Aufgrund einer Fugplanänderung erreichten wir das Hotel, nachts11 Std. vor der aktuellen Check in Zeit. Wir erhielten dennoch ohne wenn und aber oder Aufpreis unser Zimmer. Die zentrale Lage war der Grund der Buchung. Service und Freundlichkeit der gesamte Mitarbeiter war hervorragend. Das Frühstück war sehr abwechslungsreich. Die Poolanlagen großzügig gestaltet. Im Pup wurde zu üblichen Dubai Preisen Alkohol ausgeschenkt.

Im Frühstück Außenbereich sind allerdings diverse Tauben die sich auf den nicht abgeräumten Tellern niederlassen.

Room was large and comfortable. Professional and polite staff. Dubai Mall is within a walking distance, but it is not inter-connected. You will still have to walk outside on the hot concrete road.

They are short of staff at the front desk. I have arrived in the early morning. There was only one female staff at the front desk and handling the long queue of guests who wanted to check-in. It was very chaotic and not well organised, we were just told by her to wait at the sofa across the check-in desk. Understandably she was very stressed with the amount of work she had to handle by herself. Funny thing was there was another male staff at the counter but somehow he was NOT doing the check-in process which was not helpful. The hotel should allocate the resources more appropriately to handle the volume of guests, since Dubai airport is operating for 24 hours. I waited for almost 40mins to check-in. Hotel provided a free WiFi but it was unfortunately not very usable since the connection was not strong enough. Forget about having video call.

Literally they were charging for everything, there was no toothpaste in toilets , they were charging for every little thing

La qualité de nettoyage des chambre. Les chambres étaient toujours très propres

Le mobilier était assez vieux et non uniforme. A titre d'exemple, le fauteuil et le canapé dans le salon semblaient anciens, déjà amortis et n'étaient pas de même couleur. Il en est de même pour les rideaux, notamment les boîtes à rideaux dont le tissu s'était décollé à certains endroit.

Noise from outside but it’s manageable.

Location is ok, 5-10 minute walk to dubai mall. bed is comfortable. bathroom was nice: bathtub, bidet, overall clean.

windowsill is full of pigeons and their poop, smells terrible if you come close to the window, so we kept our curtains closed. view was poor anyway. hotel false advertises view from window in the room description. doorlock is super loud with nasty long beeping noise. hotel staff tried to talk with me by phone, but could not - phone connection had issues. if you think that 5-10 minute walk to dubai mall is good, think again: 5 minutes under the dubai sun at 40+ degrees and you're cooked.

Location is excellent and breakfast is a little bit monotonous. Same variety everyday

The staff are not helpful at all even dough they were not busy at all because we came around 3am on top of that they have very bad attitude and the manager was even worse than the staff,

Was upgraded to a suite on arrival, which was nice. Clean, tidy and plenty of sockets (USB C!). All staff very friendly and professional without exception. I opted for breakfast and dinner included, which I highly recommend. Great options for both, with chefs making fresh produce throughout the service. Location very convenient for the mall and other tourist spots. A diverse cliental with multi nationality, couples/family's and business/pleasure, which gave a very inclusive feel. Always enjoy Swissotel's, and wont hesitate in returning to this one!

A traveller FYI and tip. If you travel by public transport, as I did. Rather than walk from the mall metro, through the mall, then crossing the road (which can be extremely confusing for first time visitors to Dubai, walk from emirates towers metro station. This is a similar route, and you can walk through DIFC if you need an AC break, taking the same amount of time.
