Walking distance to train station and all the to-sees. Eiryo the owner was super friendly and warm to welcome us when we arrived. The place is very spacious and can easily accommodate up to 5/6 people. Eiryo had careful and cute drawings all over the house to illustrate how things work with tips. Big recommendation to any visitors!

L'ambiance cocooning, la décoration atypique, les accessoires et la propreté.
Le logement est très facile d’accès, il est à la fois proche de la gare, proche du château et proche de la ruelle Nawate.
Tout était bien indiqué, et tout a été fait pour que nous nous sentions chez nous.
Nous avons apprécié aussi toutes ces petites attentions qui était faites pour que nous nous sentions bien. Merci^^

Excellent location: several blocks from train station, close to the castle and good restaurants and shopping. The home was roomy and had cute signs everywhere explaining how things work in English. I loved that the house was 140 years old and still retained its Japanese character. The host was very helpful and friendly when we had a chance to talk to him.

Location in between station and castle, plenty of towels, could check in bit earlier, nice sleeping room
only one large knive, very dark, no windows, cold in the living room and bath room despite gas furnace

We are very happy with the place except for the gas heater that's not very pleasant to smell. Anyway, it's a great accommodation and everyone is happy. Thank you :)

Clear labels in English on items in the house, well stocked bathroom (e.g. not just the standard shampoo conditioner and body wash but also makeup remover and face wash), laundry area and kitchen were all lovely, thoughtful touches by the host. Kerosene heaters dotted around the house kept us toasty warm in winter, though we were wondering if there were CO monitors in the house.
Thought there was an archery range in the house to keep kids occupied inside but the range was actually co-located in the same building. Host was kind enough to open it up for us when we checked in. At ¥400/pax/10 arrows not a bad deal. Too bad kids below 10 couldn't have a go cos it was good fun.

Location is one of the best charm point of the facility. Both castle and station are reachable within 10 minutes walk. And still in the quiet river side. Kura, Japanese old style warehouse, is now rare and sound me nostalgic.

It is a private house that convenient if you want to have quality time with family and friends. They have two floors with first floor as kitchen and living room - second floor as bed room. For kitchen, they have almost everything like rice cooker, some spices and portable stove, so probably if you want to cook, it actually possible.

Great location, all sights in walking distance, quiet, very clean, host was extremely helpful and friendly.
Altogether it was a nice stay and there weren't any major issues. It's an old storage house which is cool but it also means it only has one smaller window on the second floor. Kitchen area is a bit small. It's not for cooking, but rather for preparing breakfast.

The property was absolutely perfect! We were a group of 3 females on a girls trip and the place was perfect for us! The space was great with small kitchen, fridge, heaters, air, bathroom, separate shower and laundry!
The bathroom and shower area did not have heat. It wasn’t that bad for me because I’m typically a hot person but for someone who is colder it may be an issue. I’m the end though...that really didn’t matter for any of us ladies. The house was just perfect!
