very good (secluded) location, charming room, great staff

try to avoid booking rooms on the side opposite to the lake (there is the kitchen and you can smell it)

The staff/owners(?) were very welcoming but the location is the main thing. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and on the edge of a charming lake. So it was really quiet and peaceful. We had a suite, two rooms, although we only needed one, with kitchen (providing a very useful fridge) and bathroom. I suppose it was bit basic but it was comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. You more or less have to eat in the hotel (the nearest alternative is probably miles away) but the food was generous and good value. Breakfast was the usual plenteous German fayre.

There was nothing I actually didn't like!
