Great town, the accommodation was more than the pictures do justice and lots to do. Toured the town of St Mary's and went to Cumberland Island a must see. Food, location scenery off the charts, here we come again. A 10++

We have stayed here a few times. It is becoming our home away from home while we get ready to build in the area. We love the place and Linda is the best property owner we have encountered. Nothing is left undone, she has thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

We had an amazing time at Southern Bell. It was spotlessly clean and really easy to settle into for our week-long stay. We spent a lot of time out on the deck enjoying the river view. We loved all of the windows, especially the views when there were storms.

St. Marys and "Southern Bell" grabbed our heart. Our first visit to celebrate our 55 anniversary and we were so pleasantly surprised by the beautiful ammenities. It is perfect location. Hope you can keep this area a secret for a few more years!!

The accommodation were over the top super nice. The views and everything was really great, thanks so much for putting so much thought and effort in a lovely place .

We had a wonderful visit with only one hiccup! The electronic door lock didn't like us! Once we got in touch with the owner we were set to have a great visit. She even called to check in on us! The place was very clean and a great location! We walked to the ferry, to eat, and to shop. The neighbors were very friendly as always and we felt like we were at home. We think the bed is a full size and not a queen, it was very small but we're used to a king size. We had a great stay!

Literally right on the water. Fully stocked kitchen to cook your meals and enjoy while you watch the boats come and go from the dining room table or porch. This is such a comfortable place. The restaurants, bars, and attractions make this perfect for wandering around and enjoying the slow pace of a small coastal town. Impossible to feel anything but relaxed when I'm here.

This was the first VRBO rental we have had that was better in every way than the pictures online showed. (If ya know, ya know!) We loved this place. We were in town for the Cumberland Island experience. This rental is located across the street from the ferry dock. A very clean place with all the amenities you could need. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings and listening to live music from the nearby bar and grills.My wife and I agreed we will definitely be back.

Weekend stay to visit Cumberland Island. The southern bell was the perfect location. Short walk to ferry, restaurants, and shopping.

We met our adult daughter and boyfriend and really enjoyed the area and location. Right across from where the ferry leaves for Cumberland Island and beautiful views of the waterfront. The apartment was nicely appointed and pretty, and a short walk to several bars and eateries. A very relaxing place to stay.

This is a great little apartment by the riverfront in St. Marys, a perfect location for experiencing the little town and especially for a day trip or more to Cumberland Island, located right across from where the ferry leaves. Very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay, we would definitely stay here again.

This property couldn't have been more perfect! It was picturesque and spotless. It had everything to make you feel at home and nice having two bathrooms. We spent two days going to Cumberland Island and it was wonderful to return home to our apartment. Very convenient to the Ferry landing. Would definitely love to stay here again!

We chose this rental for its history and location. Perfect spot to access points north and south! We went up to Jekyll Island and down to Jacksonville Beach. Clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Loved the old phones :) we could t use the outside deck due to storms but it would have been lovely spot for morning coffee!

Southern Bell is in a great location and is spotlessly clean. Outside you can hear music from the Tiki bar nearby, but it is very quiet inside. We will stay here again .

Perfect location, super clean, very well stocked with extras to make it feel like home! Added bonus, you can walk everywhere!

We loved our stay at the “Southern Bell”! Our drive took all day in 100 degree weather and it was such a joy to come “home” to absolutely everything we needed! The apartment is very well decorated and spotlessly clean. Our main focus for our vacation was to visit Cumberland Island for 3 of the days (we weren’t interested in camping in the heat) and this little spot is located directly across from the ferry. We hardly used our car once we were settled in. The restaurants in St Mary’s are great, we never had a bad meal. Live music plays at the restaurant nearby the Southern Bell, so join them on Friday and Saturday night for a good time! We had a flawless experience with booking, checking in/out, and simply enjoying ourselves all week. We will be back!

Beautiful apartment. We loved if. My favorite was the floors and doors! No complaints from us at all. Our little babies did great in their travel cribs, brought our sound machine and let them watch our phones since there's no TV, but it was not a prob for us!! Thank you Linda!

There is a nice supply of all the the items you made need to start your vacation off right. The location is superb! It is walking distance to several restaurants and activities. St. Mary’s is such a quaint little town along the river. Also, be sure to visit Cumberland Island - it will not disappoint! We would not hesitate to return again one day!! We loved the experience of being right on the harbor and seeing the boats across the way, and being able to walk to the ferry and the park. It felt very special and very "St. Mary's." We did have family staying at another property with a big fenced yard and a dock, and we spent a lot of time over there; I think if we were planning to stay all day at this VRBO it might have been challenging with small children, since there isn't a large space to play. But since most days we were either at Cumberland Island or on the go to other activities, this was the perfect landing pad for resting at night and quiet mornings looking out over the harbor from the balcony. The live music from the nearby restaurant would have been a problem for us but it consistently ended at 10pm every night - perfect! I will say that the queen bed that my husband and I slept in was a tad soft for me, but that could be just my preference. Otherwise it was an exceptionally comfortable experience! The apartment was very clean and well-provisioned.

This place is a hidden GEM!!! It’s like 100% remodeled to perfection…. And there is no way you’ll find a better place or location in St Marys, Ga. Not for the price :)
