The hotel was great for us, cause we stayed there to visit Bellewaerde Park - it's soooo close. The room was cozy and the shower on the bathroom was AMAZIGN.

We booked because of the restaurant (location out of city center). At arrival we hard the restaurant was closed. There was not An update about opening puts of the restaurant at the website.

When we booked the hotel, we didn't realise it was set in the grounds of a WW1 battle field, complete with open air museum, including the remains of trenches and spent shells. The view from our room was lovely, overlooking the ponds which were in fact craters made from underground bombs. The hotel was comfortable and the food at the evening meal and breakfast was excellent.

The room was basic. The bathroom could do with an update and the room could do with a lick of paint. If you arrive on a motorbike take care as the gravel drive is very difficult to ride on.

A lovely quirky family run hotel with WW1 history. The Hooghe Crater Museum is next door and and the crater can be accessed from the hotel for 1 euro. A shocking reminder of the hardship of the WW1 transformed over time into a beautiful tranquil setting that should not be missed. The owners spoke perfect English and were very helpful. We would thoroughly recommend staying here especially if you are looking for something a little bit different and more traditional.

Great breakfast, comfy rooms, wonderful location just next to Alden Biesen

We stayed here many years ago when we travelled from Paris. We loved it so much that we just knew we had to stay again. We love the quant old world charm of the main building. The breakfast was very minimal so remember to keep expectation low. We left with food in our belly and a good hot cup of caffeine.

We were disappointed to be put in the annex that is new from when we stayed there the first time, we really wanted the main building. However, it had a silver lining as the building had AC in the rooms, huge plus and the beds were very comfy.

They did their best (and succeeded) in fulfilling all requests.
