The apartment was beautiful, very tastefully furnished, spotless and supplied with everything necessary for a very comfortable stay. Our hosts were helpful and always available if necessary. Some of the attention to detail was amazing and you could spend hours getting interior design tips from the way the apartment was furnished. Lovely setting, just a 5 minute walk from a spectacular beach.

It's a two person apartment (double bed), the pull out bed is neither practical nor comfortable. Wi-fi is a bit slow but perfectly good for video call, etc Slightly overpriced, especially in shoulder season.

Annette was a wonderful host. her breakfast and eating area were top notch! We loved the view from our room.

Parking was a little tight.

Breakfast was superb, beautifully prepared and exquisitely presented. Nothing was too much trouble. Location was as expected with lovely view of surrounding shore as countryside.

Out of our 12 different accomodations, mainly including breakfast I believe the Shores Country House was on top for two major reasons, a so delicatly decorated rooms, so many small attentions, everything was very classy AND an unforgetable breakfast that a 4 stars hotels could easily present.

We had not paid attention that we had to pay cash and we were lucky to have the requested other than that it is quite an amount we are not usually carrying around.

The property is located in an absolutely beautiful area—we were less than a two minute drive from a lovely, quiet beach. It was also located very close to Slea Head Drive, Dunquin Pier, and countless scenic views and landmarks. Annette was an absolutely fabulous host—the room was immaculate and she provided tea and fruit cakes upon arrival. Breakfast was delicious and she also provided us with a list of things to see and do nearby upon our departure. This was one of our favorite places we stayed on our almost two week trip, you will absolutely not regret a stay here.

Breakfast was the best we have experienced in Ireland. The bed was so comfortable we slept so well. The owner was so gracious, kind and the best cook. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Annette is a wonderful host! She was responsive to my questions before arrival, she was kind enough to let us store some things in her fridge and she made us feel right at home. The room was lovely, well appointed and comfortable. Bed was super comfy. And the breakfast was delicious (we had scrambled eggs and salmon, but there were several other choices that looked good). Annette also helped us with getting a reservation at a great place in Castlegregory that we would not have found on our own. We were only there for one night and wished we were staying longer!

There really wasn’t anything that we did not like.

We loved everything about our stay here. It was so welcoming, clean, and comfortable with beautifully decorated rooms. The bathroom was huge and our room even had a walk-in closet. The view was stunning as well. We had some delicious dinner in the local village of Castlegregory and also enjoyed an evening walk on the beach. The breakfast we were served was way above anything we expected and it started our day out perfectly.

The bathtubs and bathroom floors were a bit slippery when they were wet so use caution.

Annette is warm and informative and attentive to details. One can see that she is proud of her home and country.
