We were a little skeptical to celebrate the holidays away from home but Maxine is an amazing host and made this trip simply one of our top favorite Christmases as a family! The villa is beautifully decorated and Maxine provides more kitchen supplies and starter supplies than we ever have! I was particularly nervous cooking Christmas dinner in a kitchen that was not mine. She simply had everything that was needed and more! The view was studying and we were pleasantly surprised to see both sunrise and sunset from her villa! Top-notch, and would definitely recommend

Have stayed in Windswept villas over 20 times. Condo was decorated beautifully. Stocked pretty well. Outside patio super small. I had to sweep both sand and leaves from the foyer as soon as I got there. Inside windows not clean. could write in the dust on shelves. A few dead moths in the window shelf. Dead bug in the corner. I had to go the the grocery and buy Chlorox to clean the molded washing machine before I could do laundry. I went to get a towel and washcloth out of BR cabinet and they were all significantly damp. I had to dry them. the beds had old memory foam on mattresses that was broken up. My fitted sheet was on inside out and continually came untucked. Same with the master BR. Cheap, one ply tissue paper and toilet paper. Condo did not smell good. Probably needs air filters changed. I cannot recommend for the price and will not rent again. Has a lot of potential, but I came to relax, not clean. Disappointed.

Kiawah Island is so beautiful, and our condo overlooked the beautiful beach plus wildlife living in the trees along the dunes. We loved all the nature this island has. The condo is centrally located and an easy 5 minute drive to Fresh Fields for shopping. The only negative is there are about 20 stairs to get to the first floor where the elevator is so for unloading it was a bit difficult. The unit itself didn't have an elevator, which I had assumed it did but that is on me. Maxine the owner is a true delight and very concerned about your stay. She wants to make sure you have the very best experience. We have stayed in a lot of beach homes on the east, west and south, and I must say she is the best host we have ever had. Kiawah Island is a must especially if you have never been. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful, ocean view condo and Maxine's careful attention to her guests made the trip so memorable. In addition to being right on the beach Maxine's deep connection to Kiawah and the surrounding areas helped us quickly locate all of the best restaurants and activities providing for a wonderful vacation for my family.

Maxine has done everything possible to create a delightful stay at Kiawah. She has provided everything needed to prepare meals. We appreciated the beach chairs and towels, She offers great recommendations on what to do and where to eat. She did everything possible to make sure her guests had a wonderful stay.

This is a true luxury, beautiful ocean view condo.. while we were two couples, the condo can sleep eight. If having a television is important to you (it was to us), every bedroom as well as the living area is equipped with one, most have their own private bathrooms and the one that doesn’t shares a jack and Jill. The owner, Maxine, suggests restaurants, both on and off the island, which is wonderful, especially for first-time visitors. Kiawah is a beautiful, private island. And February is, in my opinion, the perfect time to visit.

The 2 floor condo with an ocean view was spectacular. Maxine, the owner, is delightful and the village and restaurants on and around Kiawah are first rate. We hated to leave and will return.

Beautiful penthouse
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this exquisite penthouse. The location was perfect - steps away from the beach. The space was beautiful with fun pops of color, a well stocked kitchen, and comfortable seating and beds. We will never forget the gorgeous sunrises over the ocean. Maxine is delightful and generously shares recommendations for restaurants and activities. Highly recommend!

Simply Heaven
From the day I booked our stay in this condo, I knew we made the right choice and were going to have one more unforgettable experience in Kiawah. I've been to Kiawah at least 25 times in my life and I've never felt so confident that our stay was going to be in an amazing place before I arrived....and it proved to be that and more. This condo is impeccable and had absolutely everything we needed, including the most breathtaking view of the ocean I have ever had. Maxine is a gem and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of during our stay. I learned about places and tips I never even knew... even after having had visited the Island dozens of times. Every thing about this condo and experience is beyond 5 stars and we will be back again.

