The property was perfect for its location and our needs. We loved the set up in the cottage with access to the garden and its wonderful views. The host was very accommodating. We were sad when it came time to leave.

A great experience staying in this heritage cottage within a short stroll from Salamanca Place. The cottage was equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. The little touches like chocolates and coffee beans were really appreciated.

Lovely historical cottage in Battery Point had everything we needed for a 3 day stay. Walked everywhere. Great quiet and charming location with excellent bakeries and restaurants around the corner. Eady walk to the MONA ferry.

Excellent property in a fantastic location. Everything you could want is a short walk away especially DaAngelos Italian Restaurant, best Ever !! 5 min stroll to Salamanca markets and the ferry to Mona.

This property has everything that you need for a wonderful time in Hobart. We stayed for nearly 4 weeks and could not be more impressed with the location, the facilities and hosts. Thank so much Gillian and Barry. Amazing recommendations for food and wine places. Hosts were not at all intrusive but available for anything else we needed. Highly recommended. We had an amazing stay.

We have stayed in Hobart many times but this time we wanted something with charm, history and in Battery Point. This property is exaxtly as listed, water views, stone cottahe and a stones throw from Hampden Rd. Even better right next to our fav pub 'Shipwrights Arms'. Also a lovely garden to sit in some afternoon sun

My friends loved absolutely everything about the cottage.Could not fault anything. Communication,Location,Cleanliness 10 out of 10.I was unwell and could not make the trip but i will be definitely be staying here next time.

Gillian was a wonderful host. It was cosy and warm with the fire on. There was everything we needed to cook our own meals, including oil, salt pepper etc.. A great location for walking around Battery Point, Salamanca and also an easy walk into Hobart.

Great restaurants within 2 blocks- can highly recommend Magic Curries (Indian) and Kathmandu (Nepalese) and Jackman and McRoss bakery and cafe

I visited the cottage with two friends. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and I can’t wait to return with my family next time we’re in Hobart. Highly recommend!

Everything was perfect. Location was an easy walk to Salamanca and some amazing restaurants on Hampden Road. Inside was warm and cosy. Fully equiped kitchen (cheese knife and wine glasses included). Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property fitted out with amazing furniture, fittings, decorations far above what you would normally expect. Generous with provisions. Absolute pleasure staying here. Also loved the small balcony overlooking the garden. Location couldn’t be better. Walking distance to everything. Didn’t need to use the car at all. Only draw back is we would have wanted to stay longer. Wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else on our next trip to Hobart.

We were blown away by how enjoyable it was to stay at this property. It was so beautiful but also comfortable. The beds were so good - we all had a great nights sleep. The location is incredible, only a short walk to Salamanca. The garden and the harbour views were breath taking. I can’t recommend it enough.

Absolutely delightful place to stay in Battery Point - easy walk to Jackman & McRoss for delicious breakfast/pastries, & several restaurants (we enjoyed Three Japanese & Kathmandu); or Salamanca Place for shopping; or Wrest Point for conferences.
Very clean, stylish, all mod cons, but history preserved, e.g. stone walls.
Thoughtful touches, e.g. fresh garden roses in vases, local pottery etc.
Easy-to-use gas fireplace for when it suddenly turns cold, which we really appreciated.
Upstairs bedrooms in loft-style area - just need reminder not to bump your head on angled ceiling when getting in and out of bed.

Great house in a perfect location! Easy access to Salamanca and close to shops and cafes. We spent 4 days here as a family and it has everything you could need. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Hobart.

The property lived up to the photos. Clean, roomy and well equipped. The cupboards are stocked with more than the expected necessities.
Location wise it was fantastic. Easy walk to Salamanca and the CBD. Such a pretty, historical neighbourhood.
Local restaurants were also excellent.
We really enjoyed our trip and our stay.

I enjoyed a short stay at this property. Very convenient position so could walk everywhere and avoid car hire. After a 3 day trek on Bruny Island, the cottage provided all the comfort and conveniences I could ask for. Would recommend for a solo traveller, couple or family group.
