It is a super location with great facilities and sensational views out over the sea. The accommodation was spacious and well-equipped. The communal garden was spacious and not overcrowded. Easy parking onsite. Our host was very helpful and friendly, and in general we had a very good stay here.
The apartment we were in wasn't quite what we were expecting as the images on Booking.com didn't correlate with the actual space. We were expecting french doors out onto the garden, but we were in fact on the first floor. That being said the space was great for a family of four, and we had great views from the main living space with big double windows which opened out so didn't suffer too much as a result. The place could be sensational as it has all the components to make it a top-class destination, unfortunately, the decor is very dated and basic, and could really do with a bit of interior design magic to bring the place up to modern standards. That being said, if it was polished up a bit, it would have been significantly more expensive, but would be reaching its true potential, as it could really be quite special with a bit of work.

We stayed in the cottage/barn (26.8.23)in the grounds of the other properties, the cleanliness was not very good , the cottage smelled of damp/ mould , there was trees and shrubbery covering outside the veranda/ balcony ( no sea view ) fake grass on veranda continually damp , spiders everywhere ..the storage in the only bedroom ( master )was a small cupboard which also smelled of damp the drawers in the bedroom , were very old furniture and again couldn't store clothes in because of the smell of damp .
The bathroom was on the ground floor with no window or ventilation, there was small silverfish found ( due to damp moisture ). We had to have windows open constantly in the lounge and bedroom to get breathable fresh air in , my partner began suffering with a chest infection which is still ongoing been prescribed medication for this ( 6.9.23) the kitchen was small but fairly adequate though this also needs a deep clean a very dangerous trip hazard with a raised step into the lounge with no caution signage , upon departure it is advised by the owner that all guests strip their own beds !!! With a laundry instruction note and a laundry bag - I do not go on holiday to have to clean or strip bedding , access to the driveway up to the property is very difficult and steep narrow for cars to pass through . The communal garden was ok with a selection of tables to sit at , the outside barbecue equipment was filthy and rusty so couldn't use it . We checked out a day early as couldn't bear it , my special birthday surprise ruined 😒.
I wouldn't stay here again if it was free -MY ADVICE DONT GO THERE !!! And a definite no no for young babies/ children or elderly the steep stairs into the lounge are very slippy wood which is hazardous

Size of flat and the garden. Nice and clean.
The beds were hard and the pillows not good so we didn’t sleep very well. The sofa are rather tired too but I guess the price was fair for these issues. WiFi and phone signal was awful!

We spent 6 nights in the cottage. Located in an extremely quiet area, the property was very tidy and had everything we needed (e.g., bowls and plates, an oven tray, dishwasher, hair dryer, and bin bags). We could tell Bryce (the host) is detail oriented. The property has many sockets on both floors which is convenient for charging phones or electric toothbrushes. Bryce is courteous and friendly. He greeted us when we arrived and answered our questions about local attractions. The property is close to Ventnor beach where there're plenty of decent restaurants. There is a designated parking space for cottage guests right in front of the property (thus convenient for loading and unloading our luggage). We also loved the small balcony on the first floor as well as the ocean-view public garden where you may enjoy your food or have a cup of tea.
Neither the Wifi signal nor the mobile network at the property is fast enough. For some reason, the connection speed changed from time to time. We expected this minor issue when we read previous reviews. But this is an acceptable compromise as we didn't plan to spend too much time on screen while having a vacation.

It is a big property with many old apartments, you have all you need in one apartment, huge place to park, the garden shown on the photos is beautiful but definitely not possible to enjoy it on your own because actually it's the garden of the few apartments right next to it. So you feel as you have 10+ people behind you dining, chatting, etc.
There is a smell of an old building, we saw mouse on the second floor. Definitely needs a refurbishment and new decoration.

everything we needed was there great shower and tv and microwave it felt like a holiday even though I was looking for housing to live here. owners are so friendly and helpful I really recommend staying here.

Bryce is a great host, he and his wife chatty and helpful.
Wonderful view of sea from lounge and bedroom windows.
Everything was clean on arrival and all advertised appliances were there and in working order.
Had a little problem with shower control being stiff on first use, but Bryce being on site fixed it in two minutes.
Main road out front is now a no through road so very quiet.
Sun house in garden was great for the evening sun.

Lovely place to stay - very spacious apartment. It had everything you would need - kitchen was well equipped. Garden is very well maintained and spacious, perfect for breakfast outside. The location is not very close to Ventnor (by walking distance), but at the same time very close to costal walk - 5 mins and you can enjoy sea, peace and quiet. Very friendly owners. Overall very enjoyable stay, would definitely return, if we have a chance.
