Enough room to spread out and chat, play games and enjoy each others company. As we were older skiing was not in the plans - weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy fires at night to take off the chill. Kitchen was fully equipped, and this made meal prep easy. This rental had the most interesting posters and pictures - so tastefully and uniquely done.

We spent the Thanksgiving weekend together and the home was the perfect size with the perfect amenities! We enjoyed hiking at Dolly Sods too. This was our first ever visit to Canaan Valley and we will be coming back again to stay here!

This was such a amazing stay! Private easy and just gorgeous! The only thing was the amount of cob webs and flies. Many dead and live flies! Cob webs in windows, ceiling, corners, lamps, corner-corner, fans…- other the. That is was clean and a really wonderful stay!

We visit Canaan Valley several times per year, so we visited some of our favorite spots.We experienced a minor water leak in the first floor bathroom. Best of Canaan dealt with it promptly as always.We would consider staying at Otter’s Den again in the future.

Everything was fantastic. Great location and great getaway. Hot tub was great and the house was perfect for the family. Definitely would stay there again. From the time before we even started our vacation to the very last day, the experience was great. Owners and realtor were great.

Doable and ok house but compared to most doesn't measure up. Hot tub was very nice! When arived there was a water issue, agency called water company and resolved. Sink drain did not drain, reported to agency. Great views at surrounding area hiking places. However, very twisty windy up and down mountains to get there. If you love mountains and back roads great drive, if get car sick bad choice. One of those places you visit once and say, " well it was ok but would never return."

The house was large and would accommodate a lot of guest. The house is a little worn even for a ski rental. Kids explored the back yard and had a blast. Hot tub did get hot enough always a plus. Timberline ski resort is very close and friendly but it needs an update in a major way.

You would think the guests would be received with a much cleaner property, it seems to me that the place was empty for a few months. We did appreciate the good working heating system and the hot tub, which was very clean. Bathroom mats need to be replaced badly. Overall it was a good experience, but the fees charged, I would expect a cleaner place.
