Relaxing
What a pleasant surprise! The home and amenities exceeded our expectations! The water level was low at the lake but it did not dampen the fun and relaxation we experienced. We always enjoy hiking and biking the Jack Rabbit trail system and will look forward to staying here again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay
The house and location was great. Everything was just as the description stated. Driveway was not bad at all. However the information to get into the house was wrong. The internet information was wrong. Having no cell service to be able to contact anyone for the correct information was horrible. Finally after trying for almost 2 hours we got in. Then after we left was charged for having a dog. Which we did not have. After a few days the charges were dropped. Would look at renting property again but not with the management company that had it when we stayed.

We used this home as a base camp for a race our cycling team was competing in. It worked great for us and we enjoyed our visit. We where able to find all we needed in the kitchen for cooking our meals. The home was clean.
There home is also centrally located to both Hayesville and Hiwassee for restaurants or groceries.

The water had a strong sulfur smell to it. I don't know if this is common for the area or if there was some type of problem. We simply bought a few gallons of water at the store and did not worry about it. If this is a concern for you, buy the water ahead of time. There was a filter on the sink.

Base Camp For Our Cycling Team
We used this home as a base camp for a race our cycling team was competing in. It worked great for us and we enjoyed our visit. We where able to find all we needed in the kitchen for cooking our meals. The home was clean.

There was an awful sulfur smell coming from the water inside the house that made us question if we should use bottled water to brush our teeth. But overall, really good experience. It's was a nice place clean and everything the code didn't work for the door the water smelled like rotten eggs felt like it was over priced for the area and the time period for 2 nights we found other cabins in Gatlinburg for less but they cancelled my reservation at last minute so we was left with this option there nothing around to do the lake was a marsh and the water level was down I don't know if we would ever stay there again we stayed in Cherokee nc for a week and it was only 900 less than 2 weeks ago felt like it was over priced for the location and everything

Mountain Getaway
My family of 7 enjoyed our stay during Thanksgiving. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the host communicated with me frequently throughout our stay.
As mentioned in other reviews, the house could use some repairs, including the stairs leading to the second level and locks. The pull out bed was soiled and the water smelled harsh and foul. The driveway is steep and the house is easy to miss, especially if you are checking in after the sun sets. The kitchen is well stocked and the host ensured we had plenty of propane. The house is next door to some unsightly trailers but has beautiful homes on the opposite side. Cell reception was great and so was the internet. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Cozy getaway plenty of space
Enjoyed the lake access, pool table, dart board and hoops game. Very easy to access Jack Rabbit bike trails.

Family/Friends Vacation
The checkin process was easy. The property was very neat and clean and had everything you needed. The place is spacious and so relaxing. The neighborhood was really quiet. A short walk to the lake with a beautiful view. The only complaint is getting up the driveway as it’s very steep. Had 4 cars and only 2 of them were able to get up the driveway with no issue. The others had to be backed up the driveway because they had rear wheel traction. Overall, the trip was wonderful.

Pool table/game room downstairs is nice.The bad:The VRBO ad lists this as a lakeside house going so far as to have pictures multiple docks including a swim dock. The fact is that you can barely see the lake from the house (August) and you do not have access to use the swim dock. The property manager advised that we had a slip at the covered dock but another group had two boats and a jet ski parked there. We just wanted to fish and let the kids swim but found other places in town.TV downstairs comes on but has nothing hooked up to it. The property manager said that it was for guests that brought their own game systems but it is unusable without an additional device to plug in. Gas ran out in the grill with steaks already prepped. Property manager did provide a replacement bottle the next day but the meal had passed by that point. The ugly:On our last night, we had a decent storm come over which caused/revealed issues with the house. The breaker kept tripping to the upstairs guest room causing my kids nightlights/fans to go out. GFI in the kitchen also tripped several times without significant lightning. Overall:This place has potential but ultimately was a missed expectations based on the ad. We won’t rent here again.

Relaxing and very clean; overall good
A nice, well stocked and very clean house; water smells and water softener was beeping. Pool table is a nice amenity but only one cue had a tip. Nearby property has unsightly trailers and the picture in the listing of the uncovered dock is deceiving, it belongs to the neighbor and cannot be used. The dock that can be used is not in great shape, with no ladder for swimming. The porch is wonderful.

Beautiful Lake
Had a great time. House was nice, beds could use some improvement. Driveway is extremely steep and not paved. Was hard to get up without 4 wheel drive. Enjoyed the back porch in the evenings. Little bit of a walk to the boat slip but it was a gentle incline and it worked out fine. Loved the area and hope to move up that way in the future.

Week long getaway
We had the best time at this lake house. The location was perfect for us because the kids had paddleboards and kayaks. It was off the main lake so there wasn’t much traffic and we felt safe letting them go out far. We loved the large lawn for playing and the house was perfect. Plenty of room for everyone.

Five Stars for Service - Little Bear Cabin Rentals
A group of guys have been taking a lake trip once per year for at least a decade. Low water due to a drought presented an issue for us at the beginning of our 9 night stay, but Robyn and Wendy at Little Bear Cabins got creative with an alternative. We were flexible and they were flexible so it turned out great. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet!!!

Last hoorah for summer
My family and I rented this property for the last little vacation of summer. It was exquisite! Amenities were ample. Lake was perfect. The dock situation was confusing but we spoke to neighbors and figured it out. Not one complaint. Thank you!

Lakeside Serenity
Clean and well kept. At least 100 yds from lake, which we knew, wish grass was cut before weekend. Friendly dogs on both sides but they liked to do business near home. Water smells like sulfur. WiFi was nice but TV was tiny. I don’t think that the neighbor that shares the dock is a big fan of renters. Quiet cove no loud partying. Grocery store is about 7 miles. Driveway is steep and gravel which can be difficult to climb. Lots of room, would rent again.

Best house ever
After 7 years of coming to the mountains, we finally found the perfect t vacation house. Just like pictures showed, peaceful and relaxing. And it was the cleanest house we have ever stayed in. The cleaning crew must be AWESOME. We will definitely come back there again.

Great place for family!
Wonderful home, well maintained and stocked. We had a great week long stay. We brought our pontoon boat and launched at the property no problem. The covered dock was very convenient. We highly recommend Little Bear Properties and this VRBO.

Enjoyed our weekend! The driveway is steep and it rained quite a bit during our stay. Made it a little difficult to get to the road. Be forewarned and consider the weather. Worth that small adventure!!!

Good time had by all
Our family enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Serenity. The house is furnished well and the kitchen is stocked very well. All we had to bring was our clothes and personal items. Linens are stocked as well as towels and paper products, hand soap, bath soap. I can't say enough good things about the house. The view of the lake is somewhat obstructed by trees and it is a downhill walk from the house. But overall we had a great time.

The owner may consider posting new pictures. Home is in much better shape than in pics.
Everything was very clean and neat. It looks as if home is freshly painted. Over all our stay was very good. The boat ramp is steeper than it appears. Also we were surprised by the "smell" of the water in the house. It had a "Florida or South Georgia" smell - different than what we are used to in our mountains.
