Beautiful Location, very secluded a single track road to access the property

The views are outstanding. A special place that must be close to heaven.

We had a really great time in this beautiful house in this beautiful location. There were hares and stonechats and field pipits in the garden, coastal walks, and we made the trek to Dingle for a rib ride to see dolphins, puffins, and minke whale. The house is perfect (and the internet works!), and Kerry is gorgeous.

We had a wonderful week in Fuschia Lodge. Communication with the owner, before and during our stay, was excellent. The house is beautifully appointed and we watched stunning sunsets. We swam everyday in the nearby beach which we had to ourselves even though the weather was fantastic ! The sauna was an added bonus and we hope to return someday.

We were two families staying in the Autumn half term. Kids from age 10 up. The views across the bay are incredible. The sunsets stunning. The cottage is designed with this in mind. Allowing you to have breathtaking views in the warmth of inside. I’d imagine in the summer it would be brilliant. BBQ’s all the time. The cottage it’s self is clean, well equipped, modern. Plenty of space all en-suite / private bathroom. The location is a good few miles from local amenities not that was a problem for us. If we were coming back to the area we’d rebook in a heartbeat. Thanks for a lovely holiday!

The location is spectacular. It has a wonderful view of the bay and the ocean. Home is perfect for multiple guests because of the 4 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. Lots to do nearby. It’s right down the road from hogshead golf course and a 10 minute drive to Waterville golf course. The owner was a pleasure to work with when I had a few questions.

We loved our week at Fuschia Lodge. Thank you Caragh for the warm welcome on arrival. The basket of goodies was a nice touch too. The house is just lovely, beautifully appointed with plenty of space inside and out for everyone and very comfortable too (we were a family of 8 - ages 13 to 84). The views are just breathtaking and we enjoyed some gorgeous sunsets. We had a wonderful base for the week to explore this magical party of Kerry. Valentia Island and Derrynane Beach were highlights for us. From Fuschia Lodge we strolled along the coast most days and even swam from the slip way (1km to left of Fuschia Lodge) into the crystal clear water of Ballinskelligs Bay .. wetsuits optional! bring goggles and enjoy the rich kelp forest on the sea bed. It was a magical holiday. We will be back!

It was our second holiday in Fuchsia Lodge and won't the last. The house and the landscape are amazing. This time we spent 2 weeks in the end of winter and it was very stormy and rainy. But the house was pretty warm and you can end up the day in the sauna after some long walks. Everything in the house is well maintained and clean. If you need help or any information you can always ask Mary or Caragh. We will come back.

A great property with a beautiful view. The home was very clean and updated. It was spacious and everything worked well. The floor plan was great and included everything you would need. The grounds were terrific and we were able to take long walks.

This is a large, clean, spacious home with lots of windows and beautiful vistas. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was milk and butter in the fridge and wine, jams and soda bread on the counter when we arrived. The kitchen is well equipped. Waterville is an easy walk from the house where we enjoyed the seascape and pastoral surroundings. Being on the Ring of Kerry allows access to diverse vegetation and views. Day trips to Valentia Island and Killarney National Park were well worth the drive. When we travel, we prefer quiet, scenic places and this location met all our needs. I usually wince when I see gushing superlatives used to describe a service or product, but this property deserves all I can throw at it. From the obviously design-led & inspired interior, to the magnificent traditional stone exterior, to the stunning views, this house has it all, in spades. Often in my experience luxury holiday properties flatter to deceive, features that appear charming are often twee, locations often have negative features that are not readily apparent, and often fixtures and fittings are not of the first order. Fuschia is the exception to this rule, the Sea is quite literally a stone's throw away, there is a lovely secluded beach (Never busy) 350m walk, it is situated on a charming quiet back road, but yet only 3 km from the bustling town of Waterville, and the ring of Kerry. Beautiful beaches, gourmet seafood dining in Portmagee, Cahirciveen, Kenmare, wonderful walks, and then to relax on the patio with a glass of wine as the sun sets on the bay in front of you... Bliss!

Driving down the narrow lane to the house was a bit sporty (as I am not used to country roads) but then again so are many other roads in rural Ireland. We arrived too late in the evening to appreciate the spectacular view that I found the next day, which was cloudless, breezy, and breathtaking. The views from the kitchen and living room lookout across the Atlantic and rolling hills. This was my first time in Kerry and certainly not my last visit, especially to the Fuchsia Lodge. The house was spotless and the appliances were all modern, easy to use, and in working order. Two bottles of wine waiting for us was a very nice touch.  The house design takes many influences from the history of the area and incorporates that with modern flair, again a nice touch. The local area has a lot to offer in terms of tourist activities, sight seeing, golf, etc... The local towns of Waterville and Cahersiveen offer many amenities and the people are warm and friendly. My friends and I went into one of the local pubs and there was the after party of a wedding. Even though we were complete strangers and all spoke with an American accent the lovely people invited us to join them while several broke out into songs. It's incredible that everyone knew the words to at least a half dozen tunes. It certainly was a night to remember. Our host, the lovely Caragh C. provided us with exact directions and met us in person to give us the keys as she was in the area. We are already planning to book for July or August next year.

