¡¡¡NO RESERVAR!! No puedo llegar a entender una buena puntuación a estos zulos. Realmente eran asquerosos, ya no es un error humano cómo nos indicó el gerente, es falta de mantenimiento + error de que no se ha limpiado desde hace años.

¡¡HORRIBLEE!! ¡Terrorífico! Miren las imagenes ,había peloS (no 1 pelo, varios) en la cama, manchas en la cama amarillas y negras, hongos en la ducha, las pardes podridas de la ducha, el grifo podrido, telarañas, una caja de kleenex usada, cucarachas en el baño y en la cama, hongos en los jabones, caía mierda de pajaro desde el techo. Nos fuimos el día siguiente a las 8 de la mañana después de pasar 5 horas intentando dormir a este “hotel”. Pagamos 300€ por noche, parece una broma pero no lo es. Es antihigiénico, asqueroso, vomitivo. Ni que me pagaran 1000€ ellos a mi duermo voluntariamente aquí. Únicamente tienen que mirar las fotos. No hay palabaras. El hotel no nos han devuelto más que 1/4 parte de la reserva y sólo pasamos 5 horas allí dentro. Muy poco serios y profesionales.

Las fotos no son actuales, pagué por una habitación con vista a la Laguna y los árboles y palmeras están muy crecidos y tapan totalmente la vista al Lago

La zona en donde esta ubicada es perfecta ya que el agua de la laguna es baja. La comida del hotel es muy buena

Las cortinas de la habitación estaban cortas y se alcanzaba a ver al interior de la habitación y el estacionamiento esta cruzando la calle

Me encanta que está frente a la laguna y que está en una parte muy amigable para nadar. También me gusta mucho que tenga alberca que ve a la laguna. Los cuartos son amplios, privados, el personal es amable. Me gustaron los dos restaurantes que tiene el hotel.

Es war eine traumhafte Zeit, die wir im Casa Bakal erleben durften. Wir waren einfach nur geflasht von dieser Aussicht und alles was zu dieser Unterkunft gehörte. Das Frühstück hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Das Personal war überaus freundlich. Der Bungalow war groß, sauber und gut mit Kosmetik-Artikel ausgestattet. Wir hatten einen kleinen Pool, den man nach Bedarf beheizen konnte. Die Massagen die man dort buchen konnte waren himmlisch. Und nicht zu vergessen!!!! EIN GROSSES LOB an die Küche!!!!!!Wir hatten eigentlich geplant jeden Abend woanders zu essen, aber wir haben uns dann schnell umentschieden weil die Küche im Casa Bakal einfach nicht zu übertreffen war. Für jeden war was dabei. Egal was man gegessen hat, es hat geschmeckt und die Teller waren mit Liebe zubereitet. Eins ist sicher..... wenn wir wieder einmal Bacalar besuchen, dann buchen wir die Unterkunft im Casa Bakal!

A Bacalar j'ai "uniquement" manger au restaurant de l'hôtel. J'ai eu une intoxication alimentaire extrêmement grave qui a duré 10 jours ! Apres l'avoir signaler à l'accueil aucune excuse, aucune aide et aucune compensation. Attention ⚠️ au restaurant Le petit déjeuner en buffet, les règles d'hygiène basique non respectées, lavage de main ect...et la propreté de la cuisine.

Al entregarme habitación no cambiaron todas las sábanas, la limpieza no es buena, las camas están duras

