The apartment is very comfortable, and the location is very good. Bear in mind d that the apartment is on the first floor and there is no elevator. The apartment is well equipped, the dishwasher is very handy. However, the oven door lacks a spring, and when you open it to get rolls out, it can fall on the floor. (and possibly damage the tiles) It's a very countryside like environment, lots of green, and complaints from other guests about railroad and street noise were exaggerated. A local supermarket is nearby and also a very good Italian restaurant. The recommended restaurant 12 Apostel was disappointing, mediocre food against high prices.

To the contrary of the luxurious interior, the balcony is not very inviting, old garden chairs, torn pillows, lots of weeds between rhe tiles and an ashtray (old coffee powder packaging) filled to the top with cigarette ends. Parking is about 100 - 200 meters away

The place is awesome, host was very kind and respectful. It is clean. Located in a very quiet neighborhood. There's a restaurant called Twelve Apostles, within walking distance, food is delicious. There are parks around that you can take a nice stroll or hike, beautiful all around. Train station is within a mile and a half, easy walk, from train station you can go to any place in Germany, it's €6 round trip to downtown Essen. Overall, it's woderful.

Excellent apartment, quiet, comfortable and well equipt

The host is great, the apartment is very beautiful, kitchen, living room, bathroom, everything is well designed and clean. The location is not so bad, but nothing except countryside to walk to. Getting to the Autobahn is a drive through the fields, not so fast.

Its just for 2 people. The rest will have to sleep on the couch, which is not so comfortable of course, and makes a mess everyday in the living room. We were a family with 2 kids, 3 and 6. Wont do that again, it was a pain. Would be great for me and my wife alone. Also, 2 floors up with no elevator, not enjoyable if you have heavy suitcases. And parking. There is simply no parking and it is very very hard to park around. Good luck!
