We enjoyed the rooftop deck and the “courtyard” deck and spa pool! Wifi was excellent & having a covered parking permit was wonderful as we had a car, taking day trips to visit some of the other wonderful towns in Umbria. The fully equipped kitchen was great, too, as was having a washer & clothes dryer in the unit. Our hosts and Moira, the property manager, were fantastic!

This was a very memorable home to live in for a week. From the very beginning, even before the trip began, we were sent a list of sights and restaurants and places of historic interest to visit nearby. Arriving in Trevi, there is a property manager who greets you personally and tours you around the home. And this is a home that surely deserves a tour. Multiple floors of beautiful architecture, design and history. Even the modern sections (pool, deck, etc) are an architectural wonder. The home was spotlessly clean, which given the size, is a feat in itself. Bathrooms have ample towels and the water is hot. The WiFi is strong throughout the house. There was a wifi/blue tooth speaker in the main living room and we played soft classical music (very suitable to the frescoes and appointed rooms) that could be appreciated throughout the three floors. Trevi itself is a treasure. Compared to Spoleto, Asissi, and other nearby Umbrian towns, it’s smaller and not overrun by tourists. Yet it has everything to offer: a medieval hilltop town with amazing restaurants, a couple of good bakeries and bar/café options. (A newer restaurant/bar called “Apriti Sedano” draws a fun, cool crowd from other towns in a modern three-level space with a food/ apertif/wine/digestif “all inclusive” prix fixe). We would definitely stay at this home again as a unique experience in an unspoiled town.

Palazzo Neri is, in a word, spectacular. The 16th century chapel has been beautifully and thoughtfully restored into a spacious and comfortable home at the heart of the charming hill town of Trevi. The moment you walk through the Palazzo’s ancient front doors, it’s 60-foot-high living room takes your breath away. We loved having a glass of wine on the rooftop deck every night before going to dinner in one of the many wonderful restaurants in Trevi. Looking out over the village rooftops to the surrounding olive groves as the moon rises is a scene we will never forget. The kitchen is large and super well-equipped. And the outdoor “pool room” is a private sanctuary with comfortable loungers perfect for reading a book on a lazy afternoon. And once you do venture out, Trevi is centrally located amidst some of Umbria’s most stunning towns and countryside. Thank you Bernadette and Rik for welcoming us into your fantastic home. We look forward to returning one day soon!

We loved every minute of our time in Umbria. Trevi was a perfect place to spend our week. It was central to so many towns we had not yet visited and Rik and Bernadette gave great suggestions. Moira, owner of the wonderful Cafe Roma in the main piazza, was so helpful and the cafe is a perfect place to enjoy watching the town roll by. Every time I glanced around the apartment, I was truly amazed by how lovely this property was. Sometimes if it seems to good to be true, it is actually that good! The Green Heart of Italy always draws us back. Thank you for making our stay so special!

We feel so fortunate to have found this wonderful place in Trevi—a unique blending of classic baroque and contemporary. The photos only begin to capture how remarkable this place is. The circular stairs gave us access to everything from the roof top deck to the pool downstairs, but took some getting used to. A great location near the center of Trevi, with lots of dining options but also a well stocked kitchen. Moira was very welcoming, gave us a complete tour, and was available for questions.

Beautiful apartment, just be aware of the stairs
Beautiful apartment, just be aware of the stairs
Wonderful apartment, nicer than the pictures. The decor was stunning - a beautiful balance between an older/traditional feel, but with modern, comfortable, artful furnishings. The location is convenient, too, once you find the least steep way up from Piazza Mazzini - important if you have a lot of luggage. My husband loves to cook, and said this was one of the best kitchens we've had. It was a very nice bonus that the owner provided a parking pass in the nearby garage. The layout is a bit quirky, which is part of the charm, but something to be aware of. Another reviewer said the stairs were narrow and steep, but didn't mention that it's a spiral staircase, which took me a few days to get used to. We didn't even try to get our suitcases upstairs - just brought up what we needed. The layout is like this: enter in the living room, which is at the same level as the dining room and a half bath. It's few steps down to the kitchen. From the living room level, it is 9 steps up to the area with the TV and 1 bathroom. This is a really nice room to hang out in. Then another 5 steps up to the first bedroom. 13 steps up to a landing and 4 down to the master bedroom, which has an ensuite bathroom, and is open to the area downstairs. Finally, another step up from the landing to the last bedroom, and another short flight to the roof. So the only bedroom where you don't have to navigate steps during the night to get to a bathroom is the master. All in all, it was a treat to stay here.

The pictures seem unbelievable until you open the doors to the former church and it is as described...check in was easy as expected in a small town...every supply was in the kitchen ...rooftop is great...the inside stairs were narrow and steep, but part of the charm of the church...enjoyed it very much
