Rooms and food are average, it's a big facility so I was expecting much more. Especially for dinner, there is no separate menu except a buffet, which doesn't make sense if someone is not interested in the buffet. Also, a day restaurant on the beach is average and expensive.

We upgraded to a room with seaview and it was great to see the sunrise every morning. The food is good and plenty with every day, local, international and asian, mainly indian dishes. Staff is great.

I love good coffee so it would have been nice if that was included but you can buy it at the bar for sh 300.

The breakfast was good, there was variety. The property had a beach property, and the swimming pools were nice. The staff on the reception initially was cold but they warmed up in the end.

Well, apart from the large cockroaches in the room and getting electrocuted twice, we faced issues of racism in the hotel. Here is a letter I emailed the hotel while I’m staying which I never got a reply back…typical. “Hi GM, Reservation, Front desk, We are staying in your resort, the Diamond Leisure Beach and Golf Resort in Diani. We find the environment lovely, the rooms clean and the location ideal. We would just like to share our personal experience about how we felt that your hotel staff were racist towards us. We were on our way to breakfast this morning when we were stopped from entering. We asked why, and the two staff said that we are wearing shorts above our knee (two of us), one of us is wearing tank top and one of us is wearing beach sandals. They showed us a picture of what not to wear in the restaurant that was posted in the wall. First, this rule was not communicated to us when we checked in the day before (in the afternoon), nor was there any guidance packet in the room. You see, our room is on the D block and we would have to walk to the restaurant and back to change. Second, we felt very embarrassed when we were stopped, as people were obviously staring at us. We kindly discussed for several minutes and I was ready to head back to the room and change as I felt that the lady was disinterested of our reason, but my companion argued that we are far from the restaurant and we were not informed, so the hotel should at least extend the courtesy to let us in and have our breakfast peacefully. Which the male staff did, and we are thankful. Well, since we already there, I clarified what attire is allowed and prohibited. And the same response from both the male and female staff. They reiterated again that tank tops for men, beach sandals, shorts, for women, bathing suits, and spaghetti straps are not allowed. We went in to have our breakfast, and alas!

Swimming pool .. beach had amazing security Food was good .. excellent Room service was fast and effective Checkin and check out was fast Security was top notch

Loved it ❤️❤️ but provide shower robes , slides and iron box without us having to call reception. Fix the washrooms .. they clog ..,, Wi-Fi is pathetic for w gold resort Put A\c In restaurants Juice and water should be inclusive when you book half board or above !!!

The beach area was amazing. We got to experience turtles hatching and going into the ocean. The staff were polite and always ready to help. Rooms were very clean and housekeeping done very well. Breakfast variety was really good. We travelled with a toddler and were accommodated very well.

The phones in our rooms weren't functioning. We kept going aaaalll the way to the reception to ask for assistance and they kept promising they would fix them but never did. Food (dinner) variety can be better. Not too much to choose from.

Brilliant location and facilities, right on the sea front with multiple pools. Everyone was incredibly kind and happy to help us. Also allowed us to check out late as we had an evening flight booked.

Garden is just amazing. Many vegan options, they made special meals for me too. 3 different monkeys live at the hotel area, many birds, even a lot of hornbills.

The breakfast was excellent with a lot of variety as was dinner. Staff were amazing and helpful with one exception. I was on my own as my friend was unable to come. A couple of the staff spent the occasional 10-15 min chatting with me which was nice. I stayed in a side sea view room and it was lovely. Check in was excellent I arrived very early but they checked me in within 20-30 minutes.

No sunshades. This will probably prove a deal breaker for me as I would have loved to return. They say there is plenty of shade which there is under the trees but it isn’t enough for me. I’m immunosuppressed and need excellent shade. It’s a pity they couldn’t keep a couple of shades for people with medical conditions. Because of that I spent a lot of time in my room. The other thing that annoyed me was a tall male egg chef. He lets people queue jump. When you’ve been waiting a while this is annoying. I assume (maybe wrongly) that the people are good tippers. This is a dangerous route to go down as I have seen other hotels deteriorate to the point of people trying to out tip each other in order to get a basic service. When I mentioned it to him he said sorry you can go and get other food while you’re waiting. I didn’t want other food. Also he doesn’t tip the oil out of the pan before doing omelettes or scrambled eggs. It’s greasy.
