We had a very enjoyable time staying in Mark & Kim’s lovely house. Within walking distance is a coffee shop/wine bar, gift shop, ice cream spot and 3 places for seafood on the wharf. The upper deck of their house has a beautiful view of Round Pond harbour to enjoy over coffee in the mornings and drinks in the late afternoon! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen is stocked to do your own cooking if you wish. Lots of beautiful scenery and activities just a short drive away. We would recommend staying here to our friends and family and would love to come back again in the future. Thank you Mark & Kim for sharing your house with us!

We enjoyed everything about this 1865 home. Just beautifully done. As a couple of quiet seniors, it was the perfect place to cook, read, walk to lobster and ice cream, and go for beautiful walks.

The house was beautiful, fresh, clean and comfortable. The ocean breezes that blew in the windows were cool and refreshing. The screened in porch was a perfect place to relax in the evenings, no mosquitos bothering you! The hosts were exceptionally accommodating to us. We loved our week in Round Pond. There is so much to explore on the peninsula. The house is wonderful. We enjoyed suppers on the screened porch every night and this beautifully kept historic house delivers a true Maine experience. The neighborhood setting is quiet and an easy walk to ice cream, coffee, gifts, and local market. This was a big appeal for us. There are great walks along quiet roads to take from the house. The nearby lupine field is a great place to watch the sunset.

We had a wonderful stay at Mark & Kim's lovely home in Round Pond, ME. The location on Molly's Cove is perfect as it's quiet with water views and a short walk to the village for ice cream, to browse art at a gallery, shop at the general store or have lobster on the pier. The home is comfortable and very tastefully decorated with French, Maine and US Western influences throughout as well as many books, which we loved. Mark and Kim were the consummate hosts, and their property manager Alicia took good care of us. We highly recommend this property.

It's a beautiful old home in a blissfully quiet and serene little pocket of Maine. Lovely collection of books, books, more books and antique knick knacks. There's no direct access to water from the property (I'd thought there was) but we drove 10 minutes to a very nice beach. Loved the French feel of the kitchen and the screened in porch. The weather was not good and would have loved more couch seating for some cozy reading time. Even in the lousy weather though, Maine is enchanting and this was a unique and special house that I won't forget as part of my first visit to this magical place.

Peace and Tranquillity with Lobster Palooza
The home is cozy, very nicely, and tastefully decorated with modern appliances. The first thing I noticed was a wonderful library of books covering a plethora of topics and genres, and no television (YAY!), but with high speed WiFi if you have the urge to see what’s happening beyond the streets of Round Pond. The two bedrooms were very comfortable, with a nice flow of natural air flowing through the skylights and windows, and the beds were very comfortable. I’m still not sure whether it was because of the house, and beds, or the location, but I honestly had the best sleeps at 6 Molly’s Cove Road in Round Pond.

Wonderful getaway
The house is a lovely antique, updated just enough to make it A+ comfortable without compromising its charm. The views are gorgeous. Round Pond is a delightful New England town. Only wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect Maine Getaway
Charming property. We so enjoyed relaxing on the porches, taking in the unique decor of the house, walking to the coffee shop and lupine field, and looking out at the ocean.

We had a great month!
We made this lovely Round Pond house our home for 4 weeks this summer. The house is so well taken care of, perfectly clean, and beautifully decorated. We arrived to so many thoughtful touches, including a bottle of wine, cherries, cookies, and fresh flowers, which made us feel so welcome. The location was perfect, and we loved being able to walk to not one, but two different lobster pounds in 5 minutes. The house is exactly as it appears in the listing and photos. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect little house in a bucolic, tiny coastal villages. An idyllic getaway spot for grownups.
Close your eyes and imagine a perfect little getaway spot for you and your partner. You might just be envisioning this rental. The historic and beautifully furnished cottage is not situated directly on the water, but it has harbor views from the back porch and second-floor deck. It's a short walk from the lovely harbor village of Round Pond and the idyllic lupine meadow with public access to the water. When we arrived the house was abloom with fresh wildflowers in antique jars and vases, and there was a bottle of white wine chilling in the fridge.

Resplendent and Radiant Round Pond
Tucked down a tiny spur of a street, in a little hamlet on a quiet peninsula in craggy Muscongus Bay, is a charming folk-style Victorian that's been lovingly maintained and updated just ready for your spin on a Midcoast Maine adventure. Owners Mark and Kim have not let any nook or cranny space go to waste, with bookshelves in almost every room and delightful artwork (even some of Kim's own creation) to inspire you. The kitchen was a real delight to cook and bake in -- no mean feat in any summer cottage rental! And the proximity to village amenities (like a coffee shop, lobster pound or "five and dime" store) means you will always have options. You won't regret booking this charming coastal home!

Artful, Historic Home in Quaint, Tranquil Setting
Mark and Kim's home is a work of art. Each furnishing in the home is either a charming antique or the manifestation of an artist's imaginings. Mark and Kim's unique, clever style in bringing all of this together in a home is fresh and delightful, yet inviting and comfortable. The setting of the home on Round Pond could not be more quaint. Mark and Kim's conscientious nature and attention make them wonderful hosts. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

A Jewel of a House
We immensely enjoyed our stay in this unique house, surrounded by works of art, books, antique furnishings, and reminders of France. The house was immaculately clean and well-organized. There is a clear view of the harbor and beyond, from the second floor deck and the expansive ground floor deck. The screened-in porch off the kitchen is an inviting space for meals, reading and relaxing. The kitchen is well equipped with amenities and appliances. We enjoyed the fact that the house is in a very quiet neighborhood, but is an easy walk away from the nearby lobster pound, coffee shop, and general store. Staying in the house afforded an opportunity to connect to the Civil War history of the area, and was a welcome respite from more hectic alternatives.

Wineberg Wedding Guests
This is a lovely, picturesque house with lots of interesting collectibles. Every time I walked into a room I noticed another treasure. The location is great, and just a short walk to a very good restaurant and a popular lobster shack.

A quiet place on Molly's Cove
Staying at this Civil War-era home filled with vintage items and modern art so near Molly's Cove proved to be the perfect vacation spot. My mom and I returned to some of our favorite spots on the Pemaquid peninsula and found the home's location perfect to access both Damariscotta, the beach and the lighthouse. The home was delightful for afternoon naps and reading and meditating. Walking around the Village of Round Pond to the lobster pounds or old time candy store felt like a walk back in time. For those seeking solace and a retreat, this is the place for you.

Extremely peaceful and comfortable
I loved my stay here! Everything about this property was just as described and pictured. Even though the house is right in the village of Round Pond and within walking distance to shopping, ice cream, and dining, it's extremely quiet and private. The house was very clean and wonderfully decorated, and the owners were extremely accommodating and nice to work with. For anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of a beautiful Maine village, I would highly recommend this property.