Everything. Location - The property’s location is ideal. The view is as shown by the pictures. It’s located close to the bird island - you can hear birds singing all day. And the pier has a little ladder from which you can go down in the water. It’s beautiful: just white sand and clear water! Activities - We spent most of the days at the hotel, where the water is incredibly clear - perfect to swim - and where kayak, paddle and catamaran were available. We also took a tour from another place 5min walk away. If you are here for the lagoon, this is the perfect spot. If you’re here to see the city, the centre is quite far off but taxis can take you there. Food - We ate a brunch everyday. They serve breakfast from 8 to 11 and there’s for all the tastes. My brother loves savoury breakfast, whilst I am more cereals/ pancakes or jam on toast type of person, and we both were very pleased with the options. Room - We had set our heart on the bungalows to start with but ultimately took the bedroom with lake view. This room was great! A beautiful view and the balcony - we cannot ask for more. The A/C is life saving. We arrived our bedroom felt quite humid but within 10min, it was fresh and cold. Finally, a cleaner comes everyday. Staff - The staff was lovely! We had a bad start of trip and the taxi we had booked never picked us up. The hotel sorted it all for us. They were wearing a smile, and happy to answer any questions in Spanish or English! We felt very welcomed. Something I feared but there was none: mosquitos! This made everything even better.

N/A - The room/ bathroom was a bit simplistic but we personally thought it contributed to the charm of the place, or in no way took away from the breathtaking view we had! We were sad to leave!

Really good location-10 mins from bus station by taxi, a bit far to walk to all the restaurants but there was a restaurant right next to our hotel. Good room size, good size bed, comfortable cushions. Really good breakfast, so many choices , very tasty! Free use of kayaks and paddling boards. Cherry on top- beautiful lagoon! In fact, one of the best in Bacalar.

Although our room was clean there were dead, smudged mosquitoes all over the walls. The throw they put on our bed needs to be chucked away, all covered in bleach stains. That’s not acceptable for that level of money I’ve paid for the room. Would be amazing to have a long mirror in the room.

hôtel sur la lagune ( cette partie de la lagune est magnifique ) . La nourriture est très bonne sur place ( pas le petit déjeuné ) .

le petit déjeuné était un buffet franchement pas très bon et avec du retard dans l’heure annoncé . les serviettes de bains la première nuit avaient une odeur atroces , la seconde nuit elles étaient même tachés . la salle de bain se fait vielle ( miroir qui tombe à moitier , robinet en mauvais état ..) , pour le prix la chambre était vraiment pas terrible «  vu sur lagune » alors que nous avions vu plutôt sur un ponton défraîchis .. il y a eu également une coupure d’électricité pendant 5 heures et cela a été compliqué pour nous car le réseau mobile ne capte pas également à cet endroit , nous avons dû attendre le retour de l’électricité et donc de la wifi pour pouvoir mettre notre GPS .

Das Hotel CasaBakal liegt direkt an der Lagune. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Frühstück war super, das Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach traumhaft!

Wir hatten ein Vierbettzimmer mit Blick auf die Lagune. Das Zimmer war nicht sehr komfortabel, Dusche und Toilette sehr eng, wenig Wasserdruck. Kein Tisch und Schrank im Zimmer. Dafür war der Blick vom Balkon auf die Lagune überwältigend.

Staff were amazing. Isabel was very helpful with an issue we had. All other staff did a great job and we could not thank them enough. Breakfast was plentiful and something for everyone’s palette. The lagoon is spectacular, a must see.

The first assigned room was not at all what we had requested. Either bookings or the hotel made an error on the room and the description on the internet. Isabel had us moved and it was better but still not up to our expectations from the advertised offer. We thought it expensive per night but then again our dollar conversion sucks. Over $300.00 Canadian per night.

La hubicación para mi fue la mejor de toda la laguna, ya que al heber una pequeña islita que es area protegiada el flujo de lanchas era más limitado y se podia nadar muchisimo mejor ya que en lo personal nado por horas continuas y me gusta hacerlo sin las restricciones de boyas. En cuanto a la habitación hubicada a pie de la laguna y estuvo increible, pequeña, modesta pero bastante agradeble. El personal de limpieza muy amable El restaurante Maiz Azul que esta a la entrada del hotel francamente delicioso, todo lo que pobrebe en mis 3 noches estuvo increible, alimentos, prostres y bebidas, asi como la atención de todo el perosal que atiende y fui testigo de que los huespedes y gente externa regresaba al día siguiente.

