Mjög rólegt og þægilegt umhverfi. Morgunverðurinn var góður. Starfsfólkið var vingjarnlegt og hjálpsamt.

Beautiful view, well looked after pool, traditional style interior
The only thing I can fault is non fitted sheets on the bed which can be a pain in the middle of the night

The friendly and royalty like service :) The breakfasts served in a royal manner. We’re missing the crowns :) The location was very convenient, we took a rental car, so driving the the city of Sintra center takes 6 minutes on a good serpentine narrow road, fun! Parking available on site, rooms are comfy and with very nice views. We didn’t use the other hotel facilities, but there was a pool a nice lobby with a baby grand available.
The mosquitoes :( But there was a smell repellent available in the room and we used it. The high humidity in the city of Sintra is quite normal so inside closed rooms the smell might be quite unpleasant.

I can not praise this hotel highly enough, I loved it and am already looking at dates to return! it is a beautiful old Portuguese house in an idyllic setting with a view from the garden and pool of Pena Palace. The hotel is furnished with beautiful antiques and feels so homely. The breakfast was just perfect, lovingly prepared from fresh ingredients including a home made cake daily and a freshly made healthy smoothy. Also egg, bacon, warm croissant and rolls, ham, cheese, jams, yoghurt, fresh fruit and coffee. But the best thing by far are the delightful, kind hosts. Suzanne went far beyond expectations after a difficult journey for me and made me feel complexly at home. I’m feeling quite sad to leave!
Saying goodbye…

Awesome views of Sintra's main landmarks from the hotel. The hotel is easily accessible by car and Ubers. The breakfast is probably one of the best we've had in hotel-stays. The staff is super friendly and will do what they can to help you with your needs.
Maybe a little bit of floor-sweeping in the room would have been nice as it sometimes felt as if it was dusty.

The house and garden were very nice.
We were greeted very nicely by the owner, who was very helpful.
The location was great, near sintra town (7 min drive).
Private parking was great.
Excellent breakfast!!
We were in the room on the ground floor. There are rooms with a balcony on the first floor (stairs), maybe they are different, I don't know.
The room was very small, with a glass door to the balcony, no window that can be opened. The bathroom was very small and uncomfortable. No air-conditioning.
No chair or hanger to air clothes and towels. There is a closet and dresser of drawers. Entering the room was a sewage smell.
As we stayed only to sleep for one night, it was ok.

The view was spectacular. You could see mountain with all main m attraction like Palacio de Pene just in front of You. We choose the room with balcony with the view.
Breakfast was simple but good. Could be a little bigger. The flor is a bit noisy and You can hear next door neigbours, but i guess that's the charms of living in old palace.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The house itself was beautiful and peaceful, nice Portuguese architecture. Wonder breakfast.

Nice view and pool
Did not like that I did not have the bathroom in the room, I had to change room to go to the toilet

Very nice vila overlooking the Sintra mountain with very welcoming public area. Location is good with a car. The host was very welcoming and gave us a full information about the palaces
The room itself was not as nice. The air smelt heavy. There is a door to the outside which can't realy be left open since it get to the bed half way and blocks the path and there is no window for the room. We slept with a small noisy humidifier. It felt like it was not cleaned properly. I had a slug in my shoe in the morning. The shower did not have hot water. There was 1 socket next to each side of the bed so need to choose between charging the phone and using the lamp. As it says, there is no internet and tv in the room. There is also no tv at the public area. Breakfast is served to the table, i personally prefer a buffe

Susanna welcomed us warmly and provided us with many useful tips to discover Sintra, its surroundings and its typical food. From the main room (where the breakfast is served) you have a perfect view on Morish Castle and Pena Palace. Our room was pretty big with a comfortable bed and with a window facing the garden. The breakfast was excellent!
The room was a little dusty and with some mosquitoes/insects, probably because of the window facing the garden.

