It is located at one of the most famous streets in Tunis

The place is very noisy at night and in the early morning. In the early morning, they are doing some renovation to other rooms, but they didn’t do anything when I called they to delay the work a bit especially that we couldn’t sleep at night due to the very loudly music

It looked nice but unfortunately we didn't stay as the hotel cancelled our booking the day we arrived even though we booked a non-refundable room. Apparently this is usual practice as they overbook their rooms and cancel on the day.

The receptionist was really not helpful at all and instead informed us that he had already given our room away and there was nothing he could do even though we had booked to stay weeks ago. It was extremely disappointing and terrible service and we had to quickly find and book another hotel late at night. Luckily there was one available around the corner and the staff at Hotel Tiba were much friendlier and welcoming. I do not recommend this hotel at all and wouldn't trust it. I've never had this happen before in all my travels. Booking.com were no help at all.

They are not professionals. I had a confirmation for one night (Friday 19.5.2023) and we called them (we also send a request through booking) for extending our stay for one more night (Thursday 18.5.2023). They confirmed it through telephone but when we arrived they provided ridiculous excuses. It was obvious they have overbooked it. Thanks to a friend of mine I found another hotel to stay for the night and to come back to it next day as my booking was no-refundable.

Where to start? The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional from the security to the cleaning ladies, receptionists, and waiter staff at the restaurant. Thank you all for giving us such a nice stay at the Carlton Hotel. Location is amazing, sitting in the main Avenue of the Capital (Habib Bourguiba) 10 min. walking distance from the medina (to the left) and 10 min walking distance to the train station (to the right) that takes one to Carthage, Sidi bou said, and only 12 min away from the airport by taxi. The breakfast is fantastic, varied and tasty, better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in Tunisia. I am really going to miss having that breakfast every morning

This is the second time I stay in the Carlton. I like a lot about it. The rooms are cheerful, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a big variety of foods. This time I want to commend the receptionist Mr Sameh and the housekeeping staff. I left behind some of my things including a necklace that belonged to my grandmother and mother and which has important sentimental value to me. When I discovered I forgot to pack the necklace after I flew home, I called the hotel and they found my belongings and are keeping them for me until I can have them collectedl. I really appreciate the courteous help I received from Mr Sameh and housekeeping staff.

Clean, very friendly staff and high level of service. We asked to change rooms after the first night to have a view of the avenue, and the staff moved all our luggage for us while we were out sightseeing. the location is also amazing — 5 minutes walking distance from the Medina and great pick up spot for taxis. Many breakfast options for both adventurous and picky eaters, with great signage on the buffet.

The bedding was a bit worn and had scratchy “pilling” patches.

I was given a single bed with two beds pushed together for the first night serving as a double for myself and my wife which the staff rectified on the second night. The staff were so nice and the best part of the hotel, if it wasn’t for them and especially the reception staff I would’ve hated my trip.The room was dated. The worst was the toilet having a see through window and it being so close to the bedroom. Their was no privacy, the shower had no enclosure so water went everywhere. The Wi-Fi was terrible, I had to connect to the next door restaurant from my room.

-Very mediocre breakfast for a 5 stars Hotel , no variety and super rude chef who acts like an investigator to see if you are actually eligible for their ‘Top Notch’ breakfast 😐 - Visited the Hotel in 2017 and the service was way better. - If you are taking a Room with Road View , you will suffer with the Noises at night no Insolation . -Hotel Slippers are not provided
