Everything was wonderful! The hotel is beautiful, staff is extremely friendly and genuine, the views from our room were amazing! This was the nicest hotel my family has ever stayed at! I don’t know how we managed to get a room on the 16th floor with access to the Club Lounge, but I highly recommend it if you are able to book into a similar room.

Room smelled like cigarettes, no airflow, hot at night, couldn’t control temp, dated everything

The staff were so helpful . we moved from a high rise with no opening window on the 27th floor . the staff ensured our window opened and we were both comfortable. the rooms were huge with a lovely sitting area to enjoy the amazing view of the harbour and the ships coming and going . close to everything

Great location next to the beautiful flower gardens and water’s edge. Very short walk to China Town. Convenient place to stay before getting on a cruise ship. Very spacious room with lovely view. Free bottled water and toiletries in the room was a great addition.

I couldn’t find a room service menu so assuming this wasn’t on offer which was a shame if arriving late to the hotel (went to the nearby McDonald’s to grab a very late night snack).

we loved it here, they looked after us and it felt so luxurious. Yokohama is awesome & this hotel is one of the most grand I have stayed in.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, everything was perfect, the view over the harbour, the staff, the location, the old world charm. It is a very unique place in this modern world.

Italian restaurant was brilliant, location was great & lovely having the roses in the park as our view, staff very helpful & efficient.

Nice view from the room. Very friendly staff. We could leave our luggage after checking out. We enjoyed our breakfast overlooking the sea.

We prefer a bathroom separeated from the toilet.

The New Grand is such a beautifully preserved historical hotel. The facilities and rooms were all lovely and well-maintained/renovated. All of the staff members were very polite and friendly. We really enjoyed drinks in the hotel bar. It’s a very elegant hotel in a great location.

The hotel has an classic european decor which is a nice change for a Japanese hotel. Amazing customer service too!

No gym and no breakfast option to be added during the hotel booking.

Given the hotel's history it was very nice viewing the hotel and enjoying the surrounding area. Staff was very pleasant and restaurants were open decently late to enjoy a meal.

I've been staying at this hotel since I was a little girl; my grandma would book it all the time. The staff have always been at the top of their game, as polite and helpful as can be. Our room this time was very roomy with a fantastic view of the bay. Loved it! Location is always great, as Yokohama's chinatown is my favorite. I prefer the Japanese breakfast, but my boyfriend wanted the western one and we went for that instead. It was tasty. Wish I thought to stay another night!

Beds were stiff, but I think it's to be expected, as this hotel appeals more towards elders.
