Really nice accommodation, lovely staff.

I found the location hard to find

Breakfast was nice although very repetitive. More choice would have been welcomed. Staff were excellent and helpful. Good location in the centre of the Medina

Having read the previous reviews which helped me with my choice I was sadly underwhelmed. The room was very dark with only a glimmer of natural light. The Riad is in need of some TLC.

Lovely Riad, wonderful staff, beautiful terrace and room. Breakfast was amazing! Pool was a little too cold to use, but was beautiful all the same and great for warmer weather. Easy to get to and central to lots of places to visit. Driver organised to and from the airport, great maps app recommended and shown where we were on a map at the Riad, wonderful stay. Definitely recommend.

Obwohl ich erst um 02:00 Uhr Nachts im Riad ankam, verlief das Check-in reibungslos. Der Gastgeber war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sehr groß und schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und vielfältig, wobei hier eher süß gefrühstückt wird. Die Lage ist zentral aber dennoch ein bisschen abseits vom getümmel. Es führen nur enge verwinkelte Gassen zum riad. Ich habe mich aber nicht unwohl gefühlt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Nice and cozy road. The breakfast was always fresh and delicious. The staff was incredible, specially Salahdin who was always available to satisfy our needs. He was very helpful with amazing tips and provided excellent service.

It was a bit hard to find the location and several people on street tried to scam us to find the Riad

The staff were extremely helpful in offering to print our boarding passes and organise an early breakfast in preparation for our flight. The riad also has a lovely garden with a pool which provides some much needed respite from the heat. Last but not least, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable - we slept like babies! :)

As other reviews have said, we too had a lot of difficulty finding the riad. Google Maps does not show all of the small streets, so I would recommend using the app Maps.me (which does) instead - I have added the exact location to the map. Here are some instructions to help you get there: 1. Turn right off Rue Azbezd/Azbezt onto Derb Al Cadi/El Kadi. 2. Continue straight until you reach an opening outside Riad Les Ammonites (this should be on your right). 3. Turn left under an archway and follow the narrow path. 4. Riad Meriem is number 97 - it should be on your left in an unlit (pitch black) section. The exact coordinates are (31.6287356, -7.9842664). Lastly, despite the interior of the room being very nice, it did not seem to have been properly cleaned - there was hair left on the bathroom floor, and a dinner jacket had been left in the wardrobe.

Staff were incredibly friendly! The breakfast was lovely and the rooms were clean and kept cool.

Walking around old town at night can be intimidating. However the hosts were incredibly reassuring and we were able to call them whenever in need.

The staff were lovely and very knowledgable about the city. They met our taxi to help us get the rest of the way to our hotel, as you cannot drive all the way there. Very quiet at night, beautiful riad, felt quite authentic. We loved the rooftop and outdoor spaces. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Not all our plug outlets worked (most were hanging out of the wall). They don't offer any transportation to the riad when you book via Booking.com (the the one they offer on their website is way overpriced). We booked a taxi via booking.com but as you can only get to the riad via pedestrian pathways, we could not get all the way there. Google maps has wrong location for the riad, so we would have been completely lost if Salahadin has not come to get us from where the taxi stopped. It feels like the owner may be out of touch with the riad, but the staff were amazing. Once we got there, we were overall quite happy with our stay.
