This hotel is in a beautiful area. It’s very quiet and peaceful, and the scenic beauty is beyond compare. The hotel is run by a family, and everyone we encountered was very kind and accommodating! My dad and I stayed in one of the apartment-style hotel rooms, and it was very spacious and cozy. We almost felt like we were guests in someone’s house. If you want to spend time in the actual village of Bad Schandau, it is about a nine-minute drive or a 25-minute walk from here. This hotel is perfect for access to hiking trails, and taking in all the world-class scenic beauty of the area- even from the windows of your hotel room! This little corner of Germany is so quiet and peaceful, you will almost surely get a good night’s sleep here!

There was nothing that we didn’t like here! Do keep in mind that this hotel is not in the actual village of Bad Schandau. That is about a 25 minute walk from here. We knew that going in, and we loved being surrounded by the unparalleled scenic beauty of the area.

Very cute old-fashioned Haus. Our apartment had lots of character. We had a separate living room, there was a small kitchen and dining area.

Lots of stairs to get to our room (not a problem for us). Coffee making facility would have been nice. Biggest draw back for us we could hear every step of the people staying above us through the wooden ceiling and consequently had a very bad night’s sleep. Location is very remote, you really need a car.

Breakfast (albeit expensive) was totally excellent. I wasn't hungry until the afternoon. Location is very good for walking among the rocks. For visiting Bad Schandau, I recommend using the elevator. The room was nice, clean, we had all the comfort we needed. For the price it was great.

Very nice staff (also speaking English), facilities and it was very convenient to have access to food and drinks on the premises.

The rooms are newly renovated and were neat and tidy. The host was super nice and very welcoming and she also let us check-in slightly early :D The paid breakfast was also very delicious, fresh juice machine along with plenty of choices in both hot and cold categories. And lastly, the location is super nice too. You can just walk to the national park and hike or bike or relax in the greenery. I can surely recommend the place.

Nicely decorated, very clean, very comfortable, great location for hikers, fully equipped, easy check-in including parking aside the appartement.

Check in was open only till 18.00 and it was hard to find the room. The staff assisted happily and solved the issue fast.