Fuchsia Lodge i a place where you feel at home on the moment you enter the beautiful house: Nice bathrooms, a huge sauna, a kitchen with all the equipment you need, comfortable beds, a quiet place as the library is and a a very great living room with stunning views. What a gem. And not only the house is a gem, also the beach (a little more than 100 steps from the house), the Skellig Bay Golf Course (at the end of the street), the hiking path (the Kerry Way is everywhere yoy go and has tracks that takes your breath away) en the beautiful village Waterville ( a couple of minutes with the car). And last but not least the very friendly and helpfull housekeeper Mary. This house is 'a must do' if you want to stay in Kerry and/or Waterville.

I searched long and hard for a place to stay in Ireland and I kept being drawn to this place. Caragh Curran and Mary Fenton were so easy to work with! In fact, I am embarrassed it took me so long to write this review. My husband, our two sons and their girl friends (all in their early 20s) traveled from Texas, spent a few days in London, and then stayed at Fuchsia Lodge for 6 nights. I cannot even tell you what a perfect place this was for our family-the pictures do not do it justice. It was very spacious, clean, well kept, provided every thing we needed plus many extras. We enjoyed cooking several meals at home and the area info provided to us was useful too. I already recommended this home to friends and I would even stay there if we did not have a large party. It was just amazing in every way. I felt like we had an authentic Irish experience and after staying here, I must admit that Dublin was a bit disappointing - I could have spent a few more days in Waterville at the Fuchsia Lodge! This was a great base from which to explore the area. We had good times at the Lobster Bar too :) Thank you Caragh and Mary for your hospitality and for sharing this beautiful home with our family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Waterville. It was my mom's 70th birthday trip and totally lived up to our expectations. We had guests at at the house from 8 to 70! The scenery from the house was breathtaking and there were great opportunities to fish, hike and golf close by. If you are interested in fishing, definitely stop by the tackle shop in town as they can provide you with guide and alternatives with regard to ocean, stream and lake fishing. We had a great time in streams, Lake Currane and shore fishing. The hiking in the area is outstanding and I would clearly recommend a trip to Bray Head. For golfers, playing Waterville Golf Links is a great experience. I have played many other courses in Ireland and elsewhere but Waterville remains one of my all time favorites. It is a great course and great experience. Go to Smugglers for dinner and enjoy a tremendous view off the the patio at Caragh's house at sunset.

Just spent a week at Fuchsia Lodge with my 2 teenage children and parents.Words just cant justify the views in the location. The house was very spacious, clean and well maintained and every facility that you could imagion was provided. We all had a fantastic time at the house and made the most of exploring by foot the coastal road right outside the house and making our way down to the local beaches. After the initial shock of realizing that they would have to live for a week without internet, it was lovely to see my teenage children enjoying the walks,beaches and especially the horse riding on the beach. And the added bonus was that despite the recent bad weather and gloomy forecast, we had fantastic weather for the week.The local town was very quite but we prefered to stay at the house as the views were better. From morning till night, we just couldnt. stop admiring the surrounding views through the window.We will definitely be back to Kerry again and knew after a week of touring that we had picked the best location in Kerry so cant imagine being anyplace else other than Fuchsia lodge, I mustnt forget Mary who was so helpful and friendly,thank you. Marvellous house in an extraordinary position. The house is very nicely furnished and well equipped. Everything was as described.Mary, the caretaker, is extremely friendly and helpful. The house is ideal for two or three couples as there is enough space to retire from the rest of the group if you want. It is an ideal base to tour the Ring of Kerry. You won't forget the sunsets. In and around Waterville there are several nice restaurants and pubs. We have already recommended the house. Manfred, Gisela, Barbara, Erhard, Luitgard and Sigrid (Germany and Italy)

Our family had a lovely vacation in this beautiful, well-equipped home. There is a nice selection of books, cozy beds, and plenty of bathrooms, which was great for a family with four young children! The location is quite remote, but right off the Ring of Kerry, which made for some beautiful drives and day trips. We would certainly return and would highly recommend.
