property. The farm tour was great! You get to feed a calf from the bottle, feed the piggie his greens, milk a cow and learn about the history of the farm, including the family's transition to pesticide-free farming. And there are killer sunsets.

This is a stunningly beautiful place and you couldnt ask for sweeter hosts. The house has everything we needed (though there are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, not 4 beds and 2 baths as listed). We so appreciated being able to wash clothes and everything dried on the line.
We joined Orlando and Carolina for a tour of the farm to meet the animals. My kids loved feeding the calves and the goats and trying their hand at milking. Making cheese and tortillas with Carolina was a delight. Orlando shared so much about how the farm works and how it has evolved over the generations to adapt to different farming practices that are in harmony with the ecosystem and are having to change with clinate change.
We had one meal there (breakfast), which was wonderful. They serve amazing coffee produced by a family friend whose farm isn't far away; we brought some home. They have a selection of lovely souvenirs, including paintings by their cousin, which my kids loved.
We loved this spot as our base in Monteverde. The change of pace from staying in cities and towns was energizing. Highly recommend!

In the Farm
Our grandson loves animals do a farm stay was the perfect opportunity for him. Orlando was wonderful as he took us on a tour- milking a cow, bottle feeding a calf and goat as well as the pig and chickens. All this was enhance by having the chance to make fresh chance and tortillas with his mother.
A beautiful location, great views and sunset, and close to Monteverde (zip lining).

Our stay at the Finca Paraiso was excellent. Orlando and his family took good care of us, giving us a farm tour and cooking us dinner. They are doing a wonderful job converting their farm to an organic one, and we had such a great time milking their cows, feeding baby animals, and making cheese from fresh milk.
The home itself is very clean and tidy, and has everything you need. We highly recommend this stay!

Great stay at Finca El Paraiso!
My wife and I and two small children had the pleasure of staying at this lovely farm stay. The house was spacious and clean, the food at Yolanda's kitchen was very tasty, and the vistas were incredible. Would definitely recommend!

Exactly what we wanted!
We were two couples who stayed for 2 nights. We wanted a more authentic view of Costa Rican living. The property is beautiful, with views that are unbeatable.
We took advantage of having the family prepare breakfasts and dinners and they were delicious.
Please come with the expectation that this is a farm house and not a resort and you will not be disappointed!

We arrived at this location in hopes of a relaxing and rustic experience. We had to go and find the owners each and every time we needed something as they were never outside. The owners did not speak English, but the children did briefly. We quickly found out there was no hot water. After speaking to the children of the property owners, they came to the house and said it was fixed but would only be slightly warmer then room temperature. That was not the case. We had to shower in cold water as well as wash dishes in cold water. We would open the windows during the day to allow airflow and to cool the house, but by 5:00, we had to shut everything because the bugs were terrible. The entire house felt damp and musty. All 3 beds smelt very musty and no sheets fit the mattresses. The internet was very unpredictable as well. There were dead bugs all over the floors. We ended up leaving 1 day early.

Loved It!
We loved the house, the views, family, night hike and delicious food. It was so wonderful to come back after a busy day to sit around the table with the owners eating a delicious meal cooked by Yolanda. Such a warm hospitable family. Her homemade cheese was so good!

This is a wonderful out of way place. BThe farm is overlooking a beautiful valley.
Orlando and his family are as sweet and accommodating as any hosts we have ever met. The apartment was clean, with a fully equipped kitchen. The drive to Santa Elena was about 20 minutes. We loved our time on the farm, and would happily stay there again.

Best place for our family
We had a wonderful time at casa paraiso! Our toddlers loved being able to run around and play with Zorro, the dog. We ate breakfast and dinner at Yolanda's restaurant. She is a delight and the food was delicious! There was plenty of space in the house for us and the area was clean and comfortable. Orlando gave us a great tour of his family's farm and it was a pleasure to get to know him better. The setting was absolutely beautiful, especially at sunset. The location was convenient. Highly recommend!!

Lovely house with all we needed in the kitchen. Beautiful views and the family was very welcoming!
Loved our 4 nights at the farm. The farm tour is a 'must do'. Orlando Jr was a great guide and generous with sharing a bit about his family's life and their great efforts to offer activities and accommodations for travellers. The 3 bedroom house was simple and perfect. There is also a beautiful new cabin on the property. Orlando's mom is also now offering a bread making class and we met a couple who took it and loved it.
The location was great. 8 minute drive up Santa Elena.

Farm Life and Tranquility
Our family (my husband and our 2 teenage kids) spent a few days here on our trip through Central American. We loved every minute of it! Orlando is very helpful in recommendations and teaching us about the families farm and Yolanda was a true pleasure to cook with. Sharing meals together was a highlight! We highly recommend a visit to this wonderful family farm!

Tip Top
