Location and friendly staff

Comfortable and spacious room, with pleasant balcony overlooking the square. Delicious and large breakfast included. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. We had a really good stay here.

We booked two rooms, and they were both quite spacy. The Hotel is nicely located in the center of Gulpen. All we needed was presented. We had a nice evening at the restaurant, the staff was nice and the atmosphere there pleased us.
We were happy about the room, but for older people the staircase can be a bit of a struggle.

Really nice room looking over the square, additional sitting room as well. Lovely sized bathroom, very clean, nice breakfast and close to the bus station to get a bus to Valkenburg.

We arrived at the property checked in and were asked to pay straight away, which we did. We were shown to the outside door by the owner which lead to the room on the second floor. the stairs were not clean, it was also narrow steep and not very safe.. The room was tatty, there were extensions leads left attached in the room possibly for use. The sheet and duvet cover were black, the bottom sheet was creased and stained. Even though we had paid we left. We are not prepared to accept such a disgusting situation we prefer to lose the cash.

The location is excellent and the room was spacey.
The hotel has only 3 rooms and it turned out i had the one in the top of the building. I had to climb 6 stairs for that and since it was a very hot day and i was tired already, i almost did not make it to the top floor. There is no elevator and i did not expect this overload of exercise. I think it should be in the description, so customers who are not in top condition can choose if they are prepared to face such a long, steep climb.
The bed was really too soft for me.
I had a drink and dinner on the terrace and that location is fabulous. But it turned out to be very hard to attract the attention of the waitresses, with every order throughout my meal. I was not in a hurry, but this was an annoying lack of service.

I really loved the location, since it was off-season the hotel is the only place that is opened 7 days/week. They sell nice bears and good meals. The room was very spacy, so was the bathroom. A big parking lot was available within 100 meters, including EV chargers.
Some things in the room where a bit 'wacky',e.g. the clock radio fell apart when I moved it a bit, and one of the bed lights was not fixed well.

We loved the balcony in our room that over looks the town square. Great location for hikes. Breakfast, dinner & service was fantastic. Great beer selection.

oddly remodeled hotel room, some of it (bathroom) was nicely done, some of it was not all that nice.
Little room for vegetarians, they served the meat at breakfast anyway despite the fact we told them we were both vegetarians.
