Others than No A/C but one small window unit for the whole house and it being Record heat wave the place was nice the pool made all the difference very close to shopping if your going to the SanDiego wild animal safari park it’s only a mile away

Potential renters beware!!! This VRBO listing is not accurate. The house is filthy - sheets were clean but there is dirt, dust and cobwebs everywhere. Property is not well kept. It is very old and straight up creepy. The property description states that this property has air conditioning. THIS IS A FALSE STATEMENT. What the owner lists as AC is really only one tiny mobile AC unit in the living room that does not even blow out cool air. Standing floor fans covered by dust are placed all over the house but only serve to blow hot air around. We bought a thermometer to read temp in house which was 85 degrees in the morning. Electrical wiring is obviously not up to code. All the fans plugged in everywhere cause the breaker switches to flip repeatedly and make a loud popping noise and spark. Owner claimed this happened because the mobile AC unit was plugged into the wrong outlet. Owner was very rude and threatening when we contacted him about these concerns. He denies all claims that house is hot or that there are electrical wiring issues. All he says repeatedly over and over is "The house remains cool when warm outside and warm when cool outside." He cites the adobe construction as what provides a comfortable temp in the house. We rented the first week in August, and it was warm outside making the house temperature unbearable, especially when trying to sleep at night. We contacted VRBO and they advised us to leave the property, and we found another rental property to finish the remainder of our vacation. The owner then proceeded to spew lies and charged our account with unsubstantiated additional charges because we obviously made him angry by contacting VRBO with our complaints and concerns. Owner originally stated that he would offer a partial refund, but this never happened. This man is not stable, and we no longer felt safe staying in his property or even having direct contact with him. We will be filing a formal complaint to launch an investigation into the inaccuracy of his property listing. We realize that we are not going to recoup the money for this rental as VRBO cannot force a property owner to provide a refund, but we do hope to help another family, group, etc. from renting this property and going through a nightmare of an experience. We kept record of all conversations with this owner and VRBO as well as videos and photos documenting supporting our claim.

I stayed here with some friends and family for my sister’s bachelorette weekend and had an amazing time. There were some cobwebs here and there, but I think it’s just the fact that it’s out in the country and the bugs there work fast. The house itself is beautiful and comfy. There’s no AC so just a heads up you might want to spend the day in the pool to stay cool, but there are fans everywhere and a unit in the living room :) would definitlry stay here again

We had a fantastic weekend with the family by the pool. Great space. Definitely recommend it. One suggestion: clear out the spider webs all around the house. After guests have your cleanup crew hose the outside of the house down. Easy & makes a huge difference.

We thoroughly enjoyed the facility and pool. The accommodations fit our whole group of 12 adults. I highly recommend that the stove get replaced before the next guests, only two small burners worked but were not adequate for cooking for the group. We all fit very comfortably in the living room and covered patio. PS, the house does not have A/C, only fans but we spent the entire daytime at the pool.

The villa was all we needed for our family vacation. We had five families stay altogether and everything was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back ! Thank you

Joseph was very communicative throughout the whole process. The house itself was very spacious. My friends and I spent all day in the backyard playing games. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend this house to anyone with a large group.

We came to this property for a veteran retreat and it was such a great experience. The owner was very helpful and accommodating for our specific needs. The property was very pretty and provided a relaxing atmosphere for our guests to unwind. I highly recommend this property.

I just had a 100+ person wedding at this venue over the weekend and heard nothing but positive feedback all around. Spacious property that allowed the entire wedding party and family stay together under one roof! It was a great experience and great communication with the owner. Would certainly recommend!

The house is very spacious and great for entertaining. All the kids in our party had a blast and the men really enjoyed the covered patio/ grill area. They were able to hang out outside and watch tv. The house itself could use some maintenance but it was perfect for what we wanted. It also had a lot of cobwebs, the house wasn’t dirty but it did feel a little dusty. None of us had phone signal at the house and the wifi wasn’t very reliable but we all enjoyed the break from our phones and welcomed it. We loved how big the backyard was and you the surrounding area is so beautiful. Our kids had a blast playing outside.

It's a great spot to getaway for the weekend. It was a bit hot when we went in late August since there's no AC on property, but there are many fans which helped cool us down and a jump in the pool was the perfect way to stay cool.

There were exposed electrical wires outside. There were piles of wood, not for fire, just piles of would and what really looks like garbage or just discarded project leftovers on the sides of the house. That must be part of the “rustic” look. Its also a safety issue and eye sore. The horse area is small. Not sufficient for 2 grown horses. Just makes you feel sorry for them. A breaker flipped when a guest was blow drying her hair, it wouldn’t reset. We happened to have a few handy gentleman that were able to shut off the power, remove the breaker and reset it. When we attempted contact the owner, there were no responses. We called the grounds person, who just happened to be there when we arrived and left his number, about where we could find towels and he didn’t not know, they were found later moldy in the washer. We were told someone would come help park cars, a no show. If the grounds person wasn’t there when we arrived, we would not have known that we were not allowed to park on the driveway and had to park on the dirt lot next to the horses. The other few negative reviews have replies from the owner basically saying nothing is their fault and what do you expect in the wilderness, don’t look in that direction and excuses. Please, owner, don’t bother. There really is no excuse for that level of cleanliness. The cobwebs were old dirty cobwebs. Not new, you can tell the difference. It’s clear that good enough is sufficient to you or whoever cleans the home between guests. Yes a spider can spin webs quickly. The amount of webs was literally every corner. A house that sleeps 20, should have been better stocked with basic things like enough forks, towels (9), trash bags, dishwasher pods and detergent. If we’re meant to provide it, it should be mentioned. The outside lights are a joke. More like 5year old stands of Christmas lights and only 2 out of the 100 or so actually work. We asked for the sprinklers to be turned off the day before our arrival. We found the time and had to do that ourselves. We made the best of it, but if your planning an event here beware. This place needs a lot of work.

We stayed here for almost two weeks. This rental was a place we looked forward to "coming home to." We really enjoyed our stay! The backyard amenities were amazing; the pool, grassy area, bbq, gazebo, and patio were all popular locations! And, the home felt really good to come back to after a long day away. Thank you!

Super clean and adorable adobe house, great for multiple families to stay. Main family room and kitchen are located in the center of the house and bedrooms and baths are off to each side on their own wings. Huge pool was great for cooling of and getting the kids worn to to sleep. The outdoor kitchen set up is where we spent most of our time. Would stay again!!!