En cuanto a los alimentos definitivamente dejaron mucho que desear, hay alimentos que tienen congelados de mucho tiempo y otros que son insipidos, mal sason y el desayno frio. En cuanto a la atención del persoal de Staf, considero que les hace falta estar mas al pendiente de todos los huespedes, ver si se requiere algo sobre todo en un área tan pequeña como lo es, sea en bar o el restaurante. Pedi un vaso para servirme agua e increiblemente no tenian, todos estaban ocupados y me pidieron servirme agua en una taza. Aun y con todos los puntos buenos definitivamente no es un lugar al que regresaría.

The location was amazing - the pool, the lagoon and hiring kayaks were the highlights for us. The restaurant served delicious, healthy food (yummy tacos, salads) and great cocktails/ smoothies. It had some great options for kids too (pasta, veg sticks). The breakfast changed daily but had a good choice of Mexican and western foods. The staff were helpful recommending local restaurants and trips.

We stayed in the main hotel which was quite old - our room (a quadruple) was smaller than we imagined for 4 of us - and it could do with a bit of a refresh. The bathroom had some black mould and the toilet seat was broken. The room was quite damp - a paint refresh and some new windows would help. But we decided the overall location and facilities outweighed all this! There are dogs that live at the hotel - so a warning if you're not a fan of them, as they jumped up on our toddler.

La struttura è strutturata bene, ci sono diverse opzioni per le camere e avere quello spazio a disposizione a un passo dalla laguna è perfetto.

Del non disporre nemmeno di un amaca.

The cabins at this hotel are amazing! They are really spacious, have good air conditioning and feel really special. The location on the Lake is just incredible and it is great to have loungers etc right on the water. Staff were all really friendly and we loved that you could just grab a kayak whenever you want.

Not much to say here really the hotel was really good! The food is a bit pricey but you have the option to go into town if you want for food.

Maybe quite a bit rustic for us but all the necessary things were here.

L'environnement de l'hôtel est digne du paradis !! L'hôtel dispose de 3 pontons donnant accès direct à l'un des plus beaux endroits de la lagune. La piscine est agréable pour les enfants tout comme le bar où l'on peut commandé n'importe quel cocktail. Le calme. L'établissement propose de nombreuses options : location de canoë, paddle, tour en bâteau sur la lagune, ...

Notre chambre, sous les toits de l'hôtel, est accessible par un petit escalier en bois. On sent qu'il s'agit là de la moins belle chambre de l'établissement. De plus, les fenêtres ne disposent ni de volets ni de rideaux : on est réveillé avec la lumière du jour.

Food

Excellent place, the laguna is fantastic, the staff is very nice and friendly. Perfect place to stay!

A small note. The pool is small and a bit dirty, they should put an outdoor shower so people can wash away the solar creme before entering the pool and the laguna.

The location

Too much pensive for what we paid, at time of check in they offer us a room with 4 individual beds meaning my wife and my self would have to sleep in different beds!!! The whole room smell terrible sewer smell.

The location on the lake was great! The kayaks and paddle boards were convenient. The staff was really friendly!

We were disappointed with the room above the restaurant in the main building. The window in the bathroom broke when trying to open it. The pillows were hard. You are up with the sun because of thinness of the curtains. The chair outside was broken. The walls were stained. My son cut his foot on a tile in the room that was loose and broken. There was little to no internet. The rooms are in need of upgrading and were not worth what we paid. Also, the rate increased when we got there as we reserved without paying and the exchange rate changed since we had "reserved".

The personnel's warmth and care for your needs it's great!

I would've love to have a small fridge inside my room to be able to keep water or milk cool and on hand at any moment.

Location is superb, with direct access to the lagoon, staff is very polite and will go the extra mile to meet your requirements. The hotel has free kayaks & padel boards for guests, they also arrange tours (private or group) to several attractions in the lagoon. Casa Bakal is conveniently located less than a mile from city center, you can cycle, walk or drive to the town for a dinner. The hotel is well equipped and well regarded as a quality hotel in the lagoon. I would definitely come back.

My only bad comment is related to breakfast, it’s a bit simple and plain. You can ask for more options from kitchen but it will take time. The restaurant next to the hotel and part of the premises is a great option for dinner…try it!
