The Villa is in a small gathering of old stone houses. The view from all rooms goes to the sea. When you lie in bed you can hear the sea and you see the son or moon. There is a small terrace where you can enjoy the meals you cook in the small kitchen. There is enough space for four persons to stay even if it is raining. If you want to buy bread or other things the footwalk to the town is about 5 minutes.

A disadvantage is that you have to carry your luggage to the house down- or uphill - which can be really strenuous if you stay longer. So don't take a trolley, use bags instead - otherwise the wheels will be wrecked on the stone way. BUT This is also an advantage because there are no cars anyway near the house(s). The mattresses were too soft for us, but that is a subjective feeling. Some people like to lie soft. There is very little in the kitchen. So if you like to cook, you should take a good knife and even a pan or other utensils.

The house itself and the location are very special. Quiet with beautiful views of sea and a characterful atmosphere. Garden furniture including loungers were a bonus and added to a relaxing stay.

Booking.com do not made it clear on their site information that the only access to this property is via a steep ancient rocky track which is a challenging 10-15 minute walk. The property is totally inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues or who has difficulty walking. Everything has to be taken by hand to the property which includes your luggage and shopping. Getting into the house was a real challenge. We received a series of confusing WhatsApp's messages from the agent on the day of arrival. We were told to collect the keys from a restaurant. When we requested it the agent then agreed to have the keys left in the house. We were given two ways to access the house without proper instructions. The route we were told to go to on arrival turned out to be the steepest and most difficult track to navigate with luggage. We were not told to access the house from the lower track nearer to the town which is more direct. Parking is a major issue. There are no parking facilities for the property. You have to park on a public road on a white line. You'll find no parking available nearby if you arrive on a Saturday in high season. There's a pay public car park fairly near if you can get in which we were not told about. However, it's restricted hours. We had realised that parking might be an issue so had arranged private parking with the owners via Bookings.com website. On the day of arrival we were told that this request had not been received and there was no parking available. There is no information booklet available in the house to explain the facilities and the local area. There are food shops nearby but they're not obvious and easy to miss. We have never stayed in a property which has no information in it. Before we arrived we were sent a confusing email asking us to provide scans of our passports.

Loved this place. Amazing view and location, and Varigotti is perfect place for beach holiday. House is very charming and has all you need. Lots of value for money and this view!! Will love to come back. The walk to the house is steep and you will have to carry your luggage some of the way. But it is all worth it - location and view.