Beautiful property, ultra friendly staff, stunning views. Property can be a little hard to find but worth it when you arrive. A few tips, the host Susanna lives on the property and will email you on your arrival date to ask what time you'll tentatively be arriving. As a courtesy, please give her a window of time so she isn't waiting around. She is a very sweet person who is very helpful giving you restaurant recommendations and tips on visiting the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace (driving and parking up there are a nightmare). Second tip is that there are two gates to the property. There is one with an intercom system, please use that one to initially get in. We got lucky that someone else was driving into the property at the same time we arrived so we followed them in. Once you get checked in, you will receive your room key and gate remote to come and go as you please during your stay. If you are checking out early in the morning (as we did) please do let her know so she can meet you to collect the room key and gate remote and then let you out. The property itself is amazing. It is a beautifully up kept farm manor with a pool, vineyard and orchard (vineyard and orchard aren't open to the guests but it probably wouldn't hurt to ask if you can walk around). The view from the patio area is amazing and you can see the Moorish Castle and Pena Palace on the distant hill top. There is also an honor bar in the lounge area with beer and wine that may be paid for when you depart (honor system). The breakfast was lovely and is set up on the patio in the morning facing the mountains (weather depending I'm sure). We drove and stayed at many hotels on our trip to Portugal and most listed free parking available. I came to find out that free parking in Portugal means street parking. This was not the case at Santa Maria Casa Nostra as the parking was on property and secure. Eat dinner at Petiscaria Casa and talk to Nuno (cool guy).
Bathroom shower had a hose type shower head with nowhere to place it while standing to take a shower.

I stayed 1 night and saw Quinta da Regaleira. It was a nice clean hotel with a good breakfast. The lady who checked me in was very nice and informative on things to do and places to eat nearby. The view is also very nice.

Wonderful helpful host and delicious breakfast. Our balcony has a beautiful view of castle
Too many mosquito and flies even in September. We got many bites even we tried to keep the door closed. The bathroom is very humid.

Susanna's Casa is beautiful. An idyllic, authentic Portuguese villa amongst a flourishing vineyard and productive fruit trees. The breakfast was unbelievable - fresh pressed juice and an array of the most comprehensive breakfast delights! The setting for breakfast was outside gazing up at the castles set amongst the hills in full view making this absolutely memorable.
Susanna, her husband and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and cared for.
Everything about our stay here was wonderful! Oh, and to top it off...a lovely pool!
Absolutely nothing!

The property is a stunning, vintage villa beautifully decorated and with a beautiful pool and great surrounding countryside. The host and the whole staff is very kind and nice. Breakfast is abundant and very tasty with salty and sweet options.

Susanna was a fabulous host with an incredibly gorgeous estate b and b. Breakfast was excellent, fruit, coffee, fresh juices, croissants, ham, cheese eggs bacon and a rotation of delicious pastries. My apartment and the Terrance had perfect views of Pena palace and castles. It was a lovely hike into/out of Sintra albeit obviously steep but only about 40 min each way.
Decor could be updated/ modernized a bit and additional plates and bowls and a Collinder in the kitchen would be welcomed. I didn't find the beds to be particularly cozy but it would be an easy fix with a mattress topper. The bathroom did have a bit of an odor, potentially because of old plumbing but it was clean. All in all a very lovely space and still highly recommend you stay.

Stunning view on Sinatra. Exceptionally warm welcome by host Susana. She was very helpful with tips. Exceptional breakfast with a view on Sinatra.
Nothing really. We were very pleased with our short stay. It is a bit out of the way so a car is helpful.

The host and staff were very helpful. The view and the pool were exceptional. It was nice being away from the tourist area of Sintra but close enough to it and to the beaches.
The beds could have been slightly softer but this is personal preference.

This was a beautiful retreat in a gorgeously picturesque location. Suzanna was a great host and made us feel very much at home. We stayed for a fortnight and loved every day of it. The breakfasts are unbelievably good, the rooms were beautiful and the pool was wonderful. one of our favourite holidays - lots to see around Sintra, great beaches and wonderful Lisbon nearby.
