Lovely dar close to the Medina. Namir, the owner, was very attentive and helpful and also found us a wonderful guide, Kamal, to show us around the Medina at short notice. Thoroughly recommended if you can get him.

Die Lage um Fes zu entdecken, ist super. Das Frühstück war ausgiebig und man konnte es in gemütlicher/ authentischer Atmosphäre genießen. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich gastfreundlich und geben Tipps für einen tollen Aufenthalt.

La hospitalidad desde el primer contacto. Nos costó un poco llegar al Riad en coche y salieron a recogernos y guiarnos hasta allí e incluso dejarnos aparcar en la puerta de forma gratuita al no haber sitio en el parking público que hay al lado. Desde que entramos por la puerta nos sentimos como en casa, nos ofrecieron un té, nos dieron indicaciones para visitar la ciudad... La ubicación es perfecta, no muy lejos del estrés de la medina pero tranquilo, perfecto para visitar todo Todo el Riad es precioso, la habitación muy cómoda, muy limpio... El desayuno muy muy bueno Pero sobretodo la dedicación y amabilidad que tiene todo el personal hacia sus huéspedes, es vital Si vuelvo a Fez, volvería sin duda

Really beautiful Dar, the room was pretty, clean and spacious. The owners are very kind and welcoming. The diner is a must, we had the citrus chicken and it was the best typical moroccan dish we had during our whole trip. It is really well located, you can access all of the attractions by foot.

We really like staying here. The location was great, just 2 steps away from the medina but very peaceful and quite. Room facilities were new, and breakfast was delicious. The owner and staffs were caring and kind. It is our favourite place in Morocco.

Everything was amazing. We arrived and instantly felt extremely welcomed in Namir's home. Dar D'or is a beautiful Dar, extremely clean and with a great location just at the corner of the Medina. Quiet place. The owner, Namir, was absolutely available for everything. He was always kind and very honest with us. Namir booked us a tour with a local guide (Mohamed) to visit the Medina and all the famous places in Fes. It was wonderful. Mohamed was very patient, he explained a lot of interesting things about the city and its culture. We had lunch at a Riad Neijarine by his suggestion and it was lovely! We ended up extending the tour with Mohamed and also visited some places around the city, such as the place were the tiles are made and all the traditional pottery. It was so interesting! Breakfast at the Dar was lovely and delicious with various options. We had dinner for three nights in the Dar and everything was delicious. They made sure we tasted different thing every time. The chef is Namir's wife, so the food is homemade and prepared at the exact time. Youseff was also really kind and always made sure we were happy and that everything was fine. On the last day we rented a car and Namir drove us to the agency just to help us reach the place easely. He also helped us with the parking. Absolutely amazing and helpful. Wordefull experience and a place to repeat when in Fes, for sure! Thank you so much for the hospitality to Namir, Youssef and the rest of the staff.

Everything was perfect

We had a wonderful stay at Dar D'Or! Namir and his team/family were very hospitable and took great care of their guests. Everyone was very intuitive, patient, and welcoming. We enjoyed a warm breakfast every morning and we opted for 2 dinners at the dar which were home-cooked and delicious. Our room was spacious with additional seating and all the modern amenities. Our room was also cleaned daily which was a plus. The location is also very walkable, very close to the Blue Gate. Definitely recommend!

Not an issue for us personally, but worth noting for other guests that our washroom was not level to the bedroom -- it's positioned a bit higher up so you had to walk up a couple of steps, but it's still ensuite. I think only 1 or 2 rooms are like this though.

We LOVED LOVED LOVED our stay at Dar D'or. The location is superb...just outside the medina walls means that transportation can leave you right at the front door. The building is gorgeous and peaceful. The breakfast freshly made with local juice and fruit each day. Namir and his staff are beyond spectacular. Kind, helpful, warm and inviting, and provided connections to local guides and settings that are unbeatable. Our time at Dar D'Or was without doubt the best part of our two week stay in Morocco.

Amazing stay with great and helpfull staff

Absolutely nothing !

Outstanding value for money. The owner Namir has created a little tranquil oasis on the edge of the Medina. Communication from the start was excellent and he arranged an airport shuttle for us which takes all the stress away on arrival. We were welcomed with some mint tea and a brief overview of the local area. Our room, Dikra had a double glazed window to the street outside, which is quiet and a window into the inner courtyard. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and good quality white linen. WiFi worked okay in the room. The room also had a/c which was a blessing... the whole riad is very clean and well presented. Breakfast was very good, with eggs cooked to order and loads of tea and coffee. Namir arranged two private tours for us with a car and driver, which were very reasonable (Only slightly above joining a group tour, so great value). Our driver, Charif was a delightful character and really made our tours very enjoyable, stopping anywhere we requested and explaining everything along the route. I would highly recommend trying to get Charif as your driver if available, first class. All the family and Yousef, at Dar D'or could not do enough to make our stay a enjoyable one during our three nights stay. Highly recommended.....

The riad is better than a hotel! You will find so many nice amenities in the room. We asked for a guided tour and they surprised us with an excellent guide who spoke Italian

location is excellent, it’s inside the Medina but easy to access and also close to the main road leading to outside. the room is spacious, clean, comfortable and well ventilated. the hotel is beautifully decorated. inclusive breakfast has a lot choice and is healthy and tasty. the owner and the waiters are very friendly and helpful to give advices and book tour / transfer. try the dinner ( extra cost but reasonable) if you can. it has been the best meal we had in Morocco!

Namir and his wife made our stay unforgettable at this beautifully decorated Dar. We asked for airport transfer, a spa suggestion, laundry, two delicious homemade dinners and a private guide for the Fes medina, and all requests were dealt with kindness and efficiency. The Dar itself is located 5 minutes from the Blue Gate, it has "living" areas on the ground floor where you can have a Moroccan mint tea, and also a rooftop section with chairs and tables with nice sunset views. Wifi was also very good, I had video calls with no issues from our room. Breakfast is very substantial and authentic.

We can't think of anything negative about our stay. We will definitely stay here next time, and recommend Dar D'or to friends.

Excellent breakfast, every day there is very good fruit and citrus jams. You can have fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee and milk. Great for a good start to the day. The guy serving breakfast is very professional and friendly, a discreet but very kind presence. Absolutely must also try the dinner at the Riad. Great food and elegant table, absolutely not to be missed.

This Dar is impeccably maintained. It is just too beautiful! Room was appropriate in size for the price. Breakfast was adequate. The family that runs it is hard working and prompt in responding.

The first evening we arrived, the owner was insisting us to not go into the famous Fes Madina (at 5PM while Sun set at 645PM). He said it is very unsafe (to even him). He also said to not to go into it with out an official guide. It felt like a ploy to keep us at the hotel and eat their provided dinner. While the dinner itself was good, it felt like we wasted our time sitting at the hotel when we could have gone out. The next evening we were out till 830 and never felt unsafe. He also said other strange things like that going with guides will get you lower prices. Any reasonably traveled person knows that going with guides leads to higher prices as they take the cut. I understand the locals want to help each other out (hotel owners and guides). But it should not come at the cost of misleading your customer.

Family run, super helpful and friendly. Love the details of the special Moroccan Riad feels and the bed is of good size. It’s within the medina and walking distant to the Blue Gate
