We had a great vacation at this home. It was clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. John was very responsive and helpful. The pool, hot tub, boat dock, and kayaks gave us plenty of fun summer things to do! We highly recommend it!!

My stay at the rental vacation house was incredible. The house boasted a beautiful water view and a refreshing pool. The owner was friendly, helpful, and easily reachable. The house was well-maintained, offering a comfortable and stylish retreat. It provided all the modern amenities needed for a convenient stay. The location provided a serene and picturesque setting, allowing for a relaxing and peaceful escape. I highly recommend this rental vacation house.

Arrived on a Friday to relax and enjoy all the amenities before my daughter's wedding on Sunday at a nearby country club. The house exceeded all expectations! Would highly recommend it.

Our family enjoyed the spacious, waterfront accommodations while we were in town for a wedding. We were grateful to be together in a home vs. hotel rooms. The home and pool were very comfortable and well appointed.

My husband and I stayed here with our bridal/groom party during the week of our wedding. Our wedding was on Kent Island (~5 min drive away) on a Friday and this was the perfect place to stay to have some fun and relax in the days leading up to and for the weekend after the wedding. John was an excellent and accommodating host. He was great at communicating with us beforehand (we booked about 9 months in advance), as the date drew closer, and then during wedding week. He made sure we had all of our questions answered and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. He encouraged us to take advantage of the property to have fun and also on the day-of (we came back to the house for a few photos after our ceremony and before our reception). The guest house was spotless when we arrived, spacious, and comfortable. We loved having access to a large outdoor space with various activities as options (lawn games, swimming, grill out, listen to music, kayak, paddleboard, fishing). It made for an amazing week.

The property was great. Very comfortable and clean. Lots to do and the grounds were very well kept. Great for small kids as well.

You won’t be disappointed – the property is in an excellent state of repair and has everything you could possibly need. The hot tub and pool were greatly enjoyed by all. Loads of glasses, cups, plates, bowls etc and every utensil you could think of. John was quick to respond to questions leading up to our arrival and was keen to ensure we were having a good time and making sure everything was OK. We had such a wonderful stay here. Such a serene, beautiful setting. Loved feeling away from it all, but close enough to go do things. The owner was so friendly and went above and beyond for us! I could have stayed here forever.

As a group of 6 adults and 4 children there wasn’t a lack of things to do. From hanging out on the balcony to swimming in the pool to fishing to kayaking to bonfires, our extended family had a blast! And John was such a gracious host. I can’t recommend this property enough. You won’t be disappointed booking! Thank you John for having us and sharing your beautiful guest house with us.

Great place!

We really enjoyed our stay at John's VRBO. It has a beautiful pool, hot tub, great grilling area and playground for little kids and is on a nice lake. If you have people that are light sleepers or cant sleep in an area that gets light really early be sure they do not sleep in the Loft area. However, the beds were all great and the house was wonderful. There is a stairway to get up into the house. Also the upstairs bathroom is just a normal sink, toilet and tub/shower combined. The master bedroom downstairs has a large bathroom, with nice large shower and a tub. Then there is a power room on the main level that has 2 sinks and a separate toilet which worked well for getting everyone ready. Again loved our stay and hope to return again.

The home was comfortable and well appointed and our family of 10 was able to all stay together. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well as the gorgeous grounds. We were a short 15-20 min drive to Annapolis, but were far enough away to avoid the busy downtown during Commissioning Week. John was helpful and communicative and was extremely helpful.

I read almost all of the reviews on this property and thought wow, could it really be that nice? Well, it is. When our kids were smaller, we took vacations to the beach as they got older, they just wanted to go somewhere quiet, fish and relax. John's place was perfect for us. The listing is very accurate, and John was wonderful to work with and very responsive to my questions. The property is just beautiful and peaceful. Shopping and lots of great restaurants are all very close by. I am quite certain we will visit again!

We have stayed in a lot of houses before, but this one has absolutely blew our minds. Besides the property being like something from a fairy-tale, the owner has got to be the most caring, professional, friendly, and goes above and beyond to make sure that your stay is comfortable from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. We came there for our first look as a couple getting married, and we were shocked in awe. We definitely recommend this place for anyone who truly wants to be treated as if you’re a friend, and not a guest! We would love to book again when the chance arises! This was an incredible property to stay at for a long weekend with the family. John is a great host: communicative, helpful, happy to offer advice on local things to do. My sisters, close friends, and I had a lovely stay!!! The house was clean and had plenty of sleeping space for our large group. John made the check-in/check-out process very smooth, and he was readily available if we had any questions. The view was beautiful, and the location was great to check out local areas and nearby Annapolis.

I will begin with saying the host of the property “John” made us feel at home. Very respectful and courteous. His mansion was spectacular. Clean, specious and well supplied. The whirlpool was divine. The view was amazing. We were surrounded by peace and tranquility. We had the time of our lives. Just wished we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return.

We stayed at this beautiful home as a home base for our son’s wedding at Kent Island Resort this past Friday. The location was perfect, the property was even better than the photos and John was the best host I’ve ever encountered ! Super responsive and made us feel like part of his family. All of his recommendations were spot on. We did a private yoga class with Dragonfly yoga on the top porch on our first morning…highly recommended! The hot tub, heated pool and outdoor kitchen provided all the relaxation and socializing needed the day after the wedding ! Definitely will be back to stay and explore the area just for fun.
