Hot tube and breakfast were fantastic!

The room and common shower/restroom looked (and smelled) new and were very clean. The common kitchen was large, with several tables. Breakfast was included.

The guesthouse has recently been renouvated i think, my room and common spaces were clean. Situated in a quite location with a beautiful view of the valley. Hot pot is available for guests without imposed time.

The host lives few meters from the guesthouse but you see no one, just the key is left at the entrance waiting for you with an amount of post it with rules to respect or things know attached every where in the house, sign that the owner is never around. Seen the photos on the booking page with the sheeps, I thought it could be possible to visit the farm or simply finding someone friendly but when arrived I tryed to go to the sheep yard seeing there the owner but when she looked at me she just turn her head and going on doing her stuffs(knowing that I certainly am a guest). Then phoned to her and her cold reply was if I hadn't found the key (so why are you calling??) and that I can watch the sheeps from outside.. I honestly was disappointed that she hadn't neither came to ask if I need something while she looked at me waiting outside. But she had came to the guest house the day after, everything was really embrassing.. I have neither understood she was the owner as she hadn't introduced herself. When she finished preparing the breakfast, she has take sit there in front of the breakfast table to Chek what someone take from the breakfast, as on the amount of post it there was written that is not allowed take away from breakfast. And really embrassing was when I was the last guest and had came also her husband, they sitted here in the kitchen and waiting for me to check out, then from the kitchen they have came out of my room door and sitting there still waiting. But I was still fixing up my stuff. She locked the door of a bathroom before the check out time, but I think that although I was the last one and the check out time it hasn't came yet, I could also take a shower if I want. They both were really inhospitable and cold, come to show them only to kick off the guest and Chek if guests do the take away at breakfast. I don't recommend absolutely

Everything was just perfect. Good size room, comfortable beds, very clean and cozy, the kitchen is big as well and very good equipped. The breakfast was delicious and the owners are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

The property was lovely, very remote in the country side and if you’re going in winter drive carefully. There are plenty of farms nearby, we especially recommend doing a stable visit at the horse farm near reykholt, the rye bread is great! The breakfast was lovely and sitting in the hot tub in the cold was magical.

The hosts are living next door and they are incredibly nice, easy going and helpful! There is a hot tub outside and they turn it on for us, such an incredible experience to admire the stars and the sky soaking in warm water. The breakfast was rich and delicious. Our room was very nice and comfy.

Hot tub with thermal water was 3 meters from door. you can watch the stars all night!

It is very clean and tidy, the room was tiny but comfy. The kitchen is well equipped and spotless, the shared bathrooms we used where spacious and clean. Breakfast is great. The host is very friendly and helpful. There is a walk to a river and canyon right dow. The rd. one of the friendly dogs of the host accompanied me and we had a blast. Perfect location to spot the nothern lights if the weather conditions allow it. There is a jacuzzi it is readily available and clean with an awesome view. It is very homely and comfy. We loved and would definitely come back. It's our number 1 regarding our stays in Iceland. 10/10

What an absolutely wonderful place to stay! Very clean, great room (with own sink), spacious, enough toilets and showers. A good breakfast, the possibility to use the kitchen in the evening, there is even a hot tub. The location is restful and the owners are certainly hospitable. So everything top notch, would love to stay here again! Oh, and very cute dogs :-)

The host provided hottub with a nice view in the evening. The guesthouse is located in a quiet and serene valley. The host's dogs were super friendly.

The cleanliness and the super breakfast

- very nice remote area - the room was decent size - the room had a sink - there was plenty of toilets (2 bathrooms with showers and toilets, and one additional toilet) - not too many rooms - jaccuzzi

- you can hear everything from other rooms or the coridor, the acustic of the building is pretty bad

Great location - lovely view of the quiet countryside, but also easy driving (<20 minutes) to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss and some restaurants. Guesthouse was very nice, well appointed, and clean. The owners were polite and helpful and breakfast was good. The dog was a sweetie. The hot tub was lovely, overlooking the countryside with a clear window to cut the wind. It was very hot and I couldn't stay in it too long, but I enjoyed it.

I liked everything. The only thing that may be a down side for some people - but was a plus for me - is that there's a dog who greets guests as soon as they get out of their car or exit the guesthouse. (She does not go in the guesthouse.) If you have a severe allergy or fear of dogs, it could be a problem. As someone who adores dogs, I loved it.

very nice property in a well positioned place, close to a few places to visit. Hot spot available. Good breakfast and very good host. We enjoyed the trip in the area and the gravel road to the glacier and the national park

This was my second stay here - still lovely! Great facilities (kitchen, hot tub) and comfortable spacious room. Good breakfast and lovely owner. Great location down the road from Hraunfossar, and there's the added bonus of a wonderful hike to a nearby canyon and waterfalls from the door.