Not only is this the best rental property on Kiawah Island; it is also managed by the best, friendliest and most welcoming host on Kiawah Island.
My fiance and I rented for a week and it was one of the most memorable weeks and vacations we've had. The penthouse was furnished to perfection with everything you could possibly need. The proximity to the beach was second to none. and the cleanliness of everything was spectacular. We felt right at home as soon as we walked in and knew we wouldn't want to leave once we were there.
I could go on and on about the property, but the thing that makes this rental unique is the person that owns it. Max is the best host we've ever had. From the personal phone call right after you book, the news letter giving you all the best places to go, her connections to get you a table at the best restaurants when everything is booked, to helping me plan a proposal during our trip. She goes above and beyond for her guest and tries her hardest to make your stay the best experience possible.
If you book your stay with her you will not be disappointed at the service that you get. Cross your fingers that she is on the island when you are there because you will get spoiled.
I will not rent from anyone else when we decide to return to Kiawah Island.

Overall this property was wonderful. Only issue we had was one of our friends was still using a walker after back and knee surgery. Even though there was an elevator there are steps coming in the entrance. I would not recommend this property, if someone was in a wheelchair.

WONDERFUL PROPERTY
We have rented many properties on the island,but this one was everything that it was advertised to be. Maxine, is absolutely AMAZING @ making sure that you are satisfied, happy, & have everything that could could possibly need during your stay. The view is so tranquil & the property has a very calming effect.

Beach in October
This property is situated on a lovely place on Kiawah. It’s beautifully decorated and has a well stocked kitchen. Maxine, the owner, was so helpful in providing recommendations for dining, shopping and site seeing:) Sunrise and sunset are particularly beautiful viewed from the beachfront windows. Lovely Beach Front Condo
The condo is lovely. There is plenty of space. The windows offer stunning beach views and lots of light. The kitchen is well stocked, the bedrooms are beautifully done, and the amount of storage space is amazing!! The walk to the beach is just two minutes. It was easy to reserve chairs and umbrellas that were set up right down the boardwalk nearest the condo. Maxine provided great detailed information about places to eat, things to do and see, where to rent bikes, and other important stuff to know. The bottle of wine left for us was a nice treat.
The only issue, if you want to call it that, is that the listing says there is a pool. This is a bit misleading, as there is not a pool on site at the condo building. Maxine does provide access to a pool at her private club, which is a few miles away, but you won't conveniently be able to play at the beach and then get in the pool, at least not at the condo building.
That issue aside, we had a great stay. We played on the beach every single day. The waves were gentle, the sand is pristine, and the people are friendly. Kiawah was a great getaway.

This was our first VRBO experience but won’t be our last! Maxine is an amazing host! Her property is beautiful and she has attended to every single detail to make your stay a perfect one. The views are amazing, the location perfect! All of her recommendations are spot on ...save yourself time and follow her restaurant recommendations. You won’t be disappointed!! Beautiful condo; well fitted out; stunning views
This apartment/condo is beautiful, (the pictures online are genuine). It is very well furnished and is surprisingly spacious. It has all the appliances you will need and more crockery than I knew what to do with. Comfortable beds and plenty of linen and towels.
Also, don't forget the bogie boards and beach games (all in the closet).
This is "the place" to enjoy your vacation in Kiawah.
Kiawah is a stunning location- the beach, the golf courses; the wildlife. All literally on your doorstep in 4464 Windswept.
And lastly, Maxine (the owner) will provide you with a fantastic list of restaurants; supermarkets; bike rentals; cleaners....even babysitters on request.
This is as good as holiday condo rentals gets.

We had a wonderful stay, the apartment is beautifully decorated and it's location cannot be beat. The condo has beautiful views of the ocean, and its right on the beach which made it very easy with our little ones. The kitchen has everything you could want and more stocked. We had a great time, and Maxine is an amazing resource for all things Kiawah.

We had a fabulous time. The home is gorgeous and has everything you need! Comfortable and spacious enough for 6 adults and one child (room for 2 more children). We rented bikes, as Maxine recommended, and used them every day. We will be back!!
